IT'SUGAR is a chain/franchise, with multiple locations across the country. In my perspective, this store is large with a good selection. They have packaged brands that we all know, plus the option to buy in bulk or in takeaway packages. I saw most of the usual suspects, as well as brands I didn't recognize as well as a large selection of Swedish candy which is currently trending. You can by bulk candy either by weight or volume; I decided to go the latter and choose one of their containers that can be filled as much as possible as long as the lid closed. I mostly stuck to the fruity and chewy candies which were quite good. It wasn't busy at all when we were there, so checkout was super fast. Overall, I was impressed with IT'SUGAR - really good variety and a place I would seek out for some sweets.

They give out small samples in these small tin cups and I tried Snores and Brownie flavored popcorn. I ended up getting the small movie flavored popcorn in a bag and it was all of the popcorn flavor that I had expected. The store is amazing with plenty of chocolates to select from. I sampled the raspberry blackberry I enjoyed the fruity flavor with the fresh white chocolate. I really waited until the last minute to get a gift for a long term colleague of over twenty years who is retiring today. The gentleman was very helpful in explaining the various types of chocolate decadence that they have, and he gave me the prices as well. They don't actually post the prices here. The medium sized box of chocolate covered strawberries that I purchased was nearly $50. I think the main reason for the pricey chocolate is their location being only a block away from the White House and also because most of the chocolate is imported. I'm sure the tariffs now has increased the price by a lot. The one reason why I did not give this place five stars was that they opened over an hour later than what is posted on the door.

Läderach is my go-to chocolate shop to grab some festive holiday goodies - whether it's heart-shaped chocolate for Valentine's Day, chocolate bunnies for Easter, or a chocolate reindeer or angel for Christmas, Läderach offers a great selection for every occasion. This is premium chocolate, so it is pricey. The prices in the shop are the same prices as online. I do wish they had some kind of rewards/loyalty program, but I'm already a repeat customer without it. Nine times out of 10, there's a staff member standing outside the shop with a smile and a giant tray of samples to lure you in. Their chocolate hazelnut slab is smooth, rich, and delicious, and it has that perfect crunch from the nuts.
