Easily a 5 star buffet. I went here yesterday (Monday) for lunch about 1:30 or so. I was greeted as I entered, paid just over $10 for lunch with a water and was seated at a table. The first trip I made was to the grill and sushi. The grill was out of noodles, but the veggies and meat I chose were done very nicely and the guy working was extremely nice. In fact everybody who worked there was really nice. The sushi was pretty good as well, with nice large rolls including a couple with raw fish. They were kept the correct temperature and was being monitored and replenished by the sushi chef. All the food that I had from the buffet was pretty good...nothing struck me as off or bad.... Of course it wouldn't be a Chinese buffet in the Valley if they didn't have some sort of tacos/ tamales/ enchiladas here... which they had enchiladas that were okay. Some of the best dishes in my opinion were the cheese wonton which was not too crunchy like most places.... the baby octopus was very tender and not overly chewy like most buffets, the baked salmon was amazing, and for desert I enjoyed hte powdered donut holes as well as a slice of chocolate chip chocolate cake with some vanilla soft serve. I Yelped this restaurant while we were in search of Chinese while visiting Phoenix. The stars were high enough for my comfort level and I was not disappointed! The lunch buffet price is reasonable and the variety of food is HUGE. My kiddo was entertained by the "baby octopus" option on the buffet. Typical American/Chinese fare, with some Southwest additions. I think I ate more of the Mexican food available than the Chinese. Try the enchiladas! read more

Lots of choices, but cold food. It cost me almost $17.00 for lunch with a drink. Not really worth it. For that price I can get a good ( HOT) steak dinner. The building is big, Lot's of seating, but many of the booths NEED new seats. Ripped/ torn very worn. Other than that the place looked clean. There was a big variety of food choices, including sushi. And the food tasted pretty good. The problem I had was that the food was cold. The serving temperature was too low. I don't think the heating pans were working very well. Not my favorite buffett. Sushi was bland and not many choices. Steak was overcooked (I told him medium rare and it was almost well done). Mongolian grill was good. The rest of the choices are your normal selection. It was quite busy, which in a buffett is a very good thing (food gets changed out faster). You do pay before you go even sit down, so be aware. I was brought here by acquaintances I was visiting & they love this place so I had very high expectations...it was alright. Not crazy impressed but at least I didn't end with food poisoning. The corn on the cob was extremely over cooked, the soda refill by your server could easily be replaced by just putting a dispenser, don't know why they haven't don that since I believe the food comes with the soda refills (my party didn't let me pay so I'm unsure). But I'll always suggest buffets to people that have picky eaters in their party. So no stressing over a specific cuisine. I was grateful for their salad bar though ;) read more

The steak is cheap steak and had so much tendon. Servers that serve drinks and refill are really great, but the food preparation people are not up to par. A woman that was wiping and replacing food was yelling around at people, and someone dropped a serving tong and she picked it up off the ground and slammed it back up on the line of hot food while yelling. I didn't stay around as we left immediately after, but I'm not sure if she left it there or if she took the tongs back to get cleansed. Granted COVID-19 is to blame, you have to eat off paper plates and use disposable cups to drink. Secondly, you have to wait for a server to fill your plates (like a cafeteria). You wait to get inside to pay. Then you wait for your food. A lot of waiting! Red Wok buffet on Thomas gets you right in the door, let's you get your own food, and the price is a few dollars cheaper. Better food and more variety as well. And you get real plates and real utensils! Red Wok next time, for sure!!! read more

Zero stars!!! Don't not eat here!!! I wouldn't eat here if it was free... Inconsistent taste, chicken had a string on it, green jello taste like mouth wash, salty, was afraid to try anything else after my first plate thinking fruits and jello wouldn't be as bad but still just as BAD,, 70$ for 2 adults and 2 children-felt like my money was wasted here. Today we came to buffet. Food was not too bad. Our waitress was fine with service. Then it happened!! She dropped plastic container of hot red sauce onto the floor, as it dropped it splashed all over the floor and to my shoes( just bought yesterday day ) Cole Han and my golf shorts and my legs and thighs. Accidents do happened in the restaurants. I understand. We called manager and he told us owner is in Texas and they are offering gift certificates for us . I said we want my shoes and clothes to cleaned or replaced, which means it needs to dry cleaned. They refused. So I said how would you feel if you have sauce poured onto you and he said if that would make you feel better, of course I said I am willing to pour the sauce for my inconvenience.. he mutterd and not gotten back to me...its all about taking care of customer. A very nice looking place and outstandingly well kept. Food was mostly what you'd expect. The salt & Pepper shrimp are tiny, looked awful, are tasted just about as much. He chicken skewers and sushi were nothing to write home about either. I was disappointed since these are two Of my favorites. Surprisingly--and I know this is probably not what you came for, but maybe you should--the ribs and buffalo wings were delicious! Overall three stars. OH snap! Reminds me of chinese restaurants back in my home in New York. There is no sterile smell that most buffets have. Great selection of all your favorite Chinese (not really Chinese food) Food is freshly made. Staff is polite. And the booths are clean and comfortable. There is a line of course, because the food is really that good! Someone suggested it and I was like not really. Cuz phoenix Chinese food sucks. Our 5 yr old granddaughter graduated from preschool tonight. When I asked her where she would like to go to dinner she said "Lin's Nana" we really like the food so I was delighted she asked to go there!!! The waiters are very nice and never leave our beverages empty for long and clear the used dishes in a timely manner. The Buffet is well stocked frequently. They also have an excellent choice of fruit. The only thing I would suggest is milk and juice for the kids. read more

The system to pay is to complicated you have to pay for the ticket and then show them a specific ticket that you paid for. Couple of the people at the front are not friendly, and I'm sorry but what is a buffet without fountain drinks there is no fountain and you have to pay extra for sofa. They make it hard to enjoy a buffet when they don't refill your drinks. Besides that the food is good! read more

I love Lin's! Last time, about 2 weeks ago, it was exceptionally good. Normally, I don't care for the Orange chicken, Kung poi chicken, or a lot of the Chinese chicken dishes, because they are usually dry and hard. But this night everything was juicy and tender. Maybe they finally made it right? But, I love love their roasted ribs!! Tender and juicy and so flavorful!! And their Sushi is sooo good and well made and they have a lot to choose from. Everything this time and the time before was just delicious!! The only complaint I ever have is the food isn't hot enough. Especially the noodles. By the time I get to the table, they are cold. That part makes me not like Buffets and several other people I know say the same thing. Change that and Lin's would be perfect! read more

since 2017 *(nye) ive prob been here over a hundred times. its the best; it surpasses (and has replaced) my desire for cheap chinese food in the valley. beyond a very stylized, expensive and legit restaurant making perhaps szichuan and or cantonese custom tailored and usually pricey... well lins is better than every moderate to mom/pop place in valley, imo. for americanized chinese food, and for the price of dinner it cant be beat. i love it immensely, and the staff is also awesome read more

This place is awesome! Took my family on a busy Saturday night and the food was amazing. All the kids, from my 15 year old to my 9 year old pointed out things they liked the best. The food was fresh and the atmosphere was good. The server could have been more attentive to our table but it is a Chinese Buffet so I won't fault them on that. Everything for the most part is fresh unfortunately environment sometimes is a little bit dirty the floors have food on them. My wife had not been to a Chinese Buffet in years and her wish for mothers day was to find the best possible place in Phoenix, Az. We live in Prescott Valley and our Chinese food restaurants/buffets are very limited. We arrived at 11:00am their opening time and there was a line inside and out. I thought wow, this must be a great place. The quantity of food was there. Our server was excellent. I remembered why I don't frequent these places often because of the overeaters. I will say the so called sushi was terrible. I ordered a hot tea and it normally comes with a little kettle and hot water. Not this one. Just Luke warm water. I didn't get a lot of flavor from the food. A little bland even on the kung pow. Needless to say, it will be another year before I try another buffet. read more

It was extremely packed and loud. Food is subpar at best. Im okay with it but my boyfriend absolutely hated everything he tried. The janky buffet in town was way better. They wouldnt accept my medical card from my surgeon that says to charge me child price due to me not being able to eat more than 4oz. It just a very bland buffet. I wouldnt come here again at all. I paid my fee to get in and was asked to stand on the side and wait to be seated by a bus girl, so I stand and wait and I see some bus girl approaching me, I say "hi how is it going?" And the girl grabes a fork but no knife and just nods her head to follow her ...tf? I guarantee you that if I was in need of a job and I applied here I will end up taking both of those females job. There are just up in the front for being pretty,I rather have an ugly girl or a guy attend me who will do an awesome job vs a stuck up young pretty female who will do a horrible job. The only reason I am giving this place a 2 star instead of 1 is because the other bus girl who kept picking up my plates and refilling my drink was actually very kind. I've been here once before and decided to try again. The place is busy and the selection of food is your typical Chinese buffet restaurant. Nothing really stood out as good except for steak on the weekend. It has sushi but it is very basic and nothing special. They have a decent variety of junk food and your typical Chinese dishes that everyone has. Nothing is going to bring me back in a hurry but I wouldn't be against stopping by another time if in the mood for some average Chinese food. The service was fast and the server friendly.
