We dined inside of Lin's and I'm not going to lie, it's an odd setup. I'm under the impression it is more of a carry out place than a dine-in place. There was no AC (on a 98 degree day) and very few tables and I'm not sure they have a public restroom. However! We were impressed with the speed and freshness of our food. My bf swears it is best to dine in because the deep fried sushi rolls are fresh. The food was literally still sizzling when it hit the table. The hibachi shrimp and veggies were great. Fried rice was a bit disappointing... no seasoning really. My daughter liked the beef lo mein. The crab rangoon and gyoza were tasty, as well. Let me start off by saying, I'm from SoCal where there's a bunch of Chinese food spots. I was looking for something similar out here in Indiana and I stumbled across this place on yelp. The food was made in a timely manner, easy pickup. Everything was packaged well & secure. The food, was really good! Shrimp fried rice was delicious, lo mein was pretty good, and the orange chicken was decent. First off, the seaweed salad was my favorite. The portion is perfect for the price and it has cucumbers. Most times there's only seaweed of it doesn't read " seaweed and salad" on the menu. So finding the perfectly cut pieces underneath the seaweed was delightful. Although the crab was imitation, the Evansville roll was tasty. I'm not a fan of imitation crab, but this roll had a mesh of delicious flavors and again, the cuts were the star. It didn't have a bunch of chunks. This is a take-out setup, but the to-go containers provided a great plating presentation. The wait was short and the price was familiar. I would eat here again. I even got an extra egg roll with my meal. It looks like they are doing primarily takeout orders now but they have a quick system to get your food to you. I got crab rangoons, the fancy tuna roll, and salmon sashimi. The rangoons were THE BEST I've had anywhere in the area. They have actual crab pieces in them which is somehow hard to come by when it comes to rangoons. Gooey and chewy in the center and nice and crispy on the edges, they were amazing. The sushi roll was wonderful. Full of flavor in every bite. The sashimi surprised me with just how thickly cut they were! The workers are very nice people, definitely deserve a tip. We didn't have a great experience and it was a terrible way to end a birthday celebration. We had one shrimp and scallop hibachi and one steak and shrimp hibachi, one California roll and an order of crab Rangoon. The shrimp and chicken were tasty, the salads were a joke. The salads were huge pieces of lettuce with a tiny bit of shredded carrots on top. The soup was cold, the crab Rangoon was very cold, the hibachi vegetables are not hibachi vegetable. They laid in the box and were in some kind of sauce/ liquid and we're soggy as soggy could be. The crab Rangoon were so cold they were gross. We tried to warm them in our toaster oven but, the grease in them began to puddle in the shell. Since you can't dine inside, it's just a mess of food to deal with. our kitchen looked messier than it has after cooking a huge family meal. We lived and learned. Next time, we want a hibachi dinner, we'll go to a real hibachi restaurant. Besides the vegetables being a floppy, soggy, sloppy mess the onion was a big quarter chunk of onion. The steak was chewy and flavorless. Sure, it's a lot of food but, quality is what counts. No more Lin's Asian Express in our home. Cali roll, general Tsos chicken (I like spicy and it definitely could have been spicier but my kids liked it, it was very good. I've been several times for lunch, and while the food is pretty standard, it's always fresh fast and the staff is friendly. I met a friend for lunch here and when I got my shrimp it was over cooked and rubbery. When I told them about it (not being rude I've worked as a server before). The lady got mad and tried to argue with me and say that's how the shrimp is supposed to be! The service is always fast and they try to take care of the customer, bringing refills and closing the bill quickly. they do have lunch specials and serve a small selection of beer. The place isn't fancy and doesn't have a lot of seating. They set a group of 6 for us but we barely fit.
