Nice atmosphere and great service. We sat outside and the only down side was the flowers falling from the trees on to the table. Pomegranate mule: amazing! I always get the sweetest drink on the menu and this hit the spot without being too sweet. So good, I had to double back. Lobster Bisque: vest tasty and really creamy. Good amount of lobster in it. Angel hair pasta: really good. Reminds me of an upgraded version Friday's Cajun chicken and Shrimp pasta minus the chicken and a little more kick Crab cake: really good especially over the rock shrimp grits Had the post mortem and cinnamon apple bread pudding for dessert. Both were equally good. Will be back, definitely recommend. read more

Love this restaurant. We sat on the back patio and enjoyed one of the last warm nights of the fall. The beef carpaccio is always good. A great sized portion too! There were four of us eating it. We also split the calamari and shrimp. I got the shrimp pasta and my friends split the rigatoni bolognese read more

Lindey's is definitely a new favorite! High quality meal and the pricing seemed very fair to us. We had an 8:30pm reservation on a Saturday, but they were able to seat us early around 8:00pm which we really appreciated. I started with a glass of Riesling, and my boyfriend ordered the seasonal cocktail, which is a twist on an old fashioned. We didn't get an app for the table, but I got a Caesar salad and my boyfriend got a cup of lobster bisque. Next time, I'll pass on the Caesar salad and get a cup of the lobster bisque as well, the citrus flavor of the salad was just too strong for my liking. For entree's, we ordered the Shrimp & Lobster Risotto and Steak Frites. Both were delicious and packed with flavor! It was a tough choice to decide on our entree's, so we are excited to go back and try some of the other options. Highly recommend the key lime pie as well. We got ours to-go, and it traveled fine on the ride home. It's a great ambiance for a romantic date night, our only complaint was that we got seated directly next to a very large (and loud) party. read more

Easy to make an online reservation! A good place to go on a special occasion. The inside is beautiful and has a great atmosphere. The servers were very attentive and kind. The service was fast. We were able to find free two hour parking just down the street. My mom and I ordered the chopped salad to split and we really enjoyed it. The dressing was delicious and was a good size for ~$13. We split the burger and the salmon. We loved the sauce that came with the salmon and it was cooked just the way we wanted it to with a crispy outside. The burger was also very tasty. Overall had a great dinner to celebrate a graduation! read more

Lindey's can do no wrong. This was my second visit here and we went early on a Friday afternoon to snag a patio seat. The patio is truly special. Sit under the umbrella if you can right now because the trees are dropping little presents that like to stick to your hair. I had the chef special sea bass and it was to die for. The carrots melted in my mouth, the fish was perfectly flakey and delicious. The Alameda Overnight drink is now my most favorite cocktail of all time. The service is always classy, friendly, and prompt. read more

First of all the German Town location gives it a nice old world ambience. Second, the service was top notch. Our waiter was prompt and thorough. But the highlight was the food. We had their brunch. We started off with their croissants and coffee, and then Lindey's Eggs for the wife, French toast for me. We will definitely repeat. The patio looks like it would be a summer must do. read more

The food here is stellar. Really, truly impeccable. I think the best food I have eaten in Ohio. The atmosphere matches the food. Soft lighting, not overly loud. The highlights were the french onion soup, the hummus appetizer, the grouper entree and the coffee creme brûlée. Honorable mention also for the bread basket full of fresh sourdough, that tasted like what you get at the best bakeries in San Francisco. The service was lovely. Each course was timed well so that we were not rushed, but also not left waiting. We did not get to enjoy the beautiful patio, but I cannot wait to go back to try brunch and some warm weather outdoor dining. A true five star experience from beginning to end. Parking tip: They have complimentary valet parking. Much appreciated in German Village. read more

A delightful place with a fine dining atmosphere. It has great service, including a complementary dessert for birthdays. Everything pictured was flavorful and a joy to eat. The only entree that may be avoided in the future would be the French onion soup (I felt it was too salty). Definitely a place to go for a classy dinner with reliable menu options! read more

Caveat; i have been coming here before Executive Chef Max and continue after he came here. What can be said about Lindey's? It's clientele tends to be upscale. If you catch a seat on the patio in the nicer weather, you'll notice a certain... snootiness mixed with young blood of people who discovered they have a phenomenal happy hour. I had ONE bad experience here - where a waiter claimed the Mayo in a dish was egg free. It was not, my date ended rather horribly. But it also didn't last, so I can't hold it against them, either. I've done birthdays for myself and for others, drinks at the bar, dinner inside, outside - and while they have that air of German village, they treat everyone inside their doors the same. The service is top notch - most often, every server has a solid knowledge and recommendations to offer. This most recent visit - my birthday. A solo venture in covid times. From pulling up, to being sat, to talking with the staff, it was nothing but a positive experience. You know the phrase, you get what you pay for? That's doubly true here. It's a little pricey, but the food has always been phenomenal. The service is impeccable. Brunch, lunch, dinner, casual, event - Lindey's never fails to make it feel elevated. Edit: Chad was my server this evening - and he was amazing in guiding my choices this evening, and being attentive. read more

EXCELLENT food and ambiance. Wait for the patio- WORTH THE WAIT!!!! Tess was our waitress and she was AMAZING!! We asked for some recommendations on the menu and she shared some of her favorites and let us know that we could split two entrees and they would split them into each of our individual plates which was awesome. We are new to the area and she also took the time to share some additional local favorites which was huge for us considering we are so new to the area. Loved everything we ate and could just scrape the crab cake sauce off the bottom of my plate!! read more

I have heard this is one of the best restaurants in Columbus, so I had to try. The interior and ambiance of the restaurant was very classy and the service was exceptional, as our waiter actually had conversations with us haha. In terms of food, I wish I wasn't full from a previous meal, so I could've tried more. I ordered the Shrimp & Lobster Risotto and it was delicious. It was full of flavor and cooked well. Though I do wish it had more then 3 pieces of shrimp. Besides that, it's a restaurant that's worth the visit. read more

I had heard about this place and wanted to check it out for a while: Came for lunch with a few colleagues and I really enjoyed it! 1. Atmosphere: classy, clean and high. Nothing short of what I expected from the reviews i had regarding this place 2. Food was phenomenal. I licked the platter clean for my lobster & shrimp risotto, which was the chefs special . We had the buratta and calamari to share andnit was great! Especially the calamari was a recommend! They had these friend cherry tomatoes and sliced lemons that were bursting with flavor and surprise. Desserts were amazing as well. The key lime pie, Lindsey's post mortem definitely lived up to it's name with it's decadent traits. The creme brulee was solid as well 3. Service: A++ the waitress we had was amazing, attentive and fast. She was quick to notice to refill our drinks even before we asked for one, she got all our orders to the tee. Over the holiday break, we brought my mother-in-law to Lindsey's for a combo New Year's and Christmas dinner. We haven't been to Lindey's in over 20 years but remember that it's one of the best restaurants in Columbus. Located on German Village, there isn't much street or lot parking. However, Lindey's offers free valet, which we used. The only mishap of the evening is when the valet started to pull off when my mother-in-law was still trying to get out! Anyway, we arrived promptly for our 6 pm reservation (highly suggested) and were promptly seated. Our server greeted us by getting our drink order. I got their ginger and cherry mule, which I thought festive as we were in the holiday season. It was quite good! We also put in an order of the shrimp and calamari, which is a nice shareable. I had the lobster bisque to start while My husband and his mom split a salad. Based on the size of their half portions, I would say the full size is large enough for dinner or can be shared. I opted for the lobster bisque, which was quite tasty and rich. For dinner, I ordered the lobster and shrimp risotto, my husband the lb chops and his mom the seared sea scallops. They both said their dinners were delicious. Mine was good as well, but felt there could have been some more risotto (I was hungry). We finished off the meal by sharing two desserts. We got the apple cinnamon bread pudding and the Lindey's Post Mortem (a hot brownie dessert, which was delicious!). I also got a coffee, which is French pressed. All in all it was a wonderful dinner. Service was excellent and attentive. Lindey's is still a great place for a nice dinner! read more

One of the most beautiful outdoor eating areas I've ever been to. This lovely restaurant in the heart of German Village in Columbus Ohio is a must. The food is delicious elegant and the wine list is nice. Enjoy brunch or lunch or dinner. read more

Lindey's is one of those classic restaurants in Columbus that doesn't disappoint. One of the best places to bring a close friend or client to. The restaurant service is top class. The ambience on the patio feels like a neighborly San Diego wine bistro in the Summer and a Chicago dining room in the Winter. The best part about Lindey's is the "table culture." It's a closed-open shared environment where you often see friends you may not have seen in a while. You might walk up to a table of old friends and reminisce with them momentarily because the restaurant environment and backdrop of German Village seems to support the neighborly ambiance and reinforce the community values of Columbus, Ohio. Note: Lindey's is not really a "networking" environment. There's something more human-natured about Lindey's table culture that's safeguarded. The environment is best approached without an agenda, but in your business casual attire, with the brightest eyes of gratitude for the positive memories you've had in Columbus, the experiences you've shared, and the courage to always show kindness to the friends you might run into who have been with you or in and out if journeys you've shared throughout the years. read more

Absolutely delicious, I especially enjoyed the desserts. The lamb was nice, tender, and juicy. The pasta pictured below, the burrata and the wine were delicious but our service this night was less than ideal. We made reservations on the night of German village lights which we knew it was going to be busy but the lack of service received was insane. The table we sat at seemed to be added that night in order to sit more people but it seemed we didn't have a designated server the entire evening. It took 15 minutes for a drink order even which was taken by the manger, then someone else dropped off the waters, then the server that was responsible the rest of the night seemed to be helping every other table with anything they needed except ours. It was a very disappointing showing from Lindey's. read more

Lindey's is a well-known German Village staple. I had the Nut Crusted Chicken Salad - which normally has bacon on it, but I asked for the bacon to NOT be included - which brings me to the really great point that the Chef and kitchen staff are super helpful with customizing or tailoring your menu selection to better suit your tastes and needs. This place has the look and feel of a high end "fancy" bistro style restaurant, although a little more dated traditional than modern. Smallish brick patio which is great as long as it's not snowing and the back room is a cozier dining experience compared to the front table seating area in the front room with the bar. The front room can get a bit boisterous from time to time. Private dining rooms are available on the second floor for large groups, as well as a small balcony area overlooking the patio. read more

First time in, visiting from CA, kids having recently moved here. Let me get the negative out of the way: no Christmas ambience or cheer. Would have liked something special for the holidays. Ditch that first table and put up a nice tree. Put the revenue of that table aside for December for the sake of your guests. Otherwise, the food, service, and our company were 5 . Our party of 4 sampled several appetizers , entrees, and drinks and were not disappointed. We tacked on happy hour after the meal just to extend our time together and the special drinks and appetizers were a fabulous value with exceptional flavor. Then we added dessert--why not?--and it was very good. We will be back, even for next Christmas if they add the swag. read more

Very mediocre food. I had quiche which was mushy and runny inside and burned on the top. So disappointed because it's a lovely restaurant.

Looking for a date night spot or a place to have a girls night out? Lindey's is the perfect pick! Their patio is absolutely incredible and is worth the wait, as the restaurant takes reservations for inside tables only. Nestled in German Village, Lindey's is an oasis away from the rest of Columbus! They offer valet parking or you can try your luck finding a spot on the street. You have to get a Peach Bellini during your visit, they are frozen to perfection! The first time I visited was only for drinks and dessert, you can't go wrong with anything on their dessert menu. The creme brûlée is especially delicious. This visit I opted to get the Steak Frites and it was honestly one of the best steaks I have ever had. It was seasoned and cooked to perfection. I can't wait to go back again and have another one. Lindey's truly deserves every award they've won as one of the best restaurants in Columbus!! read more

We drove all the way from Cincinnati to have brunch at this place. Stared off with a Burrata which was awesome, but the bread was too hard. I ordered a glass of orange juice and literally received Half glass of juice. I wonder if it is their usual quantity or they forgot to fill the glass for me. I had Quiche for main course and just fell it love with it. This is the first time I'm having Quiche in my life and am glad I had it here. My cousin wants to order a grilled cheese, the server said they can't make it. But the manager (Ajay Verma) was kind enough to agree to make it for us, loved his gesture but the taste of grilled cheese was awful and my cousin had to throw it away as he couldn't eat it. Finally they gave us a complimentary dessert after reminding them several times that we want it as a surprise, but they spoiled the surprise as they couldn't remember to bring it at the right time. They gave us the check before the dessert. This looked very careless on their part as we've informed multiple servers that we're here to celebrate a birthday. But, the Crème Brûlée was FANTASTIC. One of the best desserts I had in my life. A must try. Overall it was a good experience. Would've been great had they been more attentive towards us. read more

We were seated quickly however given a table near the bathrooms where there was a lot of traffic. The restaurant wasn't full yet so it would have been nicer to be seated otherwise. I ordered the tuna tartare which was good but nothing exceptional. I also got the chicken potstickers. The menu mentioned there was artichoke in it but I didn't taste or notice any. They were kind of dry & I ended up using the sauce from the tartare. The coleslaw wasn't great that came with it. Overall it was a very "meh" experience especially for a place that came so highly recommended to us. read more

A local favorite with really good food and decent service. A neighborhood and community favorite that's great for a casual happy hour, date night or a special occasion. Both recent visits had issues. I have several food allergies and while reviewing the dessert menu, several items appeared to contain coconut, which I'm allergic to. I was assured that the peach tart was a safe choice and did not contain any coconut. The tart itself did not but the plate was garnished with and covered in it. Next, I stopped in for a last minute happy hour bite at the bar and was double charged. My card was run and I was told there was an error with the connection. I was told my card was not charged and any authorization would drop off. Instead I paid cash including a very generous tip only to later discover my card was charged also. read more

Great service and food. They made our 24th anniversary special. We were delighted and would happily return

Loved the ambience of this place! Their COVID protocols also made me feel very safe. Their menu is definitely pretty limited, especially for vegetarians. Their drink menu was awesome! We got the potstickers, which were pretty good, not a huge fan. Then we got the salmon (not pictured) which was delicious! I recommend getting a side of the Cajun pasta sauce, it added a nice spice to the salmon and veggies. Then we got the apple croissant dessert which was also very good! We stopped at Lindey's a few years ago while in town on business and we knew we had to return. Last time we sat at the bar which is very tiny and always packed - I had the best French onion soup though! We recently returned to Cbus and made reservations to have dinner in the restaurant. The menu is so interesting with a mix of comfort and creative dishes. We loved the calamari and shrimp appetizer - full of interesting, fresh flavors. The burrata appetizer was also delish - my only small critique is the toast was overly crisped/brittle/hard - I would have liked it a bit less so - was difficult to eat. I had the French onion soup again and it did not disappoint - yum! I ordered the Steak Frites as my main, the steak came perfectly cooked with a small bunch of fresh, simply dressed arugula and a large mound of frites. The frites were bland, not fresh...nothing special - this dish would have been better served/elevated with fondant potatoes or patata bravas. Our server, Jade, was very good, the rest of the staff was attentive too, quietly filling water glasses, removing empty dishes. It was excellent - truly seamless service! We are planning our next meal already - Mother's Day Brunch - Cheers! read more

I had high expectations going into Lindey's due to both reviews and recommendations from friends. It did not disappoint and we were very impressed by the atmosphere (good date night vibe/dressier), the staff was fantastic and fast with taking orders/bringing water-wine-bread, and the entrees were tasty and did not leave you hungry. We both ordered steaks and they were cooked a perfect medium rare and we were impressed by the quality of the meat. The sides of mashed potatoes and asparagus were both good as well. We ordered the brownie and switched to vanilla ice cream instead of the coffee ice cream and it was gone real quick. It was nice and warm and just a great dessert full of chocolate.
