Not sure who Dr. Lin has hired for his reception when it's an after-hours call, but the young man who spoke to me was very rude and hung up on me. When I called back, he made fun of me, laughed at me, and kept insulting me. I had just had a minor emergency and was already on-edge and he came at me with "stop being hysterical" when all I did was ask to be put through to Dr. Lin. Eventually I was able to talk to Dr. Lin himself, who didn't seem bothered when I told him what had gone on with his receptionist. Traumatizing experience after I had already gone through something else traumatizing... Not the environment you want when you're trying to get help from a doctor. I'm very disappointed with Dr Lin. I'm a visitor and had Shingles and very painful. In and out only took 5min. U can took ur medicine from CVS. If u don't work out see u after 2 weeks. That's. No any recommend for anti-itch cream or any pain killer. Or recommend any food can't eat. I have to google to Research all the information. Really. What's the point to see him. Dr. Lin is a caring and hardworking internal medicine / family practice doctor who keeps slots available for short-notice appointments and has Saturday hours (now Zoom only). He's in an HMO, takes cash, does immigration health exams, and his office fee is relatively inexpensive. The office is in a multi-unit medical building with lots of free parking and an elevator. But his accent / manner of speaking makes him sound curt, and he's very busy (usually runs late, though not so much as pre-COVID), and to fit all the appointments in, he has to work on his laptop while talking to the patient, which adds to the impression that he's unfeeling or not listening. His office staff are business-like in person, but on the phone they speak so fast in such heavy accents that it's hard to understand them, and since they don't answer during the lunch hour or after 4, it can be a real hassle to get a prescription renewal or make an appointment. read more

The service is poor, the office personnel is rude and not helpful. I needed to get a medical check for immigration paperwork required by the USCIS (form I-693). The office refused to tell me the lab work and immunizations I needed. I wanted to get a list of items I could get done through Kaiser since I have my insurance there. The quote they gave me was $150-500 and refused to explain why there was such a big range in cost. If you are looking for immigration paperwork I recommend either the office of Dr. Inna Yaskin or Joyce Tatelman, both of them were very helpful in explaining the process and cost. read more

If you chose this clinic to do green card health check, you made a big mistake, here is what I experienced: About 5 months ago, I went there to do the health check, I was told that the fee I paid includes everything (blood test, X ray etc.). So I paid and went home. However, after a month or so, I received a letter from health diagnostic (mountain view) to ask me pay the X ray service, this is different from what heard initially at the clinic. So I called back Andrew Lin's office and asked about it, they told me this is easily solved by calling a person named Rehat. Then I went ahead and called her, she promised that I did pay and will be removed from their billing system soon. Then after another month or so, I received the second billing notice, had to call Rehat again, again that time she promised that everything will be good soon. So I waited. After another month or so, I received the final billing notice, I am not very happy about that, but has no other way to do but call this Rehat again. Again, she assured me this time, I saved all our message communication as a record, I felt that this shall be solved this time since there are so many back and forth already! Guess what? Last Saturday I received a notice from money collection company saying that my credit score will be ruined if I did not pay. So I called this Rehat again, she said this is such a small issue and they are working on it, I don't know whether I can trust her any more! On this Monday she said she will give me another phone number that I could call, but she never give it to me, I called her this morning but she no longer answered phone. This is holiday season and my life is partially ruined by this experience during the past 5 months. I am ready to pay the X-ray again since I do not wanna see my credit score ruined just because of this! But keep in mind that I shall not be responsible for it and all the unpleasant experience through the past 5 month there will be no apology from anywhere. If I knew this, I would never have been to this clinic! read more

I have been seeing Dr. Lin for my entire adult life. Only because he took over Dr. Yang's practice. Was happy to find a doctor that I could grow old with. He's competent enough, but as with others here, the front office staff is the worst possible. Calling them women would be an insult to the gender. These girls lack any professionalism or tact of being in the medical field. It's a complete process and having a doctor that's great with a sub-par staff leaves the experience lacking!! CASH ONLY NO WALKINS - after 11 am OFFICE CLOSED FOR LUNCH EVERYDAY: 12:00 - 1:30 pm When I called to make an appointment, I asked if they were taking new patients. They said yes and made my appointment for Friday, October 23. They said to make sure I brought my insurance card. No problem, I made sure to get there 10 minutes before my appointment to fill out the necessary paperwork and give them my insurance card. After waiting for 15 minutes, the receptionist called me to the front desk to let me know I had a $40 copay, so I handed her my HSA card. She said they don't take HSA and it's cash only. OK so when I got there I saw all these signs in various languages that it was cash only for people who do not have insurance. However, if this was the policy, they should have told me when I made the appointment. How would I know it's cash only? Anyway, she was very nice and suggested that I go to CVS to use the ATM. Since I only had an hour for this appointment, I canceled the appointment. I prefer to go to use the health credit card since that money is set aside for medical payments. read more

Worst doctor and front desk ever!!! The front desk always send bill with wrong code to insurance company, so I need to call them again and again. And for every single call, they asked me to hold on which takes forever! The doctor never show up for blood pressure check. And they never respect appointment time. read more

Reasonable amount - Of course, some patients expect highly personal service. I recommend that patients go with a set of prepared questions. My first consultation with Dr. Lin went so well that I left the office thinking that I had found a very good doctor. A few days later, I received a letter from him (or his office) saying that he is terminating his services to me, on the ground that my health situation is complex and so he is not a good fit. My health situation is not complex. The real issue, AFAIK, is that I carry weapons (knife, pepper spray) and a voice recorder. It is also possible that the real issue is that I wear a MAGA hat. Normally, when I see a doctor or lawyer, I just declare my weapons and leave them with the receptionist. I tried for a year to work with my health plan and with Dr. Lin's office to eliminate the issue, with no effect. Bottom line: He dealt with me untruthfully and unreasonably refused to give me needed medical care. Weapons are of course a security issue for any business. But he did not handle the issue professionally or reasonably. read more

I was a patient of Dr. Lin and the reason I switch is because of his office staff. There are 3 women that ran the office and all 3 of them are rude, and ill manner. They are completely un-professional, they would not help you with any insurance questions, or even be on time to open the office @ the first appointment. And when they are asking you info on your record, they talks so loud that most of the people in the office knows your business. I think those women have very unhappy lives and its show. read more

Have been going to Dr Andrew Lin for most of my adult life. He's very capable of been a good MD, he's compedent but has absolutely no bedside manner, and tends to rush through your appointments. If you're the type of person that likes to know exactly what's going on with your body and the problems you're having (like me) he's not for you. I was in ER last week and after a huge ordeal with my primary care Doctor giving me an appointment while my Doctor was out of the country I was sent to Dr. Lin. I was 100% less then pleased he was rude, very short with me, and spoke over me as if anything I had to say was an inconvenience to him. I have never in my life met such a terrible medical professional. Thank goodness he sent me to someone else, I would have lost my mind having to deal with him. I brought my mum to see this Idiot and he did not even bother to examine and just said that "Don't worry it will recover soon" and just prescribed some medicine. I just can't go back there again. I never heard from Dr. Lin's "staff" after any lab work I had to call to get the results and if medication was warranted, I made the appointment to get the prescription.. The "staff "of 3 girls lost the results of the stool test and were nonapologetic and treated it like "Oh well"! No offer to call the lab and have them re-send or fax over results--nothing, nada, ziltch! And when I was having serious side effects from a new medication, they waited four days to give me an appt. They won't even make the appointment unless you pay first. These girls are making life/death decisions without any knowledge or even any pretense of being any kind of a professional! . read more

I use Dr. Andrew Lin as an alternate doctor to help me with common problems, sickness or vaccines. He is very skilled and his vaccine shots are quick and painless. You won't feel the needle. If you need a more thorough check up, go to a larger practice say, once a year. With Dr. Lin, you can walk in and out anytime without an appointment. He will make the effort to see you. He is great for older chinese-speaking patients and will spend a good amount of time with them. He is very busy in the mornings. read more

I have been going to Dr Andrew Lin for a year and recently switched. He might be knowledgeable but how is that gonna help me if he doesn't spend time discussing my conditions? During the 2 minutes he's with you, he'd talk more about his son's new apple laptop than your problem. I also agree that his office staff are unprofessional.
