I was getting on the highway because I had to head to work. I looked forward to eating my breakfast sandwich (it's a favorite of mine) but I could barely stomach it. A fairly small footprint, compared to sister stores. I made an early morning stop for one of my favorite go-to items: a bacon and spinach soufflé. Lately, they've been somewhat inconsistent on baking time and appearance - and tbh, I'm super picky about egg texture - but the one I grabbed today was a wonderfully balanced square of flaky pastry and perfectly done egg! I have been coming to this location for about 10 years now. From going to Panera early in the morning with my mum to now getting breakfast at least once a week or more. I have noticed they are getting stingy with the bacon, on a normal sandwich with bacon it is three pieces, but don't be fooled.... it's one piece cut in half and than an extra half. I get the same sandwich every single time and since about a year ago i've noticed they put less and less bacon every time and if you ask for extra you get two tiny extra pieces which actually makes it look like a normal proportional sandwich but u have to pay for extra bacon. This use to be my favorite place to go for breakfast but I've been having to go back every time to ask more than two pieces of bacon. If I wanted an egg sandwich i'd ask for it. So sad that this location isn't trying as hard as they use to. read more

I've had loads of Mediterranean bowls from this location (and others) but last night's was by far the best. Right mix of all ingredients including the Kalamata olives...thank you to the staff. So the Mediterranean veggie sandwich was a major letdown. It had about zero sauce that I requested. The bread was super dried out. It had minimal ingredients. I'm really disappointed. Also, here's a secret. Save some money by doing the regular Greek salad and adding chicken, rather than doing the chicken Greek salad. How dumb is that? The girl at th counter was very nice in telling me this. She was fantastic. Whoever handed me my latte was terrible. She was also apparently a manager.. she was just really rude. Always a great place to stop when in a rush but found that over the years unfortunately the recipes of their prepared foods that they heat up to serve us have gotten to be quite bland. Here is our drive thru experience from tonight 9/30/20 "Welcome to uh... *pause* um... Saint... Louis bread company..." First of all do you know where you work? Lol I then proceeded to place my order. Chicken frontera Panini w/ chips & a Pepsi and a green passion smoothie (this is for 2 people) They repeat is back incorrectly. So we correct them... and they say "oh okay got it" We get to the window, first they hand us a Diet Pepsi, so we correct them again... normal Pepsi please. ‍ Then we get this smoothie... for 4.99 I would expect the small size cup to be filled up completely. However there was almost 1/4 missing from the cup. This was going to be my meal for the evening and I was sadly disappointed. So we get home and my husband takes a sip of his "pepsi" and it is indeed Diet Pepsi. *sigh* *smh* ‍ Bread co please step it up. I went for begals and breakfast, this morning. A beautiful day. I also ordered espresso and coffee, along with a banana when I got there. They have really good bananas. The woman making by drink was super friendly and great. The woman that made my food was so sweet, and makes breakfast sandwiches like a boss! The spinach avocado on begal was sooo stinking good!! My experience is that food and bakery items are good. It's nothing special, but the quality is what you expect. We are semi-regular customers for the past several years. At this location though, you really need to eat in. We have found for pick up orders and the drive through, they will mess up our order about half the time. After constant frustration, we don't even consider those options. I don't know if it's lack of supervision, lack of training, deaf ears, or a "give a care" factor, the drive through and order pick up service leaves much to be desired. read more
