Saved Me from a Costly Mistake -- Highly Recommend!…read more I live out of state and was considering purchasing a 2021 Ford F-450 from a , so I hired Martin's Auto Tech to perform a pre-sales inspection. Their thorough and honest evaluation uncovered a long list of mechanical and cosmetic issues that the dealership failed to disclose -- and ultimately saved me from buying a ticking time bomb. They found replaced front fenders, bumper, and hood with overspray and missed paint areas, missing mud flaps, wheel center caps, and antenna, a broken mirror, and brake pads barely passing at 4/32. Even more concerning were leaking front axle seals, an upper oil pan leak with residue on the lower pan (which requires the engine to be pulled to repair), and two open recalls that hadn't been addressed. Their attention to detail and clear communication gave me peace of mind and likely saved me thousands in future repairs. If you're buying a vehicle -- especially remotely -- I highly recommend Martin's Auto Tech . Their integrity and expertise are second to none.

Very female-friendly (shoutout to Jenna, the service writer) and they have shop dogs! Prices are so fair I almost feel bad paying them so little. The first time was to address an issue with my brakes. Two different shops had failed to diagnose the problem correctly. Martin's figured out a previous shop had installed my brake pads backwards and corrected the problem. The second was for what turned out to be a bad body control module. Since the module has to be reprogrammed by the dealer, they recommended I have the whole job done at the dealership. This cost them money, because they could have replaced the module and then left me to deal with getting it reprogrammed, but since it would be easier for me to get the whole job done at the dealership, that's what they recommended. Wish I could give them six stars. Did I mention the dogs?

When I finally decided to have them installed, I chose Pro-Link Automotive not only because it was convenient but appeared reliable based on prior ratings. Even though I was prepared to wait to get an appointment, I was able to get my car in within a week. After the parts were replaced, I received a call and was told exactly what was done to include them having to add screws that were missing from the original parts. I was also told the parking lights I requested be replaced were already working properly. So I was able to save some money. The price of the service was way less than expected! Anywho, I found a new mechanic for my vehicle. Now my plan to keep my car until the wheels fall off has been extended!

I'm new to Maryland and found the most honest mechanic in town; Mark at ProLink saved me $$$ and…read moremake me aware of how Bayside Chevrolet Scammed me. On 8 January 2020, I had my transmission replaced on my 2012 Chevrolet Traverse; replaced with a used transmission by Rick Ball Chevrolet Dealership in MO. On 11 January 2020 I had the car in Maryland and the Check Engine light came on. I called MO and they stated to take the car to a Chevrolet Dealership in Maryland. On 17 January 2020, I took my car to Bayside Chevrolet and I provided them a full update on the status of my transmission; They had the vehicle until 22 January 2020. On 22 January 2020, they documented on my service ticket, "R+R Sensor to find covered in clutch material indicating faulty internals require replace transmission"; approximately $6045. They stated they only deal with OEM parts and would not work with the used parts provider to install the used transmission. They informed me I have 2 options: Option 1 was to pay them $6045 to replace my transmission with a new one or pay $143.25 for diagnosing the vehicle and go elsewhere. On 22 January 2020, I Paid $143.25 for the diagnosis and I took my Traverse to ProLink Automotive located in Prince Frederick, MD. On 31 January 2020, I picked up my Traverse from ProLink Automotive. ProLink owner Mark stated he "flushed" the transmission and it was running great. He stated that Bayside Chevrolet lied about diagnosing the "sensor" in the transmission. He stated the sensor is an internal (inside transmission) sensor and that it was evident that Bayside Chevrolet never accessed the internals of the transmission. On 1 February 2020, I met with the Service Manager at Bayside Chevrolet and I expressed my concern. She initially stated that there was no way that one of her mechanics falsified a service check. She called the mechanic to meet with her and I; during this conversation, the mechanic admitted to not accessing the internal transmission sensor and that he had no idea why he documented on the invoice "R+R Sensor to find covered in clutch material indicating faulty internals require replace transmission". The Service Manager was embarrassed and refunded me $143.25; she stated she would be in contact with me the following week. To this day, I've never heard back from her... On a positive note, my transmission (which was fixed by ProLink) is still running Great! This is an unfortunate incident of yet another dishonest Service Mechanic / Business. From a customer perspective, I was without this vehicle for 6 days and Bayside Chevrolet never even diagnosed it. They simply took my $143.25 and told me to take it elsewhere or pay $6045 for a new transmission. Thank God for ProLink Automotive; they saved me thousands! He had an opportunity to charge me $1600 (labor) to replace the transmission, however he did the right thing and properly diagnosed the vehicle and charged me to simply flush the transmission. I will never go to another mechanic while in Maryland! Thanks Prolink!
