When I ordered at the speaker I rodered two plates with one large Ice Tea unsweet. When I got to the window and paid and received the food and drink I moved the vehicle forward to parking art ea. I drink the unsweet tea in it. I got back in line and told the speaker guy about it and he lectured me on the tea had no sugar it in, but had artificial sweetner. Final straw reached. Went there to try it again after not having the best of luck... well, should have thought better. I got the Beijing Beef and Fried Rice and my wife got Firecracker Shrimp, Orange Chicken with Chow Mein. The Beef was WELL overcooked, as if it had been sitting for hours, the rice was not cooked enough. I went through the drive up and ordered the grilled teriyaki chicken with a side of rice and an order of cheese Rangoon. I'd skip the cheese Rangoon next time just because they "don't make 'em like they used to." I guess the quality control folks give the fat on the chicken a pass because it was definitely attached and can be a real gagger for some folks so just be aware of what you're shoving into your pie hole. Pleasant young lady at the order window named '"Shea" who deserves a big nod for her sweet, polite voice. Not only that, her diction was spot on. I get so used to drive up window mutterers and quick speakers - really annoying - almost robotic and downright difficult to understand. Shea was a breath of fresh air and I gave her a thumbs up when I spoke to her at the window. I enjoyed the grilled teriyaki chicken very much and the packets of teriyaki sauce were a nice add. Be sure to ask for some. I didn't know they had such a sauce - Shea asked if I would like some. It enhanced the flavor of the chicken and rice. I can't comment on the ambience bc I didn't go inside but from what I remember, they have a typical fast food restaurant set up. I wish Panda Express would cease inviting me to contribute to their worthy cause- $$ - only because I suspect corporate takes the credit for the contributions and uses it as a tax credit. I love Panda Express, the thing I love most is their chicken teriyaki. I live pretty far from this location but it's the closest one to me so this is the only one I go to. Each and every time I've been here they've been out of stock of the chicken teriyaki. I've been shortly after they open, around late lunch, early dinner, late dinner. 7 out of the 7 times I've been there over the course of 6 months the chicken has been out of stock. The only reason I go back is because the orange chicken is a decent substitute when I'm craving Chinese food. Manger needs to be fired. I was told I would have to wait 3 min for something to be made. 15 min later she walks out to ask about my order. I get it some times people mid hear so I was calm. Then I waited another 20 min and I walked in. She asks for my receipt so I give it to her. Then she makes the order wrong based on the receipt that she already came out and corrected. So I tell her calmly. Then she says oh that was you I said yes 20 mins ago you came and asked me! She said they sent it to me. When we stopped in not long after it opened a couple of years ago, the food was dried out, stale, and had clearly been prepared much earlier in the day. We vowed never to return and stuck to it for years. Then recently my son said he had been by and he had a positive experience. There aren't many quality establishments in Wentzville (or MO in general) so we gave it another shot. Though it was fresh this time, they had run out of various options. I would not say the food is of particularly good quality, even when fresh. Note: We did not go to Panda Express looking for healthy food in particular (fast food, right?) and it probably goes without saying, but the food here is not authentic Chinese. It is very much Americanized, wherein most of the choices are breaded, deep-fried, and smothered in sauce. This created long wait times for food once it was ordered because they had to make it still and had one person running dine in and drive thru...looks like they changed management recently and everything is way better. I went to this restaurant for the first time last night, it was 8:16 pm, went through the drive thru. We ordered 3 different entrees and an order of Crab Rangoon. The food was the worst! Spent $21.85 and it all went in the garbage disposal. One of the entrees was burnt tasting (I assume from a full day in the cafeteria type warmers). The others had a strange taste as if they had been mixed from scooping out of different treys all day. But the final insult was terrible tiny little Crab Rangoon that were in some strange kind of rice paper. The place is ALWAYS out of food, it is dirty all the time, and you never see the same staff there. I like PE, but not this particular location. It needs to be shut down for about a week while they clean and retrain management and staff. This is my third bad experience in a row at this store, so I thought I would share. I ordered online hoping to save some time. That's the point right? I went in to get my food at the designated time. I was ignored for a while then the cashier begrudgingly looked for my order. Literally, every single person in line inside and in the drive through was served before they even started making my food. For clarification, it would have been faster for me to stand in line or go through the drive through. So what's the point of online ordering again? I got my food 20 minutes after the pick-up time. It was "eh". It gets better - I thought I'd fill out the survey to tell them what a crummy experience I had - maybe corporate will spank this franchise a bit so they will straighten up. The survey code on the receipt was invalid (seriously?). The store number was invalid as well (2159)! Here's the gist - don't go here.
