When I call the salesman up, he completely refuses to do any service on the vehicle as he thinks he did not make enough money on the car. Now, 1 month after I have bought the car, I'll have to take it to a dealer and get it serviced for 200 quid !!! Really poor after sales support.

I've been restoring my Mercedes C200 coupe for several months, and it's nearly finished - I brought it to the dealers for very specific repairs, only to be told that the mechanic was 'afraid' to diagnose the stuck sun-roof, in case he broke it. I was then charged for 2 hours labour to change door seals that should have required at most 15 minutes each. I was also charged for repairing a design flaw that causes motor oil to wick through the engine wiring loom. I had agreed to £1800 pounds in repairs - which they couldn't do because 'autoglass' wasn't available to remove the glass from the hatch - for several days, because they can't do that at the dealer. Basically they made it ultra clear that they could only work on my car under the following conditions: 1. I had to leave it with them for an indefinite period of time. 2. I had to agree to pay over £3000 for an entirely new sunroof (and all mechanics) before they would try to fix mine at all (which is merely stuck on the left side). 3. They will not do 'complete' repairs if electronics attached to glass is involved, relying on third parties to accomplish anything related to glass - and they have no priority for this work with their providers. Ultimately, the worst part is that they put an uninformed agent in-between you and the mechanic - so the mechanic can say whatever they want to the agent or the back office, the agent then just tells you that they don't understand everything because they are not mechanics. When I did speak to the mechanic, I was assured that all would be done, but the agent failed to coordinate the glass work in time, so nothing happened at all. - But I still got charged over £500 for what should have cost about £100. I will never buy another Mercedes - just because of this and I'll never recommend anyone else do so either.

He was four hours and he rang before he arrived to say he had no equipment or parts as his van had broken down the day before and he had a hire van not BMW. He said everyone is told four hours but no one cares anymore. Now it's back in Bavarian. The on board computer shows it sits where it was parked not moving six hours ago. It needs a software update that seemingly can't be done remotely but they couldn't even be arsed plugging in for the software fix. Shoulda boughta Lada.

After I test drove and ordered my car, they made sure to give me regular updates on the build progress of the car and likely arrival date. Even when the car had to be serviced, you leave the car off at Bavarian and they drop you back to your work free of charge. They then collect you once your car is ready. Complimentary drinks and snacks are available whilst waiting in the show room. The choice of a bunch of flowers or a large BMW umbrella upon collecting the car is a nice touch too.

I got a call in the afternoon to discuss the work that had to be done on the car and of course the usual "up sell" things - no mention of the only problem I had pointed out so I assumed it was in hand. It was due to be collected at 18:00 this evening and at 16:45 I still hadn't heard anything and their app was showing work still in progress (it was also still showing collection at 18:00). I sent off an email to the service department. I had a missed call just after 17:00 and I returned very shortly after. I got told that they had missed the MOT slot because of a ticking noise when they went to go take my car to the centre!!! It would likely cost a further £299 on top of the £770 bill already clocked up. I got told that they hadn't identified this in the workshop. When I asked if they had taken it for a drive to test it I got told they had but it didn't show. Really?? Because it's been doing it every day for me for the last 2 weeks!! I then got told the test drive must not have been long enough - I pointed out that the noise started on the short distance between Woodstock road and the middle/top of cregagh road!! The member of staff then told me that I had said the noise happened when I started the car - I did not !! Which makes me wonder if the car was taken for a test drive at all!!! I then asked to speak to a manager and got told no one was available (17:10ish) that someone would call me back tomorrow or Friday if I wasn't available. When asked when it would then be put through it's MOT I got told he would have to look for a cancellation. I have grave reservations about the way in which the problem was investigated and the standard of the service. If they genuinely could not find the problem why wasn't I called about it - I was hardly making it up!!! They had the time to call me and discuss all the little ad-ons they were suggesting !!! I'm afraid the customer service representative while not rude was far from genuinely apologetic and tried to make it sound like it was my fault for giving incorrect information.

I'm not sure if the opening of Sainsbury's garage (see my review) was a factor in its closing, but it's hard to imagine that it wasn't. They stock a wide selection of new and used Hyundais, and also have a small selection of other makes of cars. There are finance deals available (as you'd imagine) where payments can be spread out over 3-5 years, but if you go in here with cash then it goes a long way. The five year warranty that comes with new cars is attracting a lot of people to Hyundai (eclipsed only, I think, by Kia's seven year warranty). There are few people who would look beyond Boucher Road when they're going to buy a car, new or used, but if you like Hyundais or you like the sound of a five year warranty, check this place out.
