I needed a smog test and was running an errand so yelped a few local location. I called and asked how long was the wait and I hit the sweet spot with just one person finishing up. I asked how much it would cost. I drove over lickety split fast! He has a waiting area large enough for social distancing (still wearing my mask) and caught up on my games while waiting. He swiftly did my smog test and sent to to the DMV he charged me the phone quote! If you pay in cash it's a little less so ask about the card vs cash price. Very pleasant experience. read more

Brought in a little Toyota hatchback with a different muffler and the guys said that I didn't have the original catalytic converters when I did and they didn't want to smog it because it wasn't going to pass. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! It's run by an unscrupulous guy that will offer side deals and take your money!! I believe his name is Amir, very shady guy. I took my car for a smog and it passed, but he denied giving me the certificate because he said I had an aftermarket hose, a "visual issue." I explained that the hose was perfectly legal and could show him, he refused to listen and refused to research the hose. He then pulled me outside his shop away from the cameras and said that if I brought him the original part and paid him a side fee he would give me the certificate. I couldn't take my car to another shop and I needed to get my car smogged before the deadline so I had to accept his deal, as shady as it sounded. I returned to his shop a few weeks later with the OEM hose (it was on back order and cost $400 from the dealer) and presented it to him. He started to act like he didn't remember anything initially, then again he pulls me outside away from the cameras and starts asking me a bunch of other questions. I explain to him that I did exactly as he asked in order for my car to pass, except now he's demanding further payment and not keeping his word. I finally agree to give him more money just to get it over with and he glances around, sees other people looking at us, then throws his hands up and says he refuses to do anything further! He refused to keep his end of the deal after being paid. I left peacefully without causing a scene because I could see this was a very emotional guy prone to outbursts and not a very pleasant man to deal with. I've never had a shop do something like this and I learned my lesson on ever trying to save time by going to a place I'm unfamiliar with. STAY AWAY FROM LION SMOG AND CROOKED AMIR! read more

Came here to get a smog test over the weekend. I called about 15 minute before closing and he stayed for me! It was super last minute and he was more than accommodating. Amazing service, quick test, and fair price. 100% recommend. I called other smog places in the area obviously to price check and most places didn't even pick up the phone. So a few years ago I got my car done by Amir on a whim driving by. He used to be on the other side of the street. Drive by today and I couldn't find him, so I yelped something that would be close-of course Yelp recommended Lions Smog . I pulled in and guess who greets me? Amir!!! He just moved across the street. It was such a hot day-I just had a baby and waited until last minute because...well I was busy being a mom:) Amir had me stay in the car with my 4 year old and 3 month old while he did the smog check. He had to turn the AC off for a bit while the testing was being done, but let me tell you-I was so grateful not to have to drag my kids out in the heat and sit in a hot waiting room with loud noises all around.
