The food was ok, I didn't have to spit out any guk into a napkin. It was good that they have real china, as many chinese buffets now only offer foam. Dishes were reasonably warm. Hot and sour soup ok. The tables and food areas were clean. The back hall area and bathroom, less so. The truly gross state of the faucet, in an area customers would see, led me to wonder just what the standards of cleanliness are in the kitchen. I was really hoping to like this place. Although my Lo Mein chicken tasted good- it did not agree with my stomach. My husband had the General Tso. It was not spicy at all, and the quality was not up to his liking. His meal also did not agree with his stomach. We got our meals to go, and ate them immediately as we got home, 10 minutes after pick up. Really disappointed as we were looking for a Chinese place close to our home. read more

Don't judge a book by its cover from the outside the restaurant doesn't stand out inside is a different story very nice very clean and The food was good, the service was very good. I really enjoyed our meal here! Everything was really good. Wish I knew how they made the tomatoes on the salad bar! So good with some heat. The choices were all good. I love the salmon. Weird but the wings were crisp and tender! Don't think they had brown rice which is usually my first choice but then everything was good and it's not like they were a healthy restaurant. This was a difficult review. I have a lot of problems with this restaurant. Could be cleaner. Very small children of the staff running around touching food and utensils on the steam tables. Loud, crying etc... Hard to communicate with a few non-english-speaking staff. My problem? The food is very good. Period. read more

Very good selection of food. Like most Chinese buffets some of the food is fabulous, some I chose not to even try. Service was excellent, our drinks were brought to us in a very timely manner and the empty dishes were cleared out of our way in short order as well. We will definitely go back, as $10.99 is a decent price for a lunch buffet. To wrap this up, I have to say as Chinese buffets go, this one is pretty typical if that's what you're in the mood for. read more

Our mistake going there and hour before closing Sunday night. Nothing in the trays were fresh at that time of night. No reason to even try considering they are closed on Monday. RATS. I couldn't believe it. I sat down with my first plate of food and was finishing my first wonton. I was talking to my dad and watched a huge rat run across the ceiling behind his head.. Not only that but the food was cold and had been sitting. I regretted eating the wonton and will never be back. The Lin Garden is not a sushi place. Yes, you can get some rolls an nigiri here on the buffet, but it is not the place to go for great sushi. This place (and I've been here more times than I should have) is for Chinese buffet items like fried rice, steamed rice, General Tso's chicken, spicy beef, broccoli and beef, noodles, dumplings, egg roll, soup, wonton, etc. all you can eat at a fair price. It could be cleaner and they could rotate the food more. Tastes ok, but there is better out there, just not in Inverness. I've enjoyed the times I've been there, but it's a place to fill a hungry stomach. It is not a place to go if you are looking for more than that. read more

I've been trying to find good crab Rangoons in Florida for a while now and finally have.

Were from Atlanta, first tome. It's a buffet place (big). They have some pretty good food. "Most" of the food are fresh even though it was after lunch hour. Mom loved her ribs, auntie loved her crab salad. I loved the desserts. Atmosphere was quiet, customer service was good & friendly. Well probably come back if we're in town. read more

The place is a dump. Stained, worn carpets. Torn and broken bench seats. Dirty silverware. Broken air conditioner. Rude employees or they don't understand a word you say. Food choices have dwindled to pretty much fried rice, lo mein noodles, fried chicken, old grey dried out roast, food sitting in pans getting cold and crusty. Prices keep going up but they keep removing meat items and adding french fries or another vegetable item. I used to like coming here years ago and I keep trying to stop in about once every 2 or 3 months and each time it's much worse. My husband and I moved from Maine a year ago. The Chinese food there is no comparison to the buffet or menu items at the Lin Garden II. I was raised in N.Y. and I have to admit, the food at this restaurant is equal to the best food where I grew up. Lin Garden II is very clean, great atmosphere, and the best service. I can not express how pleased my husband and I are to have found this place. Every friend we brought there became "regulars" after only one visit. They also have a room where you can have large parties and believe me, no one would be disappointed with the wide the array of food. There is sea food available and their prime rib is just to die for. The sushi assortment is astonishing and is a meal in itself. I just can not say enough great things about this Chinese Restaurant! I totally urge you to try this place out, even if you don't like Chinese food. I promise you will walk out of there full, happy and totally content. read more

Food is good but if you order the take out buffet wahch that you dont get overcharged I ordered the buffet take out at $4.50 per pound I filled my box and brought it to the register she weighed it and told me it cost $13.00 I thought that was to much for the amount of food I bought but did not question it when I got home I weighed it on my postal scale and it only weighed 2.3 pounds which should have been under $10.00, the food is good but if they are going to rip off there customers I wont return, if you get the take out keep an eye on the scale so you dont get ripped off, its a shame that they do this to there customers because the food is good but I wont return to a place that rips off there customers. read more

Not trying to leave a bad review. I enjoyed the flavors of the food. The egg foo young and the steamed dumplings were so good! Chicken on a stick was good too. The pork ribs, wings, and the crab Rangoon in the poo poo platter for two were entirely too hard. Could barely chew and ended up giving my dog the other pork rib. But at least it wasn't hard and stale like the Fortuner Chinese restaurant. The wonton soup was okay but where was the meat inside the wontons? Where was the meat strips in the broth? This restaurant just opened up and replaced a Chinese restaurant that had been there for probably 10 years. It is newly remodeled and looks totally different than before. Everything is very clean, the buffet tables sparkle and the food is very fresh. It has the typical Chinese buffet food. Lunch is served until 3PM and is only $7.99 all you can eat. They also offer seniors over 65 a 10% discount. The hostess and the wait people are not very friendly, not sure I saw a smile anywhere. Service at the present is just mediocre. A dinner buffet is also served, but since I have yet to go do not have the price. You can also order from a menu if you so desire and priced accordingly. Really good Chinese food with lots of variety. Very fresh, includes a hibachi bar and a sushi bar. It's about 5 minutes from the house so it's a go to when we are craving some Chinese food. It was a little pricey though and the staff was more occupied on getting the silverware wrapped than getting us a new drink when it was empty for about 10 minutes. Other than that the food is excellent and I recommend to anyone in the Inverness area who wants some Chinese food. read more

This was the worst Chinese buffet I think I've ever been to. I put pictures on Facebook of the Flies they kept landing on my nappkin and silverware. The stuffed shrimp as well as the stuffed mushroom caps were sitting in an inch of a straight oil. The salmon which was so overcooked the ends were curling up out of the pan was sitting in an inch of straight oil. Some barbecue beef that I tried was so over cooked it was hard on the outside. Sweet and sour chicken was extremely overcooked and soaked in oil. The spinach with cheese look like it had been sitting there for hours. The coconut shrimp was drowning in mayo...The Sushi was room temperature... I would never suggest anyone go there and I just moved here from out of town I was really disappointed I drove 17 miles to go here read more

Very good, the Hibachi in the back is to die for. make sure you go around busy time just like normal buffets if it is slow sometimes the food gets old. the people are very friendly and sweet if you ask for something they will get it and fix the problem right away. read more

I will give them a point for cleanliness. That is all though. They remodeled and its dark and drab. Their food is ok, not great and their service is terrible. Never a smile, and both times we went there waitresses walked right past us several times as we sat and waited several minutes for someone to take our drink order.
