We wanted a new door, but really appreciate that Overhead Door shared another solution to our problem that would've been much cheaper. Installation was great and very professional. Whether you are on a budget or want something really high end, they'll take care of you. For my last job I had the basic screen doors put in, and I love them! They have a hidden screen, so you can have it be all glass, or slide down a panel in nice weather and let the breeze in. Even though I went with the base options, they still handled the job thoroughly. Everything looks great. They are also fantastic at handling questions that might come up after. If a small issue is noticed that might need to be looked at, they are responsive and will follow up with you. I see one or two reviews mentioning service time. During certain times of the year, home improvement companies have to schedule way out. Whether it's roofs or windows or whatever. Parts have to be ordered, jobs are dependent on the weather.. ignore those. These guys are professional and first class.

The installation did happen a few weeks later than we originally thought it would, but that was likely due to a miscommunication, and does not change our opinion that Tommy D's is first rate. Chris and Bill arrived this morning, on time, in the snow and did a fantastic job installing six new high efficiency windows on our front porch. Watching these guys work, you can see that they are knowledgeable and care about the workmanship that they put into the job. The final result is beautiful. They also took the time to show us how to use the hinges on the windows so that you can clean the outside of the window from inside the house. Terrific work, friendly and skilled workmen, a beautiful high efficiency product. AND a local company. Very happy we chose Tommy D's.

Recently we had a big exterior renovation job done by a highly recommended local contractor that went south very quickly. Needless to say we were very disappointed and didn't exactly know what to do about getting everything redone correctly. Then came along Stephen, he listened to our nightmare of a story, assessed our situation, gave me a quote & timeline the next day. So the day comes that everything was supposed to get started. Chuck, Tom & crew were here first thing in the a.m. Supplies had been delivered 2 days prior so these guys were were ready to rock. Okay.....long story short. 3 days, all mess picked up each day, can't even tell they had been here, pay attention to detail, hard working, reliable, knowledgeable & professional. Experience #2: Could have been better They canceled a tile repair appointment at the last minute and offered to rebook more than two weeks out. I was annoyed and did the tile repair on my own. Experience #3: Initially great, then poor I decided to give them another shot. I wanted a four season sunroom. They came out right away and said they'd provide a quote. I followed up a few weeks after their visit to my property, and they said they were working on it. More than five weeks have passed since their visit and they never provided the quote. As another reviewer said, I guess they don't need the work. I still need a few things done to prep my unit for sale, but due to the lack of response - NOT the quality of work - I'll have to cross them off my list of preferred contractors. :( They ended up providing a quote at long last, probably only because they saw this review. In my opinion, the quote was kind of a "we don't want to do this work but we'll do it for this price" deal. There's an impolite word for quotes like these. They then asked me to change my review. OK, review changed.
