All over sequined dress hemmed and sleeves shortened.

Linda is the best! I came to her needing some very simple alterations to my wedding dress and she was extremely professional and skilled and got the work done quickly! My wedding dress was inexpensive and purchased off the rack, so I didn't want to spend a thousand dollars to tailor a $400 dress. Finding a tailor who is professional and skilled enough to trust with a wedding dress but who also understands the situation I was in was very difficult. Most other bridal tailors I consulted were very dismissive of the fact that I had purchased a $400 dress. Linda was a great listener and she made both my ceremony and reception dresses look great on me. I cannot recommend her enough and I will be returning for other everyday alterations in the future.

Linda was so warm & welcoming and I could tell right off the bat that she was an expert dressmaker. My dress had a lot of detail & needed a lot of work and attention to detail. She worked on my dress for a month and it turned out perfect. I had to get it hemmed, shorten the straps & take in the circumference but she had to remove all the appliqué and reapply which was a lot of work. I would highly recommend going there if you have any alterations for wedding gowns.

Linda was very upfront about my dress and how it was going to be altered. She was also very sweet and accommodating. I had no fear that my dress would come out amazing, it's all because of Linda. Thank you.

Linda and her team of expert seamstresses, provide a full range of alteration services, including bridal alterations, formal alterations, casual alterations, and custom-handmade accessories. The in-house tailors at Linda's Couture have a combined 25+ years of experience in the field. She is fully equipped with the skill set and supports to handle even the most delicate fabrics like lace, satin, tulle, chiffon, and organza. I had two wedding gowns that needed altering. Her service included everything from minor adjustments to straps to complete transformations of busts and trains on my wedding dresses. Both dresses were tailored to perfection using top-quality machines and expert craftsmanship. Linda and her team treat every project with the same level of professionalism, respect, and care. They have the experience and confidence to tackle your garments, no matter how big or small the job may be. She gave me peace of mind knowing I'm getting the best value, top-notch service, and unmatched customer assistance.

Thank you so much for fixing my dress and making me feel like a gorgeous bride!

Simply the best. After the wedding dress store (which I will not name), ordered the wrong size wedding dress for me, they immediately sent me to Linda. Needless to say, I was a bit disappointed but Linda has a level of experience that could calm a hurricane. When I picked up the dress two weeks later, it fit perfectly. She took a dress that was 4 sizes too large, completely took it apart and custom fit it to my frame. Linda is professional, kind, and a genius at what she does. If you have any serious alterations, take them to Linda. I'm not sure I would trust anyone else. Thank you so much, Linda!!

It features a purposefully crinkly texture, and the blend is an odd one. Doing some research, I've noticed both of the fabrics for the jacket require specific care to avoid damage or shrinkage. The liner also features viscose which is also susceptible to shrinkage. And it had that used clothing stench combined with some body odor from the prior owner in the pits area. The dress shirt had a few stains around the collar but some fabric ironing spray stains from a hotel stay. Suffice it to say, both items were needing some TLC but need the right TLC. I gave this spot a go because of the reviews and hoped that they'd accept both items but also handle them with the necessary care. I made a big point about the blend when dropping off, and the guy at the counter kindly took it and asked the cleaner what they could do. After a quick evaluation and pricing, I felt pretty confident they'd do the job. And voila! Not only were both items cleaned of any smell and stains, but they came back in like - new condition. The velvet / velour jacket retained its unique properties while also feeling 10x more soft than when I dropped it off. And the dress shirt was saved from what I feared were unsalvageable stains. They also had the items ready in a little less than 24 hours. It was one the pricier side, but not as crazy as some other spots I checked out. Highly recommend if you have any cherished (but delicate) items you want clean without the worry of them being damaged.

I had lost a bit of weight and the fit was completely off. The dress looked boxy and frumpy, and I honestly started to panic. Thankfully, I found Lina--the amazing owner of Alterations Et Al in West Hollywood. I reached out and she invited me to bring the dress in to see what could be done. She was so warm, kind, and professional--and even with the tight turnaround, she agreed to take on the rush job. The dress needed a lot of work, but when I picked it up, it fit like a glove. It looked flawless and felt like it had been custom-made for me. Lina is not only incredibly talented, but also fast, detail-oriented, and just lovely to work with. So many people told me I looked beautiful that night--and a few even said I was one of the best dressed. That's 100% thanks to Lina's amazing work. She truly saved the day, and I'll be forever grateful. (Sharing a few pics here so you can see her magic!)

On Monday I started calling to see if they could ship my dress to me (I had last minute travel to Arizona). Every time I called they asked for my name and number and said they would call me back to let me know. I called almost every day that week after my dress was supposed to be ready until finally I decided to send my friend over to just pick it up for me and ship it himself. When he arrived, he was told the dress was not ready. He said they had a question for me before he could start. Mind you, I had called every day- giving them my information, and nobody had any questions for me, and nobody told me my dress hadn't been started. And nobody tried to call me to ask questions. They were waiting for me to show up to pick the dress up to tell me they hadn't started. Unbelievable! At this point, it's about 1 week before the wedding. The owner apologized to me and said they would have it done by Sunday (this was Friday night) and would ship it to me overnight so I would have it by Tuesday for the wedding on Friday. It was shipped a day later than that, so I didn't receive the dress until Thursday! I had to wait in AZ (extending my trip) until it came and missed the rehearsal dinner & welcome party. You guys, this dress was SO simple. It ended up being tight on my body and loose on top so my boobs were a problem the entire time. I've never had an experience like this where something that is normally so easy and simple became an absolute nightmare. Bill ended up being $130. $75 for dress +shipping

That changed with my most recent suit. The alterations were objectively bad. The jacket was visibly lopsided: one sleeve was about an inch longer than the other, one side of the jacket hadn't been taken in at all, and the pants were tapered far too tight. To make matters worse, the elbow seam hadn't even been sewn properly. I had already paid, so when I pointed all this out, I was told to bring the suit back and they'd "take care of it." Fine. Mistakes happen--what matters is how they're handled. When I picked up the suit after the supposed fixes, I was charged again for correcting their own mistakes. That's the real issue here. They do not stand behind their work. If the outcome is wrong, the responsibility is pushed back onto the customer. That's poor craftsmanship paired with poor ethics. You don't pay for an attempt--you pay for a finished result. If a tailor won't honor the quality of their own work, that's a red flag. I'd strongly recommend finding another tailor, and explicitly asking upfront whether they stand behind their alterations. These guys do not.
