Warning: long -- but that's because I'm passionate about modding cars, and if you're here, you…read moreshould be, too. The short: TL;DR blah^3 ... Sean and his shop, Custom Functionz, rock and really know their stuff. I highly endorse them. The long: Custom Functionz. Wow, these guys are good. Great attitude, and know their stuff. You've probably seen their incredible talents on their hydrodipping and powdercoating, but they do more than that. Owned by Sean Pierce, his team really puts in the effort to make things right. I initially met Sean a car show (1st place Best KDM! :-) ). They had a display, and I was checking out their builds and really admiring them. Sean approached me, complimented my car, and saying he's seen it around. Even more surprising is he remembers my call from a year prior when I just asked questions. Wow! Anyway, I told him I think I have a leak in my air suspension setup, and that I have a few concerns, like some sounds coming from my coilovers. He invited me to his shop any time. Since I was out of the country, got quite busy when I returned, fast forward about 2 months later, and I finally stopped into his shop. (Had to tell the bossman I'm "working from home", and Sean let me use his wireless so I could connect to the office!) So call me queer, but I don't generally like going to shops, because a lot of them seem to think they're rappers, have their douchebag groupies hanging around, and I generally just don't feel comfortable. Not here; they were quite welcoming. My reason for going was for a leak. I can fix it, but I used that as an excuse to visit their shop to see if they could give me some ideas. As soon as I popped the trunk, Sean starts going on & on & on of what he can do to improve it, some ideas he can do, and more. ***THIS*** is what I wanted! I went there just for a quote, but hey, I'm connected to the office, and I'm all the way out there, so let's just do it. When my car is in the air, and he and his shop are inspecting my car, they find other things that could be polished up. They asked, and I concurred so they began working. Unfortunately, while they were working on my car, they found a couple more unexpected things so I agreed to fix those as well. Before I left, I heard the tiniest noise. I wasn't even going to mention it, but I know I would kick myself for not doing it later. Many shops would have been done, but no, he worked and worked and worked on it until that little sound was eliminated. He kept telling me how he won't let me leave until the job is 1.) safe and 2.) to 100% of my satisfaction. They went so far above and beyond my expectation. He knew I was coming, and he said he would squeeze me in. What we thought would be 1-2 hours turned into 7 (seven) hours. Their shop closes at 6:30, but my car wasn't finished until way past that. And he had to work on the other vehicles as well, so he left after 9PM. Unfortunately, part of the discovery they made is my bags were rubbing so I ordered some more they can replace them. The brackets that were holding them in place were rusted to something that you'd see on the sunken Titanic. When the parts came in, they sandblasted the brackets - and even the screws & other hardware (that attention to detail!!!) - and cerakoted everything to prevent rust. With tools, they milled down the part of the car where the bags were rubbing and then painted them so there's no exposed metal. Other things they did was redo my trunk setup like relocating the water trap to the specs that Air Lift recommend with their builds, redid the platform where everything sits by giving it a velvet "pillow" for everything to sit on, and then relocated cables while covering them in wire loom to give it a cleaner look. They did several more things to polish up the setup I had in there, so to me, I can see they genuinely know what they're doing. Custom Functionz. These guys rock. They're quite passionate about they do, friendly people, and professional. I just wish they were located a lot closer to me. Reading this, you're probably wondering why I did not let them to my initial install. Back then, there was no kit available for my car, and everything was 100% custom and made for my car, so I wanted someone with lots of experience. CF didn't have as much experience as much experience back then, but by now, I believe they have the most notches under their belt in the area, and what I really like about them is they don't just install cookie-cutter builds you normally see. Each & every build they do is 100% custom, and no 2 builds are alike. Because of this, companies like Air Lift Performance, what I have in my car, have now made them a licensed installer and distributor of their products. I wanted to be the "1st kid on the block" to have a bagged Optima. Now I wish I would have waited.

Firstly, Tyrone Crossland, May God punish you, your career, life and business. May you fail at all your hands touch from this day moving forward. May you leak money & joy and your hopes be dashed as you dashed mine. May your life be as painful as the pain you have caused me, and as pointless as bringing my car to you was. May you go out of business in the nearest future. May you encounter a customer who will drag you to the depths of bankruptcy and beyond. May God cripple your business as you crippled my movements, whilst my car was in your hands. Each day will bring you suffering and pain in 100 fold the measure of pain you caused me. May you suffer irrevocable spiritual damage, from this day forward and forever more.I regret that I share the same pigmentation as you and you are the kind of person who gives our kind a bad name, with your irresponsibility and your laziness and your lies. This man is a pathological & compulsive liar, who lies, knows that YOU-KNOW he's lying, yet continues lying in your face, with an expressionless look on his. Most of the pics are not even his handiwork. He kept my Camaro for 3weeks starting in January, telling me every other day that he'd be done in 2-days and when I call him in 2days,  he'd refuse to respond. He moved my pick up date 11 times...yes 11 TIMES!  I have photo and email evidence of all. Each time he moved those dates, he'd tell me my car would to be ready in 2 days, when that day came, he'd move it again, stating that he just had to finish the bumper (He was always finishing the bumper). I asked him few times to send me progress pics especially because he initially suggested it. He never sent one and stopped responding when I asked. The third week he calls me on a Tuesday, stating he has completed my car and would definitely have my car ready for me on Thursday, with an extra free caliper paint job as well because " I had been so patient". Then on Thursday, he refused to pick up his phone when I called him. He refused to return any texts until I texted him that my brother was dropping me off.... then came the furious texts, (and a call) asking me not to come with my brother and to hold off on coming because he had a lot of paperwork for me to sign. So I asked him to leave the keys with his workers (He had boasted several times to me that he has a lot of workers helping him). Then he said the front and rear bumpers were not attached yet.  He asked me NOT to bring my brother along with me.  He said he'd come pick me up on Friday to come get my car. I asked him if he had a picture of the completed work. 6 hours later he sends me a picture of the rear bumper with a tiny section of my car wrapped....... He had only done the work that day. On Friday when I called to confirm him picking me up as he promised verbally and in writing, he refused to respond to me in a timely fashion. My brother called him, and he told my brother he had promised to pick me up and asked why I had gotten someone else involved.   I set out to get my car anyway and did not alert him until I got there. He was not at his shop. (whilst I was on my way there he had texted me to say he had not attached the bumper because he got into an accident). When I got to his shop, and after threatening him with police action due to thievery, he showed up, opened up his garage door and lo and behold was my car with with the bumper on and just one tiny side of my car done. He told me it was completed just that morning. Then 5 mins into my getting there, I began to record our conversations and this lying creature had the audacity to tell me that whilst I was standing there, with my brother as witness, he had affixed the bumper back on........... I was standing right there. My brother was standing right there. That is sickness. He needs a mental hospital asap. He is lazy. He has a very ridiculous and irrational temper. He is Erratic.  His communication skills are seriously lacking. He also was not in an accident. I Paid him what he asked in full. He owes me money now.

The reason being, if…read moreI'm writing a negative review, it means I've been on the receiving end of truly awful service. I strive to be fair and gracious when offering constructive criticism; I understand that's what readers expect. So here we go: as it relates to Nationwide Dent Repair, I'm seeking reparations for the "dent" that was inflicted on my bank account by NDR. I scheduled an appointment to have minor hood damage repaired on my vehicle. After reviewing the damage (small scratches, chips, and a small, shallow dent) with the female associate, she assured me the repairs could be completed without issue. My primary concern was the scratches (see photos). She up-sold me on a full hood repair for $400, and I provided the factory touch-up paint before taking an Uber home. When I picked up the vehicle, the first thing I noticed was how dusty the car appeared. Upon further inspection, the dust was the least of my concerns. Not only did they fail to address my primary concern (the scratches), but they also didn't complete any of the additional work I was charged for. It was a complete waste of time, money, and effort. My first mistake was not thoroughly researching the company beforehand. Now I see they're comfortably swimming in the 1-star Yelp pool. I've written too much for a service provider that cares too little. Recommendation level: Hell NO!

After we agreed on the price and scheduled the appointment, I dropped my truck off at 9:00 AM. The technician didn't even begin looking at the vehicle until after 12:00 PM. While the work was being done, I received a call saying they needed an additional $125 to buff the scratches -- even though polishing the scratches was already included in the original estimate. After speaking with the owner (Danny), I was told their estimator "made a mistake" and that they had fixed a second dent "for free." He refused to honor the agreed price and even implied he could put the dent back in if I wasn't satisfied with the new charge. To make matters worse, he claimed the scratches were never included in the original agreement and essentially accused me of lying. There is surveillance footage outside the building where we discussed the repair and pricing, but when I asked him to review it, he hesitated and said he couldn't go back and check. Changing the agreed price after the customer commits to the work is unacceptable. Professional businesses stand by their estimates. This experience felt unprofessional and dishonest, and I would not recommend using them.
