Let me just preface this by saying DO NOT COME TO THIS STORE…read more I came in to purchase a dress for a formal. They said I would be able to come back and return the dress if needed as long as I had a receipt, however they did not put a receipt in my bag. Then when I came back to return the dress I was blamed for their mistakes and told I could only return the item for a gift card. Additionally the worker was extremely hostile and did not know how to work her own cash register and had to call for help multiple times. After issuing the gift card they told me that I would not be able to use the gift card because "their machine was down," essentially stealing $65 from me. Despite saying that they would reach out to me about the issue they never did and I had to call multiple times to resolve this issue. On the phone the worker called me rude (I don't know how trying to get a refund is considered "rude") and was extremely unhelpful. Finally they agreed to exchange the gift card for a different item (after 2 phone calls and 4 in store visits, I don't know why they couldn't have done this in the first place) This fiasco wasted me hours of time. Do yourself a favor and order a dress from somewhere else or head to a mall or basically anything but go to this store. If you must purchase something avoid interaction with Mary. She is completely clueless and obviously was not trained properly. Edit: The store owner called me a day after to guilt trip me, offer various excuses, and when that didn't work blatantly told me to the take review down and tried to bribe me. Unfortunately I will not be bribed.

Was browsing the earring section with a few friends. Decided to go look at something else, so I put the earrings back. When I returned to the earring section, where my friends were still standing, I was approached by an employee. She asked me if I had left the earrings over on the other side, where I had just returned from. Confused, I said I hadn't. She continued prodding me about the earrings (are you sure you didn't put them down, where are they, etc...) I then realized she was accusing me of stealing them. Just when I thought it couldn't get worse, she asked me to show her the exact place that I had set down the earrings (wtf) which I was able to do. She then walked away without even an apology. It goes without saying that accusing customers of stealing when you obviously have no idea what you are talking about is not only disrespectful, embarrassing (given that the store was incredibly crowded at the time), but extremely unprofessional. Sad to say I will not be returning to Verbena....clothes are cute...and employees usually professional and respectful.

I've really liked that sometimes when I start a fitting room, I'll find additional things I hadn't picked out myself in the room as recommendations based on the other items I picked and if we talk about what I'm looking for. Got an amazing dress to wear as a wedding guest that was heavily on sale and perfectly my size this way once. I don't think it was even out on racks. Also love their beautiful home goods. Also on the pricier end but don't sleep on the sale section. Just got an absolutely adorable serving dish and plate set for a great price. This location is in a nice plaza with a lot of other retail and dining options. Parking lot is always a little crazy but there's the additional space kind of behind the store (next to it technically) if the main lot out front is full.

The clothes are not particularly chic or stylish or unique- it's an overpriced J Jill or Coldwater Creek for the middle aged set. As far as customer service? Meh.. style, uniqueness, variety or quality of stock? Meh.. rye clothes are overpriced and off middling, lackluster style and quality in my book... I could never find anything I'd be willing to buy at even a deep discount other than perhaps a standard issue black tank top, which I can buy anywhere by virtually any design house at any price.. let's be real, a pair of flowy , crinkled rayon loose pants by some random label are not worth $119- and I literally just spotted that very item at that very price. A coordinating tunic/top at a comparable price tag, etc, some boring white tops, a few tank tops, some button down top/tunics that I wouldn't buy and some accessories too middle aged for me are status quo. Price points? It isn't outrageously pricey for the area, yet the prices were too high for what they're offering... As for layout/displays? The boutique definitely is laid out well, but that's about all I can say. The shop is clutter free, clean, well laid out.. If I was a stay at home soccer mom type, who goes to church events and was not into mixing street style with high and low pieces, perhaps this might be my speed, although I doubt it. Even if I was older or had kids, the clothes still wouldn't be upmarket or unique enough for me and I dislike the 'higher end' price tag on items that decidedly are not high end or even mid range luxury. While I did get a quick greeting from a sales associate (some food in the store didn't rate a glance or a hello, so perhaps I should feel impressed), it really wasn't friendly and I could tell by her response that she was totally uninterested if I was browsing or buying. Nothing I saw even looked like something I'd see in a fashion magazine or on a Saks or Macys website. If I want to pay those prices, and I often do, I want style and quality- so I'd rather buy something from Michael Kors and know it's worth the $. Not for me... sorry.. ...

It's unfortunate & UNUSUAL if you happened to shop there on a "bad day" for a salesperson. Things go on in everyone's life that have nothing to do with you. The selection is great and they always have new stuff coming in, many of which are new with tags. Be sure to set aside at least an hour to browse through all the clothing, shoes, and accessories they have. The upstairs has the sale racks and the markdowns can be massive especially for end of the season clothes. I scored a new with tags lined leather black skirt for $8 and a pair of white NYDJ jeans for $12. I've never left empty handed. I don't live in Michigan anymore but my mom does so every time I'm in town this is a must visit!

They had it all! The only downside is that, imo, there was not enough refreshing of inventory over time. They were great about things I needed to return, but a month later I saw a lot of the same things I had seen on my previous visit. The first visit, you may be blown away, but maybe let some time pass before your next visit to allow for additional inventory. Still love this store for value and designer items! Definitely stop in!

I have clutches by her. I do like her bags are named after cities in Michigan too. Deb confirmed they are open until 6pm tonight. Decided to give it a look see. Must knock or call for them to open the door for you. I bought 3 hair pins and a crystal chain necklace for casual dress up and around town wear. It's a fun store to browse for a good while. You are bound to discover some real gems.
