Saved Me from a Costly Mistake -- Highly Recommend! I live out of state and was considering purchasing a 2021 Ford F-450 from a , so I hired Martin's Auto Tech to perform a pre-sales inspection. Their thorough and honest evaluation uncovered a long list of mechanical and cosmetic issues that the dealership failed to disclose -- and ultimately saved me from buying a ticking time bomb. They found replaced front fenders, bumper, and hood with overspray and missed paint areas, missing mud flaps, wheel center caps, and antenna, a broken mirror, and brake pads barely passing at 4/32. Even more concerning were leaking front axle seals, an upper oil pan leak with residue on the lower pan (which requires the engine to be pulled to repair), and two open recalls that hadn't been addressed. Their attention to detail and clear communication gave me peace of mind and likely saved me thousands in future repairs. If you're buying a vehicle -- especially remotely -- I highly recommend Martin's Auto Tech . Their integrity and expertise are second to none. read more

Tried to get a safety inspection here once and got completely screwed over! Mechanics don't know what they are doing and it is clear that this business will just take your money and run read more

Best auto shop I've ever dealt with. I've brought my car in twice, and both times they exceeded my expectations. Very female-friendly (shoutout to Jenna, the service writer) and they have shop dogs! Prices are so fair I almost feel bad paying them so little. The first time was to address an issue with my brakes. Two different shops had failed to diagnose the problem correctly. Martin's figured out a previous shop had installed my brake pads backwards and corrected the problem. The second was for what turned out to be a bad body control module. Since the module has to be reprogrammed by the dealer, they recommended I have the whole job done at the dealership. This cost them money, because they could have replaced the module and then left me to deal with getting it reprogrammed, but since it would be easier for me to get the whole job done at the dealership, that's what they recommended. Wish I could give them six stars. Did I mention the dogs? read more

Martins Auto Tech did a great job servicing my RV. They fit me in, did a great job for a fair price and their quality of workmanship was awesome read more

Have brought my wife's Mazda here the past several years for routine maintenance. I have been very pleased with the quality and efficiency of the work performed. Scheduling is easy and communication has been good. I would recommend their services if in the market. read more

Martin's Auto Tech replaced the engine in my 2013 Ram 1500 with a 5.7 Hemi. With the cost of vehicles, especially trucks, I was looking for an alternative to save some money. The staff was great to work with and found a solution that prolonged the life and value of my truck. The Jasper engine replacement came with a great warranty and peace of mind. I would recommend this business to anyone looking for reliable auto repair and maintenance. read more

I'll never go to another auto repair shop in Saint Mary's county! Very professional, accurate diagnosis and very affordable. I brought my vehicle in for some repairs on a Wednesday and they told me it would be done by Friday. I worked for a job which required 45,000 miles of driving per year and I needed the car for Saturday. They stayed late (6:45pm) just to get the car back to me. I don't believe any other shop would stay late especially on a Friday evening. read more

Knowledgeable and helpful without the hard upselling you get at pretty much ALL other shops. I won't take my vehicles anywhere else.

I've used Martin's several times over the last two years. They're honest and their prices are fair. Jenna runs the front office and she is super knowledgeable about cars and will understand how to communicate your issue to the mechanics. Jeff owns the place (I think) and he's kept my old Honda going with major and minor repairs. Their follow-up after the job is done is without compare. You'll get an email asking how the car is doing. Never have I had a shop email me and ask me if everything is okay! They go above and beyond. If you're in the area, call them. You won't regret it. Honest mechanics are worth their weight in gold. read more

Jeff, Jenn and their team are first rate! Absolutely honest. They and their team are incredibly proficient technically. Communicative, transparent... they'll tell you what's REALLY wrong with your vehicle, whether it needs to be repaired NOW or maybe a couple of years down the road and how much it is likely to cost. I wouldn't consider taking any of our three vehicles to anybody else in Southern Maryland or, frankly, elsewhere. I'm a pretty hard customer and don't give out kudos easily but I have no problem whatsoever giving them five stars out of five. Full disclosure - I have no (ZERO) relationship with them other than having gone to their shop to get inspections on our vehicles after moving to Maryland from Virginia in 2016. I've been a solid, steady customer ever since. read more

They hit another home run! I had a unique problem with my driver side door and thought I would have to go to a body shop to fix. They mentioned they had a solution i've never heard of. In less than 30 minutes they fixed my problem I've lived with for the past three years. Another stellar job and I'll keep going back! read more

This is my new go-to place to have work done that I can't DIY. I've tried 4Ts, Agape, and Winegardner but they were all incredibly overpriced for poor service. Winegardner (the dealer) definitely gave me the best diagnosis of my Chevrolet but I took it to Martins to get some work done and I'm happy I did that. It's a great little shop and they were able to provide me same-day turnaround and excellent customer service all for the best price in town. For the most part, I'm a DIY guy but when I can't fix it myself, Martins is where I'll be taking it. read more

Brought my 21 year old Lexus to them with a poor maintenance history and they fixed it several times while waiting. Not only a very knowledgeable staff and technicians but also very friendly. I love to go there. read more

I've had several of my vehicles serviced at Martins Auto Tech and they've always been very fair on pricing and have always completed all work in a timely fashion. The staff is also knowledgeable in answering my questions about my vehicles. read more

Jeff and his team at Martin's Auto Tech are outstanding! If I could give him a 10-star rating, I would!! After a very unimpressive attempt to have my check engine light remedied at the local GM dealership (you can probably guess which one), Jeff was able to diagnose the issue and have it repaired in a matter of minutes. If you're looking for an honest mechanic at a fair price that stands behind his work, bring your car to Martin's Auto Tech. Jeff's replaced the transmission in my 2010 Chevy Equinox and performed a 4-speed conversion on my 1972 Chevelle. I'll never take my car to the dealership again...thanks so much, Jeff! read more

Martin's Auto Tech is a stellar example of how auto repair shops should be. Finding a shop that gives accurate and honest recommendations is a rarity and Martin's is a gem. I've brought several vehicles there and they always do an excellent job. They've even pressed a wheel bearing out of a hub for me when I thought I could do the job myself... (That could've been ugly). Recently had my A/C serviced and received a follow-up text message by Jeff, the owner, to see how everything was working. The service here is unmatched and they offer fair prices. read more

I recently bought a 2004 Subaru Outback and wanted another opinion whether the car was as good as the seller convinced me it was. The only thing I noticed was a slight rattling noise during heavy acceleration. Jeff came out to take the car for a test drive and as we rode around Jeff quickly recognized the rattle I was content to ignore was a failing cam lifter. Jeff and I have a long history together so I knew I wasn't being BS'd and needed to schedule a repair appointment. A few days later the repair was made, the rattle was gone, and Jeff showed me the actual failed part and where the failure was happening. When you find an honest mechanic shop where Jeff and his team know their stuff, and care for their customers, it's easy to write a review (like this one) telling strangers they'll be taken care of at Martin's AutoTech. read more
