Expectations were high, after my sister's go to craft brewery closed down and her husband took to Stone Silo immediately, signing up to be a club member. The building itself did have a stone silo on property that opened up to fields. There was a rustic, farm type feel walking in the front door. Welcomed by stone and dark colored woods, the facility was quite large and clean with ample seating. A glance outside there were fire pits and chairs to sit set, along with an 'adult only' section if you don't like your craft with a crying 2 year old. I sampled a few beer including the IPA, which was a bit underwhelming, but expected since the West Coast is known for quality IPAs. I settled on the Japanese rice lager, 'Nojo with Yuzu.' What a mistake! Not something I could get behind and I like yuzu too. Just too tart for a lager and not what I was looking for in my light beer selection. Second round I tried their Czech style dark lager, Clever Crow. Not sure what about this was supposed to be lager, it really felt more porter-ish to me, did not drink light and just not what I was looking for in a dark lager. The grounds and staff were great, it was a fun place to hang with family, but maybe I just made two poor beer decisions. My family came in town and wanted crabs, so we purchased tickets and a few of them did the all you can eat crab and BBQ. I went for just the bbq, which wasn't bad. Plenty of food, but definitely worth while for those who ate endless crabs. My husband and cousin really liked the IPA there and the view was absolutely stunning. I will definitely plan to go back and get the full experience and try the various brews they have on tap. I have had the Mayta corn beer elsewhere, which eas really good. So Id be excited to have one there. I also like that they offer wine, which is a great option for non beer drinkers. Overall, good experience and worth going back!

Two reasons: (1) Someone I met at the festival said I needed to try their Apple Pie Iced Cream cider. (2) I overheard one of the reps (at the festival) say their popular cider was Raspberry which they didn't have there. So, I knew I had to stop by I was able to taste a few of their ciders on tap and it helped me in making my decisions on which to get (not to drink there but getting them to-go). Not all were on tap, but that was okay. Here is what I got (to-go): Raspberry Creamsicle Orange Cream Apple Pie Iced Cream I enjoyed all three ciders despite them being canned and I'm looking forward to trying others. Red reaper is a wine barrel aged stout, this was the best one I had, it was tasty and not too syrupy. The watermelon hard cider needs some work. It was very medicinal tasting. Like fake watermelon/cough drop flavor. Overall, it's a nice spot and maybe I will come back another time to try other products but with the amount of great breweries in Maryland, it will be a hard sell!

Yesterday was the wine tour and my first time driving in 4 wheel drive. It was a perfect experience, because I wasn't looking to break my Jeep and we didn't want to destroy the farms. We stopped at the winery and had a wonderful viogner . I highly recommend checking out them out. We can't wait to go on another 4 wheel adventure and enjoy good wine, beer, and people.

You can walk to the pine forest and eat at a picnic table beneath the trees or sit indoors (some smell of brewery) or eat on their covered patio. Non alcoholic is limited to Boylan creme soda, root beer or water. It is worth the trip imho for the chili - it is very good chili and he is entirely too modest about it.

We were in the hot Sun on that sunny day, but that was cool with me. We learned of a tour going on, which we got in on. The tour guide who wore an Italian flag bowtie was entertaining and informative. We walked around the vineyard, going inside the cooled storage areas, centrifuge area where the wine is mixed, etc. We even saw some of the old wines they had made from years earlier. We saw sheep dogs, which protect the vineyard from pests, which were cute. Overall, this is a high quality winery with plenty of nice outside & inside seating.
