I had a simple burrito but added carnitas. I was surprised at just how good it was. One of the top 3 burritos I've had in San Francisco

It's located in the middle of the Ferry building with access from the back side (with view of the bay). They do not take reservations and its first come first served. I've tried twice only to be scared off by the long line. Not everyone at our table eats raw oysters so we order fried oysters, fish & chips, fish stew (2x) along with our dozen of fresh oysters plus beer and a bad bunny cocktail. Everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful and the oysters were AMAZING!! Inside was lively and a bit loud so its hard to have conversation in between the oohs, aahs and mmmm. We didn't feel pressure to eat quickly since the line was getting longer and longer. Our group really enjoyed the experience.

And if you hate oysters (as long as you're not allergic) maybe you'd like them once you've had them here. I grabbed these oysters from their pop up tent outside the ferry building and next time I'm in SF I will be sure to try more from the restaurant. From the freshness to the size of the oysters to the taste it was incredible.

We were seated outside which was a bit windy but they have overhead heating lamp so it wasn't too bad. We got 2 cioppino's to share, along with seafood risotto and salmon fettuccine. The cioppino is delicious! The soup base was very flavorful and there's a range of seafood. The risotto and salmon fettuccine were tasty, esp the white sauce for the pasta. The portion size is pretty good. The service was fast and attentive. The cioppino def lived up to the hype and though we didn't sit inside, the indoor decor seemed quite fun too. Would come back to try more seafood dishes!

You could really taste the freshness in every bite! The Dungeness crab was moist and tender, accompanied by scallops, shrimp, tiny shrimp, mussels, and clams, all in a rich, flavorful broth. We requested to swap the penne pasta for linguine, which they kindly accommodated. Unfortunately, the pasta was overcooked. What really stood out was the exceptional service. From the host greeting us to checkout, every staff member was genuinely friendly and welcoming. Overall, a wonderful experience with generous portions, fresh seafood, and fantastic hospitality. Definitely worth visiting when in San Francisco!

Y-U-M, full stop…read more How can I have lived in SF for more than 25 years and never once made it to this place?! For two of us we ordered a dozen oysters (sweetwaters, kusshis and miyagis), a bowl of clam chowder, the steamed artichoke w/citrus aioli, the Caesar salad w/crab and some bread on the side. And two glasses of Corsican rosé. ALL of it was scrumptious. It was just the right amount of food for us, though next time we will downsize the clam chowder or order a plain Caesar to fit another half dozen oysters into our bellies. Service was uniformly attentive and friendly and the place is cute and clean. We arrived at about 5.40 and were seated about half an hour later at the bar. Coming back!!

Delicious shellfish meals has always been on my mind before I personally give up on them. I preferred indoor dining since I got to see how hungry customers like their food so much. After finding out about the specials, it's too bad there's never any single fish dishes let alone mostly shellfish meals. Therefore, a shellfish salad was a suitable choice. A pair of prawns, Bay shrimps, crab meat remains, olives, slices of tomatoes, slices of radish, and the romaine lettuce as a base. The blue cheese dressing I've chosen didn't overwhelm the shrimp and crab flavors as I continue to enjoy every single bite. I'll be more than glad to have cioppino and some oyster shooters, but having the shellfish salad is the last shellfish meal I would ever have. I still give two thumbs up to Anchor Oyster Bar for their local sustainable seafood selection.

One place where people from around the world enjoy the taste of San Francisco seafood is Fisherman's Wharf. There is a San Francisco institution which been serving seafood for over 60 years. It's located a stones throw from the salty water in SF and it's called Scoma's. On the last full week of the Summer stroll on Al Scoma Way I landed again at Scoma's. I first tried the oysters without the lemon squeeze along with the shrimp. I then had the clam chowder with pepper which wasn't salty like some in SF. I then had their Fried combo which wild gulf shrimp, scallops and wild cod with fries which weren't salty like some in SF. Then I had their whole Dungeness crab with garlic. I then washed it down with glasses of Pinot Noir from a French owner vineyard in Oregon. Scoma's is a San Francisco institution worth revisiting. The service was great. The food I had mixed feelings. The daily oysters were $1.55 each, now I know why they were so cheap. It was so fishy! We ordered half a dozen because I wanted to taste it before getting a full dozen and luckily we did because they tasted so gross. I think we spit out two and the other four were ok. The baked oysters were delicious but tinyyyyyy! Flavors were great, couldn't really taste the oysters because they were so small. The gochujang butter sauce and the pineapple butter were delicious. The steamed clams were small too, the flavors were great especially when dipping with bread. The fish n chips was one HUGE piece of fish. Not even cut into the strips, it was like a whole filet. The French fries that came with it had a pool of oil so we grabbed some paper napkins to transfer so the fries aren't sitting in oil. The dish itself was tasty but would've loved the traditional style. The crispy calamari salad was delicious! Perfect lemon vinaigrette to go with it. Would not come back, unfortunately.
