Saved Me from a Costly Mistake -- Highly Recommend!…read more I live out of state and was considering purchasing a 2021 Ford F-450 from a , so I hired Martin's Auto Tech to perform a pre-sales inspection. Their thorough and honest evaluation uncovered a long list of mechanical and cosmetic issues that the dealership failed to disclose -- and ultimately saved me from buying a ticking time bomb. They found replaced front fenders, bumper, and hood with overspray and missed paint areas, missing mud flaps, wheel center caps, and antenna, a broken mirror, and brake pads barely passing at 4/32. Even more concerning were leaking front axle seals, an upper oil pan leak with residue on the lower pan (which requires the engine to be pulled to repair), and two open recalls that hadn't been addressed. Their attention to detail and clear communication gave me peace of mind and likely saved me thousands in future repairs. If you're buying a vehicle -- especially remotely -- I highly recommend Martin's Auto Tech . Their integrity and expertise are second to none.

After moving to Waldorf, I was impressed with (and a little skeptical of) Boswell's nearly 5 Star Yelp rating. After using Boswell's twice, I quickly experienced how they earned and maintain their reputation. The owner, Tom is not afraid to tell you his rates up front and give his best estimate on time needed to diagnose/fix. He is candid about when he will be able to get to your car. I never felt pressure for any repairs - Tom is like an experienced doctor who gives his best diagnosis for what is wrong with a vehicle including options and costs for different courses of action. After 5 years, Boswell's is still our go-to auto repair shop. Through many repairs over the years, both small and large - Boswell's consistently provides fair prices, good service, and great communication. Thanks, Tom! Steve worked over the weekend to get our truck back to us for a fair price, finding that it was the alternator, which gave us no clue while driving, but the little sucker fried out, and now with a new one, it runs great! I've seen some pretty shady stuff. MANY of todays shops are seriously under trained/uneducated especially on todays newer cars. I say this with praise for those shops with employees that may actually care... The rest of the shops, simply don't care...)) After checking yelp.com with no success, I made a few calls looking for only the most trusted, reliable, and established of shops. Cox's was at the top of the list recommended to my by a local professional. I took my car in without an appointment. Although unable to do it immediately (( not at all that I would expect that)) They simply asked me to come back in about an hour and they'd squeeze me in. Upon my return they promptly test drove and inspected my car in a timely manner (about 45 minutes.) Unfortunately for me, my car failed. ((I actually expected my 14 year old car to fail for some reason.)) The Inspector, Took me into the shop and showed me the exact reason of concern. I promptly corrected the Issue and called back the same afternoon to actually schedule to come in the following morning. Upon the Re-Inspect, I was relieved to learn that I had satisfied Maryland's strict inspection demands. Again, I am pretty well rehearsed in auto repair/service. Shops, Dealerships, and Parts as well, hence my precautionary measures I took to find a top notch shop. These guys obviously know what the hell they are doing. They run an honest operation, and they are not going to molly-whop you for your hard earned cash. Simply put, There are only a few people I will let work on my cars. After seeing these guys in action for only an hour and a half, Cox's Auto Repair is now on my list!

I needed to replace the EPS steering damper on my 2013 Toyota Camry. After reviewing online…read morefeedback and calling several local shops for estimates, I ultimately selected Huntingtown Automotive. Prior to taking my car in, I researched the typical repair costs. The replacement damper itself is an inexpensive part (around $10), and a fair total repair cost at an independent shop typically ranges from $300 to $450 based on 2 to 3 hours of labor. Many Camry owners reported paying roughly $300 at independent shops familiar with this specific fix. When I called Huntingtown Automotive beforehand, they gave me an estimate of approximately $300. However, once the job was completed, I was billed $750 based on 6 hours of labor. Surprised by the unexpected cost, I discussed the invoice with the shop manager, Troy, who subsequently reduced the bill to $600. While I appreciated the discount, I still feel that $600 is significantly higher than what is fair and reasonable for this repair.
