And it isn't always pleasant when first getting started but listen to your therapist and stick with it. It may not totally alleviate the problem, but it arrest a lot of pain, discomfort. After this most recent injury, I was advised to get therapy. I had attended Lattimore Physical Therapy on Culver in 2017 with success, but discovered a new one on Hudson avenue. I called and made arrangements. And I may add the office staff, Michelle and Emily know and do their jobs with precision! Lattimore is a very well run, successful business. It was founded by a husband and wife team, Mr. and Mrs. Shuman, back in 1992 approx.. They have 27 locations in several counties. All of the employees have a good education. I found this clinic to be very unique. They were the most professional and caring Therapist's, very concerned with their patients and how to help them recover. And it was a happy atmosphere. All the therapists knew the patients names, made a point to say hello, asked how you were doing, how was your weekend, etc. And they shared their experiences with you too. They're a warm and friendly group. Another thing that impressed me was if your main therapist was tied up with another patient, the other therapists would immediately intervene and keep things going. Teamwork at its finest! Currently at this Lattimore there were 4 full time therapists. All of them hold "Doctorates" degrees in physical therapy. Lindsey a Co-Owner, *Rachel*, Shannen and Connor. Connor was the newcomer. He joined near the end of my 2 month rehabilitation. No picture yet, but soon. Lattimore is also involved with local colleges and training programs. I think it's safe to say they're scouting to continually to bring in well trained therapists. On a final note,, during my 2 months of rehabilitation, I saw many patients come and go. And during conversation with them, some of these people lived in different towns, had different experiences at other Lattimore's, but had heard good things about this particular Lattimore and chose to come here. He thoroughly explained the possibilities and probability that this was a pinched nerve in a specific area of my spine, in my neck. I used to bring her to her sessions and I could see firsthand the level of attention she was receiving from a staff of workers who seemed one more amazing then the next. I was pleasantly surprised at the kindness that they all had particularly for older patients. I've got a long tale to tell that involves a broken toe (dang that delicious Jamaican rum while on…read moreholiday and I lost track of my foot walking into the door!), that went untreated ... and I rolled my foot to protect it, which led to too much pressure on that side of the foot and a pinched nerve b/w two toes. And then we all came home for the pandemic and I stopped wearing shoes on my wooden floors (no cushioning) AND started doing Barre-exercise (like ballet, up on toes and ball of foot), which made that pinched nerve so aggravated, that I walked funny on my ankle to accommodate. Which led to my calf getting weird b/c of the ankle ... which led to my knee getting weak and sloppy to accommodate the calf and ankle and pinched nerve and now-healed-broken-toe. Then my hip was affected, and next thing you know, the sciatic nerve is involved and I've got lower back pain! HOW DID I FIGURE ALL THIS OUT? you ask ..... and how can I sit here, pain-free, and type what's getting ready to be a glowing review? Why Callan-Harris PT, of course!!!!
