The quote was $5945 (above our budget). Since we're repeat customers, we asked her for a break on the price and she said no. So...we called Floors to Go and Daniel came to our rescue!! PLUS, their cost was less for a more expensive Mohawk LVP and install than other bids we received.

Well trying to make a long story short, my floors turned out blotchy (which I told him so) and strange lines here and there. He offered no help. I'm assuming he left the color on longer in certain areas from trying to do too large an area at a time. And he left a pretty big gouge in my kitchen area with a piece of wood (splinter) sticking up so it catches on things. But I think the worst part is the stain he got on pretty much every wall in my house and on my white tile floors. I might have to repaint an entire wall because I'm not sure I have to color to do touch ups. I'll try to attach some pics. Also stain on my dishwasher (that won't come out), stain on a coffee table, stain on a white chair, stain on kitchen cabinets and I keep finding stain. I didn't know stain would stick to so many surfaces. He also left a big bag of garbage in my front yard in front of my house for 3 days. And do not expect any type of communication. He was at my house the first day for close to 11 hours, which would have been fine except I had no idea he would be there until 7:15 at night which might explain the stain everywhere due to rushing and it being close to dark and he was probable tired. If do decide to go with this company be sure to cover every inch of your house. There's also dust every where. I'm not sure why they tell people it's not very dusty. Dust is literally everywhere.

There was a hole in the wood and he didn't fix it, he left a raised lip by the door which is a hazard- easy to trip on when walking out of the room, he left some really bad scars and discoloration on the floor, and it wasn't cost effective to do two floors. The living room floor was done well, but really upset about the office floor. I would hire Jason, but not Mike.

He knew that when he gave us the bid. First day crew of 4 was here plus owner. Thereafter, it was two guys. One who knew what he was doing and the second was a new guy who didn't know anything about flooring. So really, only one guy installed the floor. He was supposed to cut off knots off of boards but the boards were so short that it was impossible. ( Flooring turned out to be seconds and No Frills Flooring didn't tell us that.) It took two weeks to complete. We purchased 15% extra flooring so installers could cut off knots but they cut off nothing. We had a lot of flooring left over in unopened boxes that the installer told us he'd return to No Frills Flooring for credit but we got nothing and think installer may have kept that himself. We haven't seen or heard from him since about it. Very disappointing experience for us. Our experience has been that contractors just aren't as honest and open with their dealings with customers as they used to be.
