I have to give 3 stars out of 5 for my experience with Fire Dawgs, however if I could give 10 out…read moreof 10 stars for the actual gentlemen who came to the job, I would. They were very polite, friendly, hardworking and apologetic. Now my reasoning for the 3 stars. I scheduled my pick up online the week before for a Thursday pickup. I had a follow up phone call from a AI representative, which was a very frustrating experience. Also, I had a follow up text from Alex, who said he was the president. He confirmed the appointment and asked me to send photos of what needed to be picked up, so they knew how to plan for my pickup. I sent at least 15 photos of several pieces of large furniture and other items. This was for a clean out of my father's house. I had cleaners coming the following day and need everything out for them. I also had our realtor coming on the following Monday to take photos, I also would be returning to my home in Columbus, Ohio (my father's house is in Indiana). Fast forward to the day of my appointment. My scheduled window time was 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. I received a phone call around 3:00 p.m. from the actual hauler saying they were at least 2 hours behind and that I would get another call when they were on their way. They finally made it to my house around 6:30 p.m. I showed them everything it the house that needed to be taken and they told me they wouldn't be able to take it all that day. They were never shown the pictures I sent and they were overbooked on jobs to complete in one day. The dump was already closed and they were only able to take what they had room for in their truck, which they came already at least 1/2 full. They called for another driver to come and he had a little bit of space in his truck, but it was already mostly full. Initially they said they could come back first thing in the morning, but after talking with their manager, they said they wouldn't be able to come back until Monday morning. Well, I had cleaners coming at 9:00 a.m. the day after the appointment that I could not reschedule, so that meant I had to clean up after that. Also, I had to reschedule my realtor for Wednesday instead of Monday. Soooo, Monday was scheduled for the 10:30-1:30 p.m. time slot. Fast forward to Monday, the crew did not show up until around 4:30 p.m. The truck was already partially filled with someone else items. They couldn't load and dump and return because, again, the dump is only open until 5:00 p.m. So they loaded up as much as they could in the truck, took it to their warehouse and returned for a second load. They still couldn't get everything on the second load, so they had to come the next day for a third time. They showed up on time that day and finally took everything. Shout out to Isaiah who did what he could. I ended up missing 2 more days of work for this and spent a fortune on it. *** If you are the owner or manager of Fire Dawgs please reevaluate how you are scheduling your employees for pick ups. It is very disrespectful to the client's time and also very hard on the employees as they are very overbooked and overworked.***

From the initial consultation to the finished product, Rob made suggestions, helped solve problems, and made everything that we needed happen. They cleaned up the messes made at the end of each day. Rob came in under budget and well within the time frame given for completion. He even started right on time! I love Black Lumber. Love, love, love…read more The staff's great, and it's really convenient (just south of Hillside) for those of us who live in town. A lot of Black's business is from contractors, and that's how I started going here (a couple guys I know work with them). But they're pleasant to regular retail customers too, and they have a good selection for basic hardware needs, as well as lumber and other building materials. Black also does cabinetry and sells some appliances (like kitchen hoods). One thing to know is that Black is part of the Do It Best distribution network. Actually, my only complaint is related to that. I sometimes buy yard/garden supplies here and have been disappointed by crappy plastic imports from China on a couple of occasions. But Black was nice about a return I made, so I can't get too irritated. For the ladies out there, this is the most woman-friendly hardware place in town. Women work the floor sometimes. Also, the staff is nice to kids.

(I got quotes from 2 other companies) I asked about a programable thermostat installation and Chad looked at the time (probably b/c he didn't want to be late to his next appointment) and after looking at my current device, told me he had what I need on his truck and told me the cost. Again I felt it was a reasonable since i'd been researching online. There was a noticeable positive difference in how quickly the system cooled my home after his visit. Today when I noticed it was 77 degrees in the house I called and got voice mail. Chad returned my call in about 40 minutes and recalled his visit a year ago. He asked my address and was here within 10 minutes. (I had thought I'd have to wait until the next day b/c it was 3 PM)Half an hour later he had replaced a small part and explained why. Again at a reasonable price. I thanked him and told him I'd schedule a furnace "check up" this fall. I wish he did roofing and plumbing too. Bottom line, GREAT experiences. btw, I don't live in San Francisco, I use a VPN and I guess it indicated to yelp the wrong location. I live in Bloomington, IN.
