Poor scheduling and communication from Ottawa Honda Service…read more My car wouldn't start due to an ignition key cylinder issue. I had it towed in the day before my Wednesday appointment to give them a full extra day. By Wednesday afternoon, no call. I reached out and learned they were running behind because 4 jobs had carried over from the previous day. I rented a car, expecting mine back Wednesday or Thursday. Thursday: they diagnosed it and said parts would arrive Friday. Friday: Vicki in service told me parts were in, but they couldn't schedule a technician for the key coding--even though they had someone for the install. No guarantee of Friday completion. I extended my rental to Monday. Monday: still no guarantee, but they did finish. When I picked up the car, Vicki wasn't there. I asked two staff members about the delays. One said she didn't know; a male colleague chimed in that they were "waiting for parts." I pointed out that Vicki had confirmed parts were there on Friday. He had no reply. I said I'd write a review instead of waiting for a callback--and neither staff member seemed surprised. That lack of surprise tells me this is routine for Ottawa Honda's service department. So here's my question: if a dealer's service department can't schedule properly, doesn't apologize for repeated delays, and gives conflicting excuses when confronted--should you trust them with your car?

Given that my vehicle is still under warranty, I was informed after a 2.5 hours diagnostic period that the issue was a loose bolt in battery, when i went to work iexperienced recurring beeping and sparking. This is a safety issue this shouldn't take it lightly. I will no longer be utilizing the services of this dealership. Now every time I park my car I have to disconnect the battery which is unacceptable for the car under warranty. UPDATE JUNE 17TH 2026. I TOOK IT TO DEFFERENT HONDA DILERSHIP AND THEY DIAGNOSED WITHIN 30 MIN. IT'S A MULTIPLEX SMART MODULE PROBLEM. OTTAWA HONDA SHOULD HIRE MORE PROFESSIONAL AND EXPERIENCED MECHANICS.

They were (and still are) the closest Toyota dealership to me, and I had to take my car to a dealership when I got all those manufacturer's recall notices, right? For those first 5 years I found the staff rude and condescending. But then I noticed a change and for the last 10 years or so, I have only had good experiences at Tony Graham. I did notice that the rude and condescending staff no longer work there. Good riddance! Less than 10 years ago I bought a car at Tony Graham and it was a good experience. I knew exactly what I wanted and how much I was willing to pay. No pressure tactics, no games, it was quick and easy. I've brought my car there for several manufacturer's recalls, I bought my snow tires there (admittedly more expensive than non-dealership shops, but service is good here and they come across as more professional than some places I've been to with my friends), and most recently I got my tires changed there. Admittedly, I don't go to Tony Graham often because my dad, although not a professional, is knowledgable when it comes to cars and does all the routine maintenance for me like oil changes, swapping out winter/all seasons tires, even replacement of brakes. However, most recently he was unable to change my winter tires for me so I went to Tony Graham and had an excellent experience. We were (and still are) in the midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic. They had good safety protocols. I had an appointment that I made several weeks prior. I got reminder emails and texts of my appointment. I dropped off my car and they Ubered me to work free of charge (they usually have a courtesy shuttle service but it is not running due to the Pandemic). When my car was ready they called me. They were willing to Uber me to the dealership but I got one of my friends/colleagues to drive me there instead. They gave my car a complimentary car wash (they had asked me if that was ok when I dropped off the car. You want to wash my filthy car for free? Heck yes and thank you! Lol). The technician noted that there was too much anti-seize on all wheel studs and that was unsafe (oops, Daddy was too zealous with the anti-seize I guess, hehe) and they wiped the excess off. Thank you Toyota technician! What great service! Everyone I interacted with was super nice from the advisor who took my car initially to the staff who finished the transaction with me. The changing of winter tires to all seasons tires cost me $49.99. Their self-serve coffee/tea section is currently closed due to the Pandemic but in normal times they have a Van Houtte drinks machine and the French Vanilla drink is great, lol. Once upon a time they had a small cafe with some pastries and lunch items, but that closed a few years ago when they renovated. Their waiting room is nice and their washrooms are clean. I have a much more favourable opinion of Tony Graham now than I did over 10 years ago.

Almost six months ago, I ordered a Toyota RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV). I provided Parvir the build link from their website which shows the exact model I wanted and put $500 down for the order. In July, I received an update stating that the car should arrive between September 16-26. Everything looked good for the moment. August 16 I reached out asking for the VIN number or at least the more accurate date of the delivery. That was the day I got introduced to their AI assistant, "Emma". Unfortunately, the AI was quite a frustration. It constantly sent unnecessary texts, first mentioning the wrong car (2025 XLE instead of the 2026 XSE). It included information in its responses I had told it about their people and it though I meant me (I told them they didn't have to worry about working outside of their hours which a few messages later it said that "don't worry about responding outside our hours") On September 22, I visited the dealership and was told my vehicle had arrived. I was asked to wire my down payment immediately so I could take delivery within a few days, which I did. The next day, I got the bill of sale and saw that $2,500 government rebate for plug-in hybrids was not included. When I asked about it, I was told that the rebate was applicable to plug-in hybrids, but I had ordered a regular hybrid. I provided the proof which included both the original email and link to the build on their website and the credit application which listed the car as a plug in hybrid the dealership did admit it was their mistake. Their solution? A $500 discount on an additional $2500 rust-proofing package. I was also told it could be several more months before the correct vehicle would arrive. Because I had been repeatedly told my vehicle was arriving and was even told it was on-site and nearly ready for pickup, I had already booked a non-refundable trip. I asked for a loaner or for them to cover a rental due to their error. They refused both. At that point, I decided to cancel the order entirely. The most frustrating part is that after nearly six months of waiting, I would have had my vehicle by now if the correct one had been ordered in the first place. Since I had to cancel my order they messaged me a few times. Originally inquiring about other cars again. Then telling me a manager would call me to discuss their failures. That was a week ago and several messages assuring me a manager would call. No call. At every turn they have failed and let me down. I cant recommend a place less than here.

Long story short, after countless hours of research and failed dealership trips, we walked out with a great deal, an amazing car and excellent service! We have had the Car serviced there for 2 years now and we have had zero complaints. Just this week, we went back and Jessy helped me make the purchase of a second car.
