Lindsey has been such a friendly and patient person to work with as I navigated florist options for our wedding. She was very detailed in her design proposals and quotes, answered every question, and was quick to respond to my emails. Although we did not end up hiring her for our wedding, her design proposal was gorgeous and I could tell she'd be easy to work with. The only thing holding us back from hiring her was our very limited budget. Her patience and professionalism has been so appreciated. I encountered a couple of other florists who weren't very communicative, even unresponsive. I really liked that Lindsey kept me updated when she needed more time to get her proposal to me, and was happy to revise it when I had some requests for changes. Met the talented Lindsey at an event in the desert called Cactus Fest. I love flower crowns and the fact that I saw her friend, Elizabeth, making one for her cat urged me to ask her to make one for my cat. Lindsey is incredible! I was supposed to get married in 2020 but had to reschedule twice due to the pandemic. As a business owner who relies on big events, I can't imagine how awful it was for her to have clients cancelling and pushing events later. Despite this, Lindsey was incredibly professional and willing to accommodate our new date! Now for the event itself - I think Lindsey must have burrowed into my brain, saw my image of the wedding, and then made it a million times better. I can not have imagined more beautiful, perfect florals. Every detail was just amazing, I have no idea how she did it. She even busted her butt to find the perfect irises the day before the event (we had requested them as an accent color) because the ones that came in were not the anticipated color. I wish we had an unlimited floral budget for our wedding, because Lindsey did such a fantastic job for us! After I first reached out to her with our color palette and other examples, she very quickly turned around a detailed proposal for us. She was so accommodating and thoughtful in working with our budget and went through several drafts of the proposal to get the numbers to line up for us. We had a very small wedding party, just a maid of honor and best man, so we did not need a lot of personal pieces made, and yet we still feel like Lindsey went above and beyond for us. Our ceremony arch was a pre-existing old greenhouse structure that already had quite a bit of greenery growing, and we had Lindsey affix blooms within the greenery as she saw fit - The result was the perfect blend of organic with a touch of whimsy and magic, and it really did look like the blossoms were naturally a part of the greenery all along. She took the same idea to decorate the space behind our reception sweetheart table, and somehow achieved the same effect on an iron gate that had far less existing greenery! She also had an arrangement displayed in front of our sweetheart table as well as smaller pieces on our table - We did not expect this since we DIY-ed the other reception tables' decor, so when we sat down we were so surprised and excited that our table looked way more lovely and legit than we thought it would! Another surprise was the fact that Lindsey brought a boutonniere for my dad to wear during the ceremony when we had only ordered them for the groom and best man - Such thoughtful touches, especially given how flexible Lindsey had been in working with our budget! Everything turned out beautifully, and my bouquet was fresh enough to travel home with us and grace our living room for the better part of a week. I ended up pressing many of the flowers to eventually display in glass frames, pendants, etc, and Lindsey chimed in on my Instagram story on the project with some tips and other accounts for inspiration - So clearly she loves what she does! We hired Lindsey as our florist for our wedding and I am so grateful that we did. Our planner, Chabeli from PS & Associates Event Planning recommended her. Lindsey created a proposal that really captured our vision AND listed different ways we could move forward based on different budget options, which I really appreciated. As we got closer to the wedding and realized we would need more flowers due to having more tables than we had anticipated, she reached out and suggested a couple of ways we could pull our design off while keeping our budget in mind. Another tidbit to share- I wanted a bouquet with some flowers that happen to be super fragile, and Lindsey was honest in sharing that it might be hard to pull off but that she'd find similar blooms for me. However, when it came down to the wedding day, I was surprised at the venue with the bouquet of my dreams (being protected and hydrated in a vase with water until the moment I walked down the aisle). It was such a nice surprise to get in a moment when I was starting to feel very stressed and overwhelmed! All of this is to say - Lindsey is incredibly thoughtful in her work and wants to collaborate with her couples.
