This attended car wash and valet service has been in operation for quite a few years now. It is…read moresituated in a good area for business purpose as it is just off a junction which is access for several towns and villages in the Ards peninsula . It is very reasonable costing £5 for a wash and wax and it is always a very thorough job which is never rushed and door sills are always cleaned which for lady drivers is very important!. They also do steam cleaning for MOTand PSV checks. The car wash is operated by two people which makes it quick and efficient when there is a line if cars waiting which is common on a Saarurday. Opening hours are 9-5 Monday to Saturday which suites mist people. All in all its hard to beat this car wash , so if you live in the area or maybe out for a day trip you might wish to avail your car of this service and wash off all the muck from our lovely country roads .

Extreme Clean is a valet and car wash that goes the extra mile, yet another pun, I apologise…read more Anyway back to business, Extreme Clean is located at a crossroads between Bangor and Donaghadee, this means they get plenty of passing cars stopping in for a polish. It is also useful if you are with toddler who is petrified of the usual petrol station car wash machines, as it is all manual. Extreme Clean offer a car wash for £5 which is good value and they will give your car, van or lorry a coat of wax for an extra pound. One extra little thing they do is clean the inside of your doors and your alloys. I must admit that I was a little bit worried that I was going to get soaked when the attendant reached for the door handle, all those childhood super soaker moments came flooding back, but to my surprise I stayed bone dry and the inside of the door looked nice and shinny. The service was excellent, the wash took 5 minutes and the car was gleaming, we even splashed out on a coat of wax. Big spenders eh? The one other thing I learned about this business is that it sells gift vouchers far all its services including valet. So why not show someone how much you love/hate them by treating them to the ultimate car wash experience.

Do you know what I hate? I hate cleaning my car, I hate getting all hot and bothered and all soapy…read moreand wet. I even hate when I take my car to a car wash and it's some big hairy bloke who hand washes my car for me. I think if you are going to the bother of washing your car then you should do it right. The only way to do it right, in my humble opinion, is to take it to one of those machines with the foam and the spray and the big blue duster-thingy. Now that is the king of car washing. Lucky for you I know where there is a cracker! Arc Clean Car Center on the Jubilee Road will let you have a go on their big machine (I kind of see it like a fairground attraction) for as little as £3.20. Just drive in and join the small and fast queue. The guy will ask you what you want and you can choose from a list of options - I always go for the £3.20 option but you can get a very basic hand wash for under £2.00. The guy will clean your wheels, rims and mud guards as well as applying a lovely smelling pink liquid before guiding you on the wheel ramps. The actual wash only lasts about three minutes but the air blowers dry the car for you as well - you can drive away clean as a whistle and hope that it doesn't rain for at least a day so you can get your monies worth. They also offer a valeting service and more expensive washes - maybe someday if I'm feeling flush I'll go in and get the works!

These guys must clean up! Get it 'clean up'? See what I did there? The reason I say this is not…read morejust because they are a car wash but because they are located at the bottom of Jubilee Road in Newtwonards - about a 2 minute drive from the MOT Test Centre. This is precisely the reason I visited Arc, I was taking my car for the dreaded MOT and I thought it wouldn't hurt to give it a little once over before the big inspection. One thing that Arc offer which is a necessity before your MOT is an under car cleaning service - this will give the inspector a clear view of the inner workings of your car and hopefully increase the chances of a pass. The service Arc offer is graded. You can start with a basic wash for £2.50 and then pay up to £8 for the works. I went for 'Option 4' which was a clean and wax and the under car spray. This set me back £5. Not a bad price at all! The car wash is attended which is a good thing as the directions aren't very clear when you drive in. You need to pay before deriving in to the wash itself and then when it's done just drive off. All in all I was happy with the service and the wash - My car passed it's MOT - here's my top tip to ensure yours does too - go to Arc - pick option 4 and then go to the Tesco garage across the road and pick up a Magic Tree Air Freshener! **Disclaimer** Your car may actually need a service also - Car wash not guaranteed to ensure MOT pass.

My fiancé was moaning at me to get his car to a valet for him as it was in a state. I've had my car…read more3 years and never valet it so I didn't know where to go. All I knew was that there were a few wee places about and that if I went to the one near the park I could combine walking the dog with the valet so I decided to use this small valet service near our local park. When I rolled up the place was empty and there seemed to be just one man smoking at the gate. This guy greeted me very cheerily and was of eastern European decent. I'm not sure how good his English was as I was babbling on about never having done this before and how long would it take and what will it cost etc while he just kept shouting 'you want mini valet, £12.00?' I wasn't sure if he was asking or telling so I just agreed. I parked the car and suddenly there were about five people watching my every move. I felt massively undignified as I tried to get the dog on its lead while getting out of the car in a short skirt and handing over the keys all at the same time. Needless to say I looked like an idiot and they were all sniggering at my state. As I hobbled off trying to compose myself the main guy told me to be back in 30 minutes. Toby and I had a lovely walk and when I returned they were just finishing off. The tyres were clean and the bodywork was gleaming. Though I have to say I don't think it was the best valet. There were a few areas they missed and the carpet had a big damp patch on it, but, they were quick, convenient for me and cheap enough so it will do. I'd probably give them 7 out of 10 for the overall job done and for £12.00 it wasn't bad at all.
