Interior of place is nice and was clean when we arrived. Experience was lovely, Christmas music was a positive touch to our dine in experience. Sandwiches were served fast and very tasty. The only compliant i have is that I don't think we got a large fry with our order which was sad cause I wasn't gonna eat all those fries and was gonna share with my sista...they just seemed a little stingy with the fries here

Placed an online order @ the Wentzville location with a future pick up time 90 min out. The plus side of this experience: there was a bag with a receipt with my name attached ready at the time of pick up. The negative side of this experience: as you can see there was a scoop of leftover elbow macaroni noodle that did not even cover the bottom of the cup covered with invisible cheese sauce ( do you see it?) The takeaway: do not use lions choice for your mac n cheese needs or as part of a Gift A Meal program.

A wholesome image of the entire Lion's Choice experience.

I have a philosophy -- if you have to season or sauce your meat -- you're doing it wrong. If you're claiming to pride yourself on meats, then they're the vessel that can carry sauce, versus chutney -- which is the vessel for various foods to be dipped, because it's the focus. When you bite into a "famous" roast beef -- and it just tastes like a mouthful of Season All Season Salt ... that's the flavor disappointment. We're passing through Wentzville, from west to east and looking for local goodness. Now, I'm filled with Season Salt and regret. The floor is disgusting and sticky. I thought I was in the bathroom, at some trashy dive bar. The chairs did that 'hesitant stick' before pulling free of the floor, as though I'd separated gross, unkempt teen love ... And then ... I pushed the swinging flap to throw the trash away and had flashbacks of being 12 again and hoping that the sticky stuff was just old soda ... or horseradish sauce ...

I'm a little disappointed. The new, or newer Italian beef was so so... Some of the beef was to tough to chew. There large French fry used to be enough for my wife and I, now it's not. I also had a second sandwich a regular roast beef with Swiss I was actually disappointed. I've been coming here for years and never been disappointed. it's been months since I've been to this location, I'm frankly disappointed I'm not sure if ill be back in the near future.

This franchise is very clean. Mostly the same staff since they opened. They've never gotten my order wrong and it's a pretty picky one!

The beer cheese was tasty, and the pretzels were soft & salted. I had a bit of guidance with the menu from my waitress who was very attentive. I ordered the flagship tattooed dog, and upgraded my fries to have the carnivore toppings. It came out and WOW. I didn't know how to eat it. I ultimately ate all of the fries to clear up some room to handle the hot dog. Ended up using a knife and fork because i was making a mess. But both the fries and the dog tasted great. My waitress got me a box before i had to ask, and brought me the check. It was a quick, tasty, pleasant experience.

On our most recent experience, things appear to have slipped off. The service was still good, and…read morethe relaxed atmosphere works, even though the booth I sat in was getting a little worse for wear with a hole in the back, and a lack of support. An odd sign in the entry notes that are no longer accepting their previously issued gift certificates (wait, so you took money for these and are no longer honoring them?), but it didn't impact me. The food was where things went south. It took 30 minutes in a half full restaurant. I ordered the namesake Tattooed Dog, as I've had it before. It arrived with onion rings... 4 of them, from medium down to small. The dog was mostly warm (not hot), but withered like it had been cooking for a while. The meat was placed atop chili that was cold... cold enough to rob the warmth from some spots of the dog. The bun was a soggy mess, and none of the cheese was melted, so it couldn't have been under the heat lamp. It looked fanciful when served, but it was very underwhelming eating compared to past experiences. My wife had the chicken wrap, served with French fries. In a day and age when competitors give out fries like they need to clear an overstocked situation, it was a small handful that would normally be found in a Happy Meal from the famous clown. The wrap itself was shy on the chicken, and heavy on the dressing inside. What used to be a nice place, appears to be sliding downhill, as if the kitchen has given up. If they've checked out, so have we.

When you…read morecome into Friendship Brewing, you can order beer from the waitress but you will have to proceed to the back of Friendship Brewing to order your own food. Benefits Bistro is the food service located within Friendship Brewing. My favorite is the Cajun beef which is served on a flatbread. It was not what I expected the first time I ordered it, but, I was pleasantly surprised as it was excellent. It is served with Billy Goat Potato Chips, which is just the perfect combination with a Friendship Kolsch. The Cajun beef is one of those taste that you will remember and crave, requiring you to return to Friendship Brewing and the Bistro to satisfy your hunger. We found Friendship Brewery about six or seven months ago and has been back numerous times since. Everyone who comes here says it is one of their new favorites. The Friendship Brewery has lots of historic beer memorabilia that decorate the old building. A music stage is located on the back of a flatbed truck inside of the restaurant. They also have a very attractive outside dining area. Come to Benefits Bistro and try the Cajun beef or another delectable item, and a fresh brew from Friendship Brewing. Chairs and table was quite wobbly and unstable. My shrimp po boy was ok, shrimp was excellent but bread was dry and crumbly. Though the place was mostly empty, it took 10 minutes to get my beer order, their in house brewed Andrew's ale, and I wasn't much of a fan of this bitter ale. We won't be back.

There is not a wait list but we got there around the middle of the Sunday morning brunch rush and were seated within 5-10 min. The hostess was not in a great mood but we didn't let that hamper our spirits. The menu is huge. You can have brunch or Mexican lunch. They have your typical breakfast items with a Mexican twist or they have Mexican breakfast items. I chose the build your own croissant sandwich while my hubby got an omelet. Both were served with some sort of potato and came out in huge portions. They also walk around with some type of bread/donut that they offer you. We can't wait to try again!

Lots of staff trying to coordinate getting people seated, and food/drinks going. We only waited a few minutes before getting seated at a table in the bar area. Server came by quickly to ask about drinks and food orders. We needed a couple of minutes, and while we worked on it, a different lady brought a couple of pastries. They were tasty and not as sweet as they looked. We ordered a seasonal breakfast special and a birria dish, along with chips and queso. Food came out after about 15 minutes, and we assumed our server forgot to put in the chips. No worries, as the dishes are huge portions and very tasty! She realized as we were about halfway through eating and asked if someone had already brought them out. We said no and she went and got them. At that point, we could have skipped it. The queso wasn't great and tastes like melted American cheese with some peppers in it. Not at the same level as the other food. Restaurant is noisy, and the walls and ceiling don't help dampen it much. Would come again if in the area, just would make sure to budget more time and check on the appetizer early!

Stopped in for a Friday lunch with some buddies to kick off an Innsbrook cabin trip. Located just…read moreoff the freeway in a large shopping center with plenty of easy parking, this turned out to be a great, low-stress meeting point. The Atmosphere: Quiet Noon, Busy Nights? At 12:00 PM on a Friday, the place was very quiet, giving it a relaxed "waiting for the weekend" vibe. However, you can tell this spot transforms in the evening. It's essentially an adult playground: * Indoor Games: A massive setup for bags/cornhole that looks like a blast for groups. * Live Music: They have a stage and a layout clearly designed for local acts and game-day energy. * The Vibe: Clean and spacious--definitely a solid option for a mid-trip regroup or a late-night hangout. Service & The Whiskey Mystery Our bartender doubled as our server and was excellent--attentive, quick, and helpful with menu navigation. One odd note for the bourbon fans: when I asked for Kentucky whiskey, I was told they didn't have any. Moments later, my friend ordered a Maker's Mark without issue. It seems the whiskey knowledge behind the bar might be a bit hit-or-miss, so if you don't see your favorite on the back bar (which features staples like Jack and Jameson), it's worth a specific ask! The Food: Go for the Catfish The menu is straightforward bar fare, but the Catfish is the absolute standout. * Catfish Fillet Platter (4/5): Two generous, fresh, and piping-hot fillets. These are clearly not your standard pre-frozen fare. The fish was flaky and well-prepared--easily a 4.5/5 on its own. * The Sides: The platter comes with tater tots, hush puppies, and coleslaw. While the slaw was tasty (on the sweeter side), the hush puppies and slaw didn't feel homemade. The tartar sauce comes in plastic packets and is fairly tasteless--I'd recommend adding some hot sauce to give it a kick. * Pro Tip: One friend had the catfish sandwich and really enjoyed it. Another had the catfish nuggets, which seemed a bit small if you aren't getting the full side spread, so I definitely recommend sticking with the Fillet Platter for the best value. Tip: If you're looking for a quick, easy-access lunch spot near Wentzville with surprisingly good fish, this is it. Just be prepared to "self-identify" the bourbon!
