Lima's Chicken - Nothing but Awesomeness! I've been away in Kansas for a while and this brought back memories.keep the good work up guys.Customer service ;) - Chicken Wings Near Me - Hanover, Maryland

Lima's chicken has great rotisserie chicken and fresh sides - tacos, gyros, chicken bowls are options along with just 1/4,1/2, or whole chickens. I've only been during lunch time on weekdays. A few times the line was wrapped around the building but always moved fast. I think for the price and speed it's well worth the food. I end up with half for dinner which is always a plus. I've never eaten in the Restaraunt but they have seating for about 30 people I'd guess. Self seating, like chipotle. Doesn't always look super clean but it could be because it's an older building. read more

Best chicken in the area!! Don't bother going anywhere else! When you go to the chicken store, get the chicken. Don't go to the chicken store and get seafood and complain the chicken store's food isn't great. The chicken is great the portions are very large. They'll do all dark or white meat in quarter, half, and whole chicken sizes. Sometimes the chicken is so great they sell out, which is sad but understandable when the chicken is go good! The steak is tasty too, but go for the chicken. read more

This is a yummy Peruvian chicken place! It was slammed when we arrived on a Sun at noon. We ordered 2 meals to go containing: 1/2 chicken white meat, beans, fried rice, or plantains. I grabbed a slice of cake and a package of cookies for dessert. The good was very good! Service was great too! Generous portions which I appreciated! It was $35 for the two meals and 2 desserts. read more

We've ordered delivery from Lima's twice, the first time of which they did not include chicken in my chicken bowl. The food was great, so we chalked it up to bad luck and tried ordering from them again. The second time, the delivery driver had to call us from the restaurant to confirm what we ordered (which was only tacos and pollo parrillero) because they had given her three bags of unmarked food to bring to us. I had paid the upcharge to add guacamole to the tacos, but apparently they had run out so they just didn't include any (or offer to refund the upcharge). Again, not the biggest deal but still annoying. However, the chicken in the pollo parrillero was fully raw and had a hair in it, so it was inedible. The delivery driver also informed us that the person packaging the food was not wearing a mask. I'm rating two stars because the food that we did receive (and could eat) was very good, but considering that they're 0 for 2 on our orders, it is not worth the hassle to order from them again so we will not be returning. It's possible that we just had very bad luck last night, but I'd also be concerned about the level of cleanliness given that there was someone working there without a mask and there was hair in our food. read more

Can someone from this company please bottle that yellow sauce for me?!?!? Now that I got that out of the way, love this place! I've only ordered the quartered charbroiled chicken meal and the carne asada so I can't speak on the entire menu, but from the quality I've seen and tasted you probably can't go wrong with anything. I personally get great pleasure paying under $8.00 for two pieces of flavorful dark meat chicken, cilantro rice, and yummy yummy plantains. But the best part is drowning everything in that yellow sauce. Lima, whoever you are, I was serious about needing a bottle so hit me up. read more

I LOVE the chicken bowl. The food is very fresh and delicious however it is a bit pricey. I got a chicken bowl and steak tacos and paid $31. read more

I went to this restaurant at 9pm because there hours on google said they close at 10pm. When I got there, the doors were locked so i went to the drive thru. I worked came to the window, opened it (without a face mask) and immediately began coughing. he did not cover his mouth. I immediately rolled up my window. after he finished coughing he started talking. I cracked my window to hear him say, "I am sorry, I am not feeling well. we are only open for door dash." I drove off in disgust. During this pandemic, how in the world is an employee allowed to work while being sick and coughing without any PPE. I will never eat there again. Absolutely disgusting read more

Soooooo delicious!! It's been forever since I've gotten to eat Peruvian chicken (WHY is it nowhere to be found in DFW?), and Lima's did not disappoint. Perfectly cooked rotisserie chicken. The most amazing cilantro rice I've ever put in my mouth. Plantains were sweet and warm and yummy. My toddler even liked the mixed veggies. And yes, the yellow sauce is amazing. Ask for extra, because you'll want it. You might even dream about it. We tried to call ahead (because we ordered 3 whole chickens) but no one answered the phone. That really didn't matter once we started eating because the food was SO GOOD. Definitely worth checking out. read more

This is one of the best Peruvian Charbroiled chicken places I've been to. Not only that but the burritos, burrito bowls, grilled steak and shrimp are all delicious. The sides are good as well. I love the plantains and cilantro lime rice. My only complaint is that the steam vegetables are very very lightly steamed, closer to raw really. The portions are a bit too large for me. But, that's not a complaint only an observation. I love this place!! The food makes my mind, body and soul happy. read more

I love the limas in Annapolis, always good. This one, and the one in Catonsville always disappoint. Cold food, and staff that doesn't seem to care. The restaurant want very clean either. Don't think I'll come back. read more

Lima's chicken is absolutely incredible. I have never had a bad dish from this place and I can personally verify that everything on this menu is delicious. They also deliver to local office buildings, and their food always arrives fresh. Definitely one of the top peruvian chicken places around! read more

Not for Americans who come from the flavorless South or Midwest. Or maybe it is for them! Ask Anthony Bourdaine what he thinks about Peruvian cuisine and he'll tell you it's some of the most flavorful in all the world. And with 4-5 locations in The Maryland area, I think the locals have figured this out too. Food amazing, seating ambiance nothing special, but who cares, did I mention the food. I was expecting a little more spice, which you can get with their green salsa - which is not Mexican salsa verde, it is much much better. Try the Lomo Saltado or the Ceviche, can't go wrong. Get the Inca cola, yucca and the platanos and you'll sing this places praises. read more

Peruvian food, I wouldn't say I like it that much. But this place really changed my mind. I had (3) Chicken Tacos with the yellow and green sauce; I was flying in heaven!! (num num num) This is definitely a great place for some budget-friendly but quality comfort food. It's affordable and worth trying. Overall, I would recommend this for a nice lunch or a casual dinner. I'm a HUGE FAN!! read more

Standard roast chicken fare. Good and satisfying but not outstanding. The takeout service was pretty quick, though. I'd come again for a quick and solid meal. read more

What a surprising treat to be discovered. I came across this place due to my wife's work friend. Absolutely amazing Peruvian Cuisine in what appears to be an old fast food joint. Appears to be a family style ran business and everyone is very nice and the food is quickly prepared and fresh. The food was excellent, and we've dinned both in and picked up multiple occasions to date (about 6 so far, and the number is still rising). Great food, close location (next to planet fitness in Hanover). read more

Ordered and there was a couple cars behind me so the gentleman at the window told my to wait in the lot. That's fine. That's nothing I've never done before. But to have me waiting for 30 minutes while literally every single person who is in line gets their food before me? My order was not large at all. A burrito and two orders of tacos. And then I get my food half an hour later and it's cold?...cmon guys...you can do better than that. Super unprofessional and now I'm just really hesitant on giving them my business again. read more

Jan 17, 2017-UPDATE- I received a email from this company and it meant the world to hear a sincere apology and also he was kind enough to issue me a $10 credit for my next purchase thank you very much. I will return to this restaurant because the General Manager took the time to reply to my issue....... I had a horrible experience at this restaurant My son ordered from the drive-through too dark meat meals and a chicken Gyro he got home and it was not a chicken Gyro and I had white meat I called up there and the manager hung the phone up in my face I called back she placed me on hold at that point I decided to go to the restaurant face-to-face I get there and she was very combative very argumentative. Telling me that that's what I ordered instead of fixing my order at that point I asked for a refund and left that restaurant I would never go back again read more

Awesome chicken, clean, the new interior looks great! Just opened this weekend. I had the quarter chicken with yucca and green beans. The two sauces are great too. Finally peruvian in Severn! read more

The chicken was pretty good and you get ample portions on the sides! I wasn't sure if I really wanted to go inside and then I saw that they had a drive-up window. The staff at the window was very helpful in helping me order and very friendly. I usually go with dark meat chicken, but because I had never eaten here before I decided for a half chicken to share and get a good sampling. I liked the chicken, but could have used just a tad bit more seasoning. I also had the cilantro rice which was good and the mixed veggies also very good. read more

Love it! The food is always great. I love the fresh ingredients and the chicken is amazing.

This probably is one of the worst Peruvian chicken places I've ever been to. The restaurant itself, for being new, is dirty. The dining area is a clumsy jumble of tables and booths. For the area, and taste, they are way over priced. I have had better chicken from street carts or mobile food stands. Hell, KFC is even better that this. The chicken is dry and over cooked, the "flank" steak is like boot leather and the sausage was only sausage in a sense as it might have came from a pig. All in all, don't waste your time and money, go to Nando's Peri Peri in Waugh Chapel. read more

I honestly wanted to try the food here and give an honest opinion about the quality of their Peruvian dishes. Too bad they ignored my order entirely, and then when I brought it up to them, they promptly forgot it again. Waited for nearly an hour just to walk out after realizing that I wasn't going to get my food anytime soon. From what I could see and smell, the restaurant certainly gave me the impression that the food would have been delicious. For having eaten nothing, this place certainly left a terrible taste in my mouth and I won't be returning if I can help it. read more

I was VERY I mean VERY impressed with the food first off. I had ordered with coworkers on several occasions that went and picked the food up for staff HOWEVER when I called and made the same order on my own for pick up for pollo bowls I was very disappointed. None of the same sauces were in the dish, and I had to search for the pollo in the dish. IT WAS MORE RICE AND BEANS than anything. The worst part was I had ordered the meals for myself and guests I was having over for the weekend and they were not impressed as I had been so impressed before. Consistency is KEY!!!! If my order even tasted HALF as good as the photo of the steak bowl on the Yelp site looks my guests would have been delighted and so would I. read more

As a world traveler I am always in search of really good food. At Lima's Chicken we've found a other jewel! After several trips and sharing with a large group of friends we can unequivocally say this is one of the best places around plus the prices are cheap Their light yellow aioli sauce..addicting!! Cilantro rice- addicting and fresh Chicken- crispy skin, incredibly flavorful ALL the way through...moist...tender. my Peruvian friends agree it tastes authentic Green beans- wow! slightly crisp. .not soggy. Cooked with seasoning and onions Mixed vegs-also slight crunch..what a treat to find food like you'd cook at home. Very, very impressed and the best place to get a quality meal that is not "fast food" Amen! read more

Lomo saltado is the best. Steak, onions and tomatoes over rice and fries? In my opinion, simply the best. I go at least 4 times a month. read more

At Lima's Chicken you will find the most delicious rotisserie chicken, grilled steak and Peruvian dishes prepared with ingredients of the highest quality. Everything looks very fresh and smells delicious the moment you walk in through their doors. Reading the menu is a bit overwhelming since there are a lot of different dishes you can order and for someone like me who has never had Peruvian food before, you tend to be a little overwhelmed. I ordered the Carne Asada which was grilled steak and onions with two sides, my sides consisted of black beans and French fries that were drenched in some sort of gravy (that was amazing). My boyfriend ordered chicken tacos (come in threes) that came in flour tortillas with lettuce, cheese and sour cream. Our total came to $23.00 for the two of us. My friends have had the Peruvian dishes here which consist of Peruvian Ceviche (Fresh fish in lime juice mixed with special spices) and Lomo Saltado (Seasoned with soy sauce and yellow peppers). I have not had these yet but I will soon try them! The restaurant inside used to be a Friendly's restaurant, however, this establishment no longer resembles Friendly's at all and the inside is now fresh, clean and provides a family atmosphere with clean bathrooms! Please note that there are multiple deals at Lima's Chicken. Some of the best deals are currently on her website which can be viewed at this link: limaschicken.com. If you cannot view the link then here some are: $17.95 for a whole chicken and two sides, $9.65 for a 1/2 chicken and two sides, $6.45 for a ¼ dark meat chicken and two sides and $7.25 for a ¼ white meat chicken and two sides. read more

This isn't about the food but about the service. I've been coming to Lima's for 2 years now and the last few visits have been disturbing. I notice that one of the women that serves the food treat people like her better than let's say me. I've noticed that she'll give them a large amount of food but if I ask for a little bit more vegetables she says I have to pay extra! Pay extra for a few more pieces of Broccoli? I'm truly disturbed by that and as much I would hate to say this, I plan to speak to the Manager/Owner about this and find another Peruvian spot read more

Caught my eye from the road and wanted to see how what they had to offer. I saw other Latin restaurants such as El Pollo Rico that had average food so I was looking forward to a difference with this restaurant unfortunately that was not the case. The food was pretty average, still better than a giant rotisserie because it had a grilled flavor. Decor - 4 of 5 Service - 3 of 5 Food - 3 of 5 read more

Cafeteria-style ordering, no wait service. Just order at the counter on your way in, then sit yourself at a table. Desserts are in the fridge (flan) or at the cash register (alfajores cookies). There's also a drive-thru window. It's good for what it is, which for most people is charbroiled chicken with two sides. I prefer the Carne Asada, a thin, marinated and tenderized flank steak grilled with bell peppers and onions. My preferred sides are the yucca fries and the cilantro rice. Like another reviewer mentioned, the plantains are a little different: they have a thin, blackened crispy edge, which I thought was nice, makes them a little more firm and less mushy. Of the desserts, I've only had the flan, which was a much thicker consistency than I'm used to, but it's not bad. Just a little different than other places. Most of their food can be pretty oily/greasy. After you finish, you might notice a shiny pool of oil at the bottom of your plate or container. So if you're grease-conscious and don't like shiny lips after a meal, you might not enjoy this food much. But it is well-seasoned and satisfying portions. read more

I ordered online to avoid the lunchtime rush and only received part of my order. I got rice and beans and a side salad as my sides and only received the rice - a mistake I only realized after I'd left. The chicken is crispy but dry. Seems pretty popular so maybe I didn't have the typical experience. read more

I drive by this location almost every day. I always wondered what their Peruvian food tasted like compared to my favorite spot Sardis. The food was ok, and it's probably not fair for me to compare the two. My favorite part about the meal was the cookies they sell near the register. They are really good. Also the portions are smaller compared to Sardi's. read more

Slightly above average Peruvian rotisserie digs. Juicy chicken, generous side portions, and pretty solid steak tacos! Surprisingly, the veggie selections are super fresh and not overcooked, like most establishments that don't focus on the quality of their sides. Definitely a good place for lunch or a quick dinner to-go stop. Good enough to keep coming back to. read more

The food was good. The rice was tasty. The green beans tasted a little rubbery. The chicken was fresh. I was just disappointed at the fact that they were being stingy with the yellow sauce. I asked for more and he only gave me two more. So that is the only thing that made me give this review read more

I am not a fan of Lima's. The chicken is hit or miss, the sides are either over or undercooked. The fried rice is always oily. I've given them 3 opportunities to prove me wrong before writing this review and I've been disappointed every time. If you want good Peruvian food, go to Sardi's. It's about 15 min away in Laurel but worth the drive EVERY TIME!!! read more
