Stock Bros specialise in VW's especially Golfs - they had a Mark 1 when I bought my car. However, they do have a few other makes as well. They also service and valet the car and the prices are very reasonable and you get a cmplete breakdown of all the work done and get to see any parts they replace. Definately a car dealer to be trusted in my opinion.

Recently my brother got his tyres changed at Charles Hurst, they organised to pick his car up from his work and leave it back to the office. After this good experience with Charles Hurst he chose them to replace his steering rack (means nothing to me either). But they quoted him twice as much as anywhere else in town. I know you have got to take the rough with the smooth but 200 pounds extra is just a bit too rough.

The car was taken in to be looked at. I called the next day to ask about it and was told that the part needed want in stock and would have to be shipped from Hyundai HQ in South Korea. I then embarked on a daily mission to get to and from work without my car. For three long weeks! I know Korea is far away but three weeks? I wasn't kept up to date in the slightest in all this time. I had to constantly chase and chase and a lot of the time the person I needed to speak to was unavailable and did not return my call. Finally to add insult to injury, when I got my car back, it was absolutely filthy, covered in mud, and had 1/4 of a tank less of diesel than it did when I'd left it in.

It is clear they are trying really hard to make this a warm and worthy business. As for the cars themselves they are of a very high standard and are as genuine as a cheap, quality used car can get. The business has a variety of cars from family friendly cars to the likes of most people who have just past their driving test. So to sum up my experience it was just very .... genuine and just a comfortable environment to be in and for me it was just as good as it can get.

For being an independent car sales dealership so close to the big wigs of the Boucher Road it appears to do very well. It has two forecourts filled with all makes and models, all 2nd hand. I was lucky enough to get rid of the car after taking the company to small claims and winning my case spent over the odds for a car which had problems by the next morning after not driving for the rest of the day after purchase. I knew nothing about cars and got taken for a mug don't be a mug and go somewhere else. Cannot stress enough to avoid this business and tell your friends to too.
