I like this place. they can do basic maintenance, or replace your engine. YMMV. This is my go to place for oil changes and the like. They can replace tires too, like they have for me at a competitive price. Still cheaper than a dealer. I did find a better price for a transmission rebuild at another location, but I am confident Four Ts could do it. Came in after getting my tires rotated and it sounded like maybe a wheel bearing was loose. They got me in very quickly and checked out my car in less than two hours. They said that the wheel bearings seem good and that after a tire rotation it may sound different while driving. They also offered a free test drive with the technician to make sure we were hearing the same noise. Turns out there's no issue and I didn't have to pay for anything. I appreciate the honestly and professionalism of the workers here and the inside of the building has a nice waiting area and little coffee setup. Highly recommend! read more

My husband and I have appreciated, trusted and relied upon Four T's for about 7 years, so what a disappointment when their two otherwise wonderful customer service reps greeted us without face masks, telling me "we don't wear them because the manager doesn't require it." The manager (who is also otherwise wonderful) came out at my request to confirm that they do not wear masks at Four T's (despite this being a MD state mandate at this point), and then both he and his customer service rep chose to debate and argue with me about the effectiveness of masks instead of simply putting on a mask out of courtesy for their customer, who was asking nothing more than is required by MD state law at this time. The other customer service rep did finally put on a mask when I said it would be necessary if they wanted my husband to step up to the counter and pay them. We are very saddened and disappointed at this disregard for the health of customers, and their adamant refusal to do something so simple as put on a mask while you have customers in the room - or even just when a customer asks you to! We will sadly now seek another auto mechanic who will not turn this basic health precaution into a debate where the customer loses by risking their health. By the way, I have now reported you guys to the State Health Dept. so you might want to consider putting your masks on before they come calling. Just a heads-up that might save a life. read more

Competitive pricing, patient front desk customer support, and great work is what I experienced when I brought my 2008 Mercedes C300 in for routine service (including an Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) change). My car required Service B annual maintenance (glorified Mercedes oil change with various inspections) and an ATF change. I contacted the dealership & was quoted $1,200 for the services listed above. Realizing the "stealership" was probably charging me premium, I contacted Four T's garage based off of Yelp reviews hoping they could come in underneath the dealer. The quote I got was $700; I.e., $500 cheaper than Mercedes. Within a week they ordered all the OEM parts from Mercedes and I had my car serviced. That $700 quote included parts, labor, and them draining my Torque Converter (TC) when completing the ATF. Mercedes quote didn't include draining the TC - I'm sure that would have been an additional $100 in labor. Special shoutout to Tommy & Steven. Steven was patient with me when probing him with questions. As an engineer, I probably drove him a bit crazy with all the questions. Tommy was the gentlemen who approved draining the TC which was important to me for this service. Overall, I am pleased with the service I received and will be a returning customer for all 3 of my vehicles. read more

Wonderful shop! I started taking my car here (5 years ago) after being disappointed and over charged by a dealership too many times. 4 T's goes out of the way to provide outstanding service. They will take the time to explain (in detail if that's what you want) what's wrong with your car and what their proposed fix is. They'll provide options and cost estimates for all of their repairs (for example- OEM vs aftermarket if that's what you want.) I've never felt rushed when I go to pick my car up and have questions. They're also very good about arranging appointments in a timely fashion, and are sympathetic to urgent needs. As another reviewer already mentioned, their charges are very appropriate. They troubleshoot many issues free of charge, and will let you know when they need to start charging you (for example, if they need to start removing parts of the car). When I was shopping for a car, they even offered to look over the (used) car before I bought it to make sure there weren't any serious issues. As for simple maintenance like oil changes, they are well worth what they charge. They've been very accommodating when I've wanted to bring in my own oil/filter or when I have a specific name brand I'd like them to use (which they'll order in for you). They've also been great at keeping an eye on some developing problems during my oil changes, so I know how quickly some issues are degrading (loose front bushings for example). Aside from their technical skills, which appear to be great in my opinion, they are also a very friendly group of people. They will take time out of their day to not only fix your car and make you 100% comfortable with any work they perform, but they'll also take time to chat with you and get to know you as a person (not just a pocketbook). read more

I was disappointed by the lack of integrity of these guys. I went in for brakes, which I thought I needed and they were willing to selling me but I decided to keep an appointment with the dealer who was $60 cheaper. As it turns out, I did not need brakes, according to the dealer mechanic I have a good 10,000 miles before I need to think about them. He showed me the indicator groove to prove it. What's worse is I was in uniform when I went to Four T's. If they are willing to take advantage of a member of the Armed Services I imagine they will do it to their friends and neighbors too, shame on all of you. I take my Jeep, Corvette and old chevy truck to 4 T's garage. They do great work, provide detailed explanations of the problem with the car and provide different cost effective ways to fix the problem. They also install aftermarket parts from outside vendors like Amazon. I just had them install new sway bars and Borla exhaust I got on Amazon on my Corvette as well as fix a couple of other issues. read more

They changed my timing belt on my Honda Pilot, I brought all of the parts needed, they had to use their own parts to supplement where I underestimated and they didn't even charge me for it. Four T's: Tactless Two-faced Thieving Technicians I went to Four T's after a two hour drive from DC in my 86 Camaro. It ran great the entire trip, as usual due to regular upkeep and care. I simply wanted new spark plugs to guarantee a passed emissions inspection for DC, so I stopped by Four Ts. I didnt make it a block away before my car broke down. I called them and they told me to drive it back, so after starting, stopping and making terrible noises, I make a U-turn and after an hour and a half I somehow make it back to Four T's. They notify me that, woops, looks like they put the plugs back in the wrong order. Oh, and my radiator is cracked and oh, my fuel pump is messed up too. I had dropped the tank and replaced all of that stuff within 6 months prior to all this. I had it towed back home and it was 6 months before I had it running again, AND I even dropped the tank and replaced the pump, etc again just in case. Didnt help. Bottom line, these guys saw a DC license plate and a few dollar signs. Out of towners beware. read more

Nothing terribly wrong to note with this garage, hence the two stars instead of one. However, I brought my truck there with a check engine light on. They wanted 380 to diagnose the problem. That price was before repairs.. I decided to take it to a different shop 20 mins away which found the problem as soon as they started it. With diagnosis, oil change and repairs, I was charged 340. The shop at four t's is beautiful on the inside but are we paying for those upgrades in our repair prices or were the mechanics just not as knowledgeable. read more

I'm almost 40 years old and have had many vehicles and been to many garages. Independent and dealer. This includes BMW, Infiniti and Lexus. These guys are BY FAR the only garage I've ever seen with this level of customer service. Everything that I needed to know about the work being done was explained in detail without me asking. Everyone that I came across there actually said hi or waved. One of the owners actually asked if he could come to my vehicle to verify the job done later that day. Amazing. They are good with basic service. They don't seem to know much about foreign cars. I took my Audi to them and I was told I needed an expensive part. Went to an Audi expert and in fact that's not what I needed. I also had a oil leak that they failed to mention. Wouldn't recommend going here for in-depth work. Be aware of over charging. They also recommend me getting a part replaced that I just had replace in a couple months prior. Didn't need that replaced either. They are friendly but your bill will be extremely high while Tommy assumes what may be wrong. read more
