I decided to give it another try and ordered the house special fried rice to go. Everything was fine, but nothing really stood out or made me want to rush back. I've heard some really good reviews about this place, so maybe I just had different expectations. I have to admit, I'm also comparing it to the Chinese food I'm used to getting up North. I truly miss that style of Chinese food--and even the pizza! There's just something about the flavors and quality that I haven't been able to find here. Spring Hill has quite a few Chinese food options, but in my opinion, the quality just isn't the same as what I was used to up North. There are plenty of choices, but finding one that really stands out can be a challenge. Overall, Double Yummy is an okay Chinese restaurant. Nothing was bad about my experience, but nothing was particularly memorable either. I may try something different next time, but for now, I'm still searching for that Chinese food that reminds me of home.

I'm a creature of habit, and my usual order is the Roast Pork Egg Foo Young Combination, which comes with Pork Fried Rice and an Egg Roll. The portions are generous, the ingredients are always fresh, and the flavors are spot on every time. I've had this dish at countless restaurants across the country during my work travels, and China 1 remains my favorite spot to get it. If you're in the area and craving quality Chinese takeout, you won't find a better place. Great food, great people, and a level of consistency that keeps me coming back.
