If this happened to a family member or friend, would you offer the same excuse? It's disappointing…read moreto hear that you think those cracks are acceptable. I waited 2 years and 4 months to bring to your attention because I knew that you would only offer excuses because that was how you handled the first large crack that I told you about. I also knew that the only remedy would be to completely tear out the new cement, destroying my new backyard, and then pouring concrete again. Another mess to clean up after your crew. These cracks are because Clifford initially placed the footings in the wrong location. He didn't listen to the paying client, and he had to re-position them. Rather than discussing any potential issues that might arise from repositioning them, or properly moving them to prevent this issue, he just moved them. The cracks are a result. I also figured if I have to look at these failures, so should you, and any potential consumer that is shopping for a cement contractor. When these cracks become a tripping hazard, as they quickly are, I will find a professional cement contractor to fix what your company has installed. CONSUMER BEWARE: Upfront friendly, quick response, and competitive pricing...if conflict or issues arise, don't expect resolution, expect excuses. Expect rudeness and unprofessionalism. Once the bill has been paid, you're on your own. This has been my honest experience.

I am writing this review regarding Daniel Medina Concrete and Masonry…read more I was in need of a concrete slab to build some storage sheds on. I had a section of my yard that was mostly dirt and weeds. Since I am not too familiar with Concrete in general, I decided to seek help and my brother referred me to Danny Medina. I currently live in Granada hills, CA which is about 45 mins away from Palmdale which is his base of operations. He came out and asset the area and gave me advice regarding how the lay of the land was and what would be needed to complete the project. He wasn't pushy or anything and very professional and gave me a breakdown of what is needed and estimate cost. We kept him in mind and got other contractors to come out, and his was the best deal and most informed. these other ones seemed to try to cut corners and we didn't like that at all. Danny was the most upfront and didn't sugarcoat anything or tried to push the sale, he was very patient with all our questions and answered everything we needed. The work took about 2 days to complete. We had roughly 500 square feet to fill and He came out with his team and the job came out very professional and spot on. I am the kind of person who likes to be informed and he was there to answer any question I had even while it was happening, Which i really appreciated. He did not keep me in the dark and always let me know what was going on. What I liked about this company is they are old fashioned, and what I mean by that is they let their work speak for itself. They don't hype it up nor do they try and sell it. they just do the work and are professional and courteous. Something you don't see now a days. They mostly work by word of mouth but I just had to put them out there because they are seriously one of those companies that are a gem and shouldn't be hid from the world =) They do Concrete and brick work and alot of other things. I would give them a call and have referred them to family as well as friends who needed a honest company to deal with.

What set GFA apart regardless of pricing was George's vision for our backyard. He approaches every job with an eye for how he would want his own house to look. George believes in doing business the old fashioned way, hand shakes, his word, pride, and integrity. He backs it up in writing. Georges's crew did an excellent job on our project. They demo'd an old DIY concrete staircase and planter wall and replaced with new stairs, columns and small plantar block wall.

Project manager Josef was excellent in bringing in his partners (designers, foreman, etc.) to ensure from the design to finish we were collaborating and satisfied with the end result. For the garage, we had it drywalled (no insulation), installation of a attic ladder (bought from Home Depot) to make use of a pre-built storage area, updated garage door and exterior lighting. Front yard included adding extra pavement to be able to park two cars on the driveway (we have the pre WW II one car driveway) but looks like a part of the front yard design, installation of artificial grass (YAY), redo of the front porch to include redoing the porch ceiling with a bare wood look, and installation of a pathway to the front steps. We had 3 home improvement projects in the last couple of years (including this project) and WTG Builders was the best in terms of responsiveness, communication, and setting expectations. Perhaps I'm more wiser too about projects but I appreciated Project Manager Josef's communication and updates and the various trade teams were fantastic. I also took into consideration their work in the local Long Beach/Lakewood area which I think is important. I would use them again and recommend them for similar projects!

What impressed me most was his willingness to make sure I understood exactly what was included, how potential issues would be handled, and what responsibilities belonged to each party. After spending a long time dealing with a complicated construction project, that kind of organization and responsiveness was especially refreshing. Based on my experience with Jeramie and the way Concrete Etc. handled the estimating and planning process, I would not hesitate to recommend giving them serious consideration for a concrete project.
