Saved Me from a Costly Mistake -- Highly Recommend! I live out of state and was considering purchasing a 2021 Ford F-450 from a , so I hired Martin's Auto Tech to perform a pre-sales inspection. Their thorough and honest evaluation uncovered a long list of mechanical and cosmetic issues that the dealership failed to disclose -- and ultimately saved me from buying a ticking time bomb. They found replaced front fenders, bumper, and hood with overspray and missed paint areas, missing mud flaps, wheel center caps, and antenna, a broken mirror, and brake pads barely passing at 4/32. Even more concerning were leaking front axle seals, an upper oil pan leak with residue on the lower pan (which requires the engine to be pulled to repair), and two open recalls that hadn't been addressed. Their attention to detail and clear communication gave me peace of mind and likely saved me thousands in future repairs. Best auto shop I've ever dealt with. I've brought my car in twice, and both times they exceeded my expectations. Very female-friendly (shoutout to Jenna, the service writer) and they have shop dogs! Prices are so fair I almost feel bad paying them so little. The first time was to address an issue with my brakes. Two different shops had failed to diagnose the problem correctly. Martin's figured out a previous shop had installed my brake pads backwards and corrected the problem. The second was for what turned out to be a bad body control module. Since the module has to be reprogrammed by the dealer, they recommended I have the whole job done at the dealership. This cost them money, because they could have replaced the module and then left me to deal with getting it reprogrammed, but since it would be easier for me to get the whole job done at the dealership, that's what they recommended. I'll never go to another auto repair shop in Saint Mary's county! Very professional, accurate diagnosis and very affordable. I brought my vehicle in for some repairs on a Wednesday and they told me it would be done by Friday. I worked for a job which required 45,000 miles of driving per year and I needed the car for Saturday. They stayed late (6:45pm) just to get the car back to me. I don't believe any other shop would stay late especially on a Friday evening. read more

I've used Martin's several times over the last two years. They're honest and their prices are fair. Jenna runs the front office and she is super knowledgeable about cars and will understand how to communicate your issue to the mechanics. Jeff owns the place (I think) and he's kept my old Honda going with major and minor repairs. Their follow-up after the job is done is without compare. You'll get an email asking how the car is doing. Never have I had a shop email me and ask me if everything is okay! They go above and beyond. If you're in the area, call them. You won't regret it. Jeff, Jenn and their team are first rate! Absolutely honest. They and their team are incredibly proficient technically. Communicative, transparent... they'll tell you what's REALLY wrong with your vehicle, whether it needs to be repaired NOW or maybe a couple of years down the road and how much it is likely to cost. I wouldn't consider taking any of our three vehicles to anybody else in Southern Maryland or, frankly, elsewhere. I'm a pretty hard customer and don't give out kudos easily but I have no problem whatsoever giving them five stars out of five. Full disclosure - I have no (ZERO) relationship with them other than having gone to their shop to get inspections on our vehicles after moving to Maryland from Virginia in 2016. This is my new go-to place to have work done that I can't DIY. I've tried 4Ts, Agape, and Winegardner but they were all incredibly overpriced for poor service. Winegardner (the dealer) definitely gave me the best diagnosis of my Chevrolet but I took it to Martins to get some work done and I'm happy I did that. It's a great little shop and they were able to provide me same-day turnaround and excellent customer service all for the best price in town. After a very unimpressive attempt to have my check engine light remedied at the local GM dealership (you can probably guess which one), Jeff was able to diagnose the issue and have it repaired in a matter of minutes. I recently bought a 2004 Subaru Outback and wanted another opinion whether the car was as good as the seller convinced me it was. The only thing I noticed was a slight rattling noise during heavy acceleration.
