I have used Harris and Sons for several years and have even recommended him to others so I don't know what is up with Greg now. I had an appt with him, he called and said he would be early. I ran home to move all my furniture and get ready. Then he called and said he was running late. Then he never showed. I had used him a few days prior on a rental I help manage and when the tenant needed to reschedule her appt with him, he was very rude to her on the phone. I hope Greg gets whatever help he needs before he runs his business into the ground.I have moved on to another carpet cleaner who wants the work and is nice. read more

I have used Greg for over twelve years! He has cleaned the carpets in my home, the cushions in my trailer, and the carpets in my rental home. Stains in the carpet are afraid of Greg when they hear that he is coming over. :) I read some of the negative reviews and that just isn't Greg. There must surely be extenuating circumstances to those reviews. Living in another state now, I have had to rely on Greg to take care of my rental in Bend. Recently my rental has gone up for sale so I called Greg to get some of that Harris and Sons magic. The rental housed ten men! My realtor said there was no way I could put the house on the market without replacing the carpets. Well, he didn't know I had the Carpet Whisperer in my pocket...no carpet replacement necessary! Let me tell you about my husband. He is a piggy. So when he used our condo in Bend pretty much for six years straight without ever cleaning it...it was a horrible mess. He was constantly snacking in the bedroom and there were sticky black stains all over the place. There was a large red stain (Kool Aid?) by the dining area, and a couple of pet stains. The place stunk to high heaven! Harris & Sons took the time to do an excellent job. It sounds trite, but the light beige carpets were like new! When I called I told him I needed my carpets done the next day, he made time for me in his schedule and ended up coming on a Sunday! He did an amazing job and he even beat the price of the previous carpet company which happened to be Dalmation. He did my baseboards and removed all of the pet hair which was up against them, I wasn't even expecting that. Had to have the carpets cleaned to get ready for Spring cleaning. The carpets where admittedly a mess, having two boys ages 5 and 2 make for lots of spills and dirt. Greg came in, gave the carpet a once over, claimed it wasn't as bad as some carpets he had seen. He did a super job. I was afraid that some of the red juice and Kool Aid spots would never come out. No problem there. The price was well under what we had been quoted by other carpet cleaning services. Not to mention it was done in less time then he said it would be. It dried so nice and soft. He was so conscientious about going through and understanding the stains on our carpet so he knew how to treat them. I have three dogs so I have my carpets done on a regular basis. Other cleaners would do an ok job but this is by far the best they have ever looked even weeks after he came out. He will be out to clean my sofa and even recommended some home remedies so I could save money. read more

I was quite unhappy with the job Greg did. Before I went on vacation I gave him all the instructions about the combo lock box and which carpets needed cleaning. He was to start the day after I got home. When I hadn't heard anything, I called him and he said he had no notes, only my name and # which he didn't use. He came to the job he said, and the door was locked-that's why I gave him the combo. When the job was done there were still some big stains that I though would be gone. I called and he was defensive. He was to call the next week and come out to see them. He never called and I got the stains out with a grocery store spot carpet remover. I wasn't happy at all. read more

We had an appointment with these guys today. The man who came did not introduce himself, let me know first thing that he was old, had back trouble, and was not up for much of anything. He had parked across the driveway and my wife needed to leave. He had a litlle tantrum about moving the van. I told him to forget it and leave. I called his office to tell them what happened and the guy called me a liar. This has to be the worst company of any kind I ever tried to do business with. Did a great job cleaning the whole downstairs carpet. Which was just full of juice stains and "wonder" spots ( i wonder where that spot came from). Having a very active 4 yr old its amazing how new the carpet looked after the cleaning. Well worth the price, and was actually better than the initial quote. I called Harris & Son's (Greg) at the recommendation of a friend who has been using him for sometime now. I was able to get an appointment in less than a week. We had some pretty tough stains on cream colored carpet that I wasn't hopeful could be removed. Stuff like "Crazy Aaron's Thinking Putty" (it's basically new age silly putty that when dropped on carpet melts into the carpet and is impossible to remove ), dog vomit with green bile, grease and throw in a little pet urine to boot. We are not filthy people but have been dog sitting and well- ya know... anyway Greg was able to get all those stains out and most of the putty as well. If I wasn't looking for it I wouldn't even know it was there. Greg spent a lot of time working out the stains. The rest of the house looks great as well and the ballpark figure he quoted me over the phone was pretty much what he charged when it was all said and done. Thanks for a job well done! read more
