First of all, I'm in need of a Smog Check, I will be getting a good deal for $25 bucks on Groupon normally about $53 for a Smog Test! First thing, I called this place to how late they close to inform them that I was coming for a Smog Test but I let the guy know that I get off at 5pm. Since I verified that I would be there right after work, I thought I was good! First impression, this place DO NOT deserve a star! I arrived at this spot at 5:35pm, the other workers told me that they are located at the end (separate business) he told me they are Closed, the guy left already! Another guy told me that they get LAZY! read more

J.Dee Star Smog you have a gained a loyal customer! :) I drove all the way from mid city because they were by far the cheapest in LA! & Had very good reviews...And I was not disappointed. Jessie and Juan greeted me with a smile and kept me laughing the whole time all the while taking only about 15 mins! Fast, very affordable & Awesome customer service! Thanks again guys see you next Smog Test!!!! read more

This was by far the best smog check experience I've had. Very friendly, inexpensive, and fast. Almost thought terrible customer experience was to be expected from every cheap smog check until here. And seems like any other smog check location either doesn't do older cars, or will charge you an arm and a leg and fees on top of that! Was so relieved to find this place!! Well worth the drive Note, it's in the far end of the lot. You can pull up and let him know your there for whatever reason and he'll advise you. I called ahead of time and he told me the less busier time. read more

Came and got my man's smog test done with the special check in offer for the $35 smog special! The smog technician Jesus was great! Good conversation while I waited and great customer service! The overall wait wasn't long, maybe about 20 mins and I was done! Appreciate your great customer service and speedy service! And we passed our smog test! read more

This continues to be the best smog check experience for me. It is super quick. I am in and out in no time. I The owner is very nice and professional. I travel 16 miles from my home and pass dozens of smog check places; but it's always worth it. I take my other car as well and alternate each car every two years. J.Dee makes this unpleasant task easy. read more

Really fast and easy! The shop is located at the very back so you'll want to drive down to stall #6. The guy in charge was friendly enough, but it's definitely all business- no friendly chit chat. Cost was $40. I'm knocking off one star because no one was wearing face coverings or taking precautions in accordance with COVID regulations. Wash your hands after visiting. read more

Best smog experience ever! First off, this place is located on the eastern side of Vermont, just north of 83rd. They are Bay # 6 in the same lot as Tires R' Us. Just follow the signs for SMOG. Groupon led me to this location. I was disheartened to learn that the groupon I purchased was not for my vehicle. I thought I read the fine print, but I was in such a rush to do this before my DMV renewal date that I missed that minor detail. Even though I made a mistake the owner at the smog spot still gave me a great deal on a smog check. He was super awesome and assured me I'd be out in less than fifteen minutes. I went to the bathroom and when I came back he was done. It was so quick! Thank you for the amazing customer service. I would highly recommend this location if you're in need of a STAR Smog check for your DMV renewal. They're quick, fast, and gave me a great deal. No appointment necessary. I did a drop-in service. Thank you J Dee! read more

Best smog place EVER! Jessie is super nice and will get you the best deal in all of Los Angeles and OC. Only $40 for a smog check on newer vehicles (2000 and newer). Only $10 more if your vehicle is made between 1996-1999. BONUS: No hidden fees! I recommend this place to all of my friends and family, and I live out in OC. Also, the reviews prior are really misinformed. Groupon does state the year that the vehicles need to be, and the shop closes at 6 pm. I just wanted to clear these up because I hate for small hard working business' to be slandered for no apparent reason. This shop does honest work, and they deserve your business. read more

Let me start off by stating that I usually do not review something unless I truly think it's deserved and I must say this place DEFINITELY deserves a five star review! I have already started recommending it to friends & family and I just got back from getting my smog done. It was close to home , and upon arriving i was greeted very nicely & professionally. It was very fast, in about 10-15 minutes I was all set and ready to go. Everyone was so friendly and the ambiance was very welcoming!! I usually don't like going to auto shops alone because being a woman, I usually get hit on or the workers assume I don't know about cars so they try to sell me things I do not need but I didn't have to worry about neither one of those problems here and for that I wish I could rate it ten stars. I appreciate the friendliness and the consideration. I wasn't here for so long but good people definitely work here. THANK YOU SO MUCH. I will be returning here whenever I need anything done or a smog check. The bad reviews are haters! I have NO complaints. read more

Very unprofessional establishment. First off the staff aren't even certified or license to smog your vehicle. Jesus the main guy started the job but let rookies finish the job. My car had codes popping up so it was a chance it would fail which he explained. Long story short my car passed and he said the total was $120 because of the codes but on the recipes it clearly states $40. He blew up when I asked why is he charging me $120 so he went into his office and said just leave and threatened to replug the car to fail smog. So I told him just do that, he said no just leave he didn't want my money! As I was leaving the other guy said just give him the $40 I stated if the other guy Jesus wasn't going to take my money why would I give it to someone with no license to smog cars. It's one way in and one way out basically a death trap. Jesus said Merry Christmas u just got a early gift. I told him I'll give him the $40 but he didn't want it. This experience was so petty, he didn't even want to resolve the issue. I do not do business with the unprofessional. Karma will come to all of them! FYI to them please smoke weed on your personal time. read more

I originally found this business using a coupon, but my experience was so good I came back several months later with my daughter's first car and had it tested. Get this, Jessie remembered me. You may be thinking, it's just a smog check, but I like doing business with people I like and who treat me well. I like to support small business owners who value client relations because I am in that business as well. I will tell all of my friends to go the extra mile and support this company. read more

I replied thats not anywhere on the fine print. i walked away but returned right away to ask for a $40 charge and not a $50 with no success short story they wont take the groupon for cars older than a year 2000 bargaining a price is not an option read more
