I usually get my pedicures here they always do a good job BUT this time I asked for my under arms to be waxed. NEVER AGAIN! I should have said no first off because their waxing station looked SO dirty and NOT clean/sanitary. So I got my pedicure today and I looked under my arms and I was thinking let me get my under arms waxed (I have gotten my underarms waxed before but not here)... She does one under arm she applied this wax that looks like something that would come from a deodorant dispenser thing she continuously used that same thing over my armpit without any sort of cleaning didn't get all of the hair off and then a second time and then a third time(all in the same spot). HORRIBLE PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING!!!!!! About 6 months ago i had gotten nail fungus under my acrylics, so i waited a couple months and it went away. So i decided to give them another try a few months later. 3 times within the past month me my mother and aunt all got fungus under our nails from this place. They do not wash anything, Do not sanitize stations after they're done with a customer, don't switch out or clean their tools, and they barely even wear their masks, but yell at other people to keep they're whole face covered. Also, they do not have a price list- or stick to it at least. Every time i went for a fill they tried to charge me $65. For a FILL?! I argue with the lady everytime and ask why it's so high and she never gives me an answer. They try to scam you so make sure you ask why the price is so high because often times, they are ripping you off. Very understaffed so if you go when it's not that busy you'll still probably spend 2 hours for a fill. Very disappointed and will not be returning. First time coming here. I usually go to SAGE which is by far my all time favorite for cleanliness but prices are high. At sage a regular ANC is $45 so I decided to try Lily's. Regular ANC is $35 but the ombré I did was $50. NOTE: if picking the ombré ANC, it looks like it will be white and yellow but it's actually clear and yellow. I'm sure you can change the colors to whatever you want but I didn't realize it was clear. Just a heads up. Overall they did a good job and I was in and out in under an hour which is unheard of especially on a Saturday afternoon! Also did a good job with cuticles although she went a little out of order and made me nervous she wasn't going to do them but eventually it was all taken care of. My problem is when she was removing the initial ANC she burned my nail beds twice with the buffer. Also not the most clean, but not the worst either. I would come back to Lily's for a regular ANC since I initially went there to save money lol but I still prefer SAGE overall. read more

The technicians are good but the service is horrendous. Recommended technicians are Cindy and Elvira. My mother, sister, and I made appointments because we were running on a tight schedule and as per usual Tony completely disregards appointments. He makes no effort to accommodate people who have made appointments. They were for 6:15pm. Appointments did not start until 6:50pm and we were rushed through our manicures and pedicures so the employees could get out on time. We had an awful experience today at Lily's. I used to go there regularly for manicures and pedicures, and felt they were trustworthy and professional. We moved across town, and about 6 years ago I began going elsewhere. Today, our regular salon was closed and my daughter needed her gel extensions removed and a regular manicure done in its place. I called, told the manager the service needed, and we went in at the specified time. We informed three employees, including the manager, that my teenager had gel extensions (not tips or acrylics). Two employees sat down in succession to begin the job. The first was immediately pulled away. The second looked at her nails and confirmed "gel powder" and began to pull cotton out to soak the nails in acetone. She then was pulled away to do a massage on another client. The manager sat down to begin the removal, mumbled something to my daughter, and began filing aggressively at her pinky with a card. Before we could stop him, he had removed the gel extension, along with half her natural nail. She was crying from the pain, and was bleeding. He claims he thought they were acrylics, although he and two other employees were told they were gel extensions. The confusion and incompetence were profound. He apologized, admitted fault, offered us $300 in gift certificates or $300 in cash to make up for it, and to pay for any medical bills. I declined the former two, and informed him he should hope we don't have any medical bills associated with his negligence. He should not be offering professional manicure services, let alone managing a salon. I would not step foot in Lily's nails again for any service and I would urge others to avoid it at all costs. read more

We moved up to Dutchess county area 5 years ago. My wife was looking for a nail place. She stumbled upon lilys and hasn't stopped going there since. I have even started joining her. The place changed ownership semi recently and it seems it has gotten better. Its a very clean place and the people are extremely nice. I cant speak highly enough of Tony and Lucy (the owners) and their employees. They do great work and take their time. Prices are very fair as well. I put this up because mostly people will put a review when something bad happens and when you have a great experience especially for such a long period of time you tend to over look and just keep going back. I've been twice. I'll never go back. I had a male technician, maybe the owner. He was competent but uninterested the first time, the second time he must have wished he was doing something else. He ignored me when I said my nail was burning (I said it twice using different wording to make sure I was being clear.) He cut my cuticle so badly that he had to use styptic three times. I came here with my 8 year old for pedicures. There were only 2 people ahead of us already being worked on. It was a Sunday, so you'd think there would be enough staff. I waited an hour. The staff then attempted to work on 2 women who were walk ins that came in 40 minutes after I did. I said something, so they came back over to work on me. Mind you, my 8 year old is still sitting there waiting. When the next worker finished what she was doing, she proceeded to work on the people that came in way after us instead of my daughter. I tried asking them to at least turn on my daughters foot jet tub bubbles but no one would do it. They kept saying ok but didn't do it. I just went to this nail salon for the first time. The male "nail tech" who did my nails was incredibly rude and did not listen or acknowledge anything I said or asked. He literally rolled his eyes as I was speaking and made nasty comments. He also proceeded to pretend he didn't understand what I was saying after a while. The worst part was while he was cutting my cuticles he snipped the skin next to my nail so badly I had a cut for almost a week. He refused to tell me his title in the end, first said he was the owner then said he was simply a manager. They are also not following safe practices according to the New York State Department of State regarding cleanliness and items that are not supposed to be used on more than one person. After continuing to come here for pedicures, I decided to try out their nail services. I was sitting getting my feet done and I asked the owner if he did acrylics. There isn't a list of services anywhere (which is unusual and unhelpful) and so when he said yes, I asked him how much. $30 for a new set. That sounded reasonable so I told him to go ahead. (note: I've had my nails done hundreds of times). He started his process and had all the tips glued on before he asked me what color I wanted. I told him "pink and white" and he acted like he didn't understand me. I was asked 5 times and each time I repeated myself he tried to get me to say another color. I had to look him in the eye and say NO very loudly. He got frustrated and walked away and suddenly my hands were being dumped in a solution to dissolve the tips he had JUST PUT ON. Then he told me that I should have said something earlier because he had solid white tips that he uses for pink and white only. (As if I was supposed to know!) and that he would have to start over. Then he proceeded to do another lady's nails instead while I sat waiting with stinging fingers and a headache from the smell for about 20 minutes. He had a lady "try" and pick out new white tips for me but she failed miserably and once he was back to finally take care of me I was informed that the pink and white was going to be $45 instead. I was in a hurry and was leaving for vacation the next day and certainly couldn't do anything with my filed down, acrylic stained fingers so I begrudgingly said ok. What did that $15 dollars extra get me? Nothing. Once the tips were on, he put some acrylic on, sanded a little and used a polish to help make them shine. It was nothing more than he would have done with the clear tips. They turned out ok, not amazing and definitely not worth the money. It's been less than a week and almost all of them have lifted and started to yellow. I will NOT be going back there for nails ever again, and honestly feel like taking my foot business elsewhere as well. read more

I am very particular about my manicures. I don't want to feel rushed and in pain when I get them done. I am so tired of going to many places where I feel like they hurt me when they push my cuticles and rush so they can get their tip and move on to the next customer. HOWEVER, this place was different. It was beautiful inside and my mom and I had manicures for the first time. They took their time with my nails and made sure that my nails were perfectly buffed and my cuticles were cut - pain free! They did not rush and really spent time. I was so impressed. They price tag was a bit more than I am used to paying at $12 but, I would rather spend a little more to actually RELAX. The main guy who sits closest to the door rolled his eyes and sighed at me when I asked if he could please apply a third coat because you could still see my nail through the polish. He rushed through my nails, leaving uneven edges where the polish stops and getting a fair amount on my skin (which he didn't remove). Worst place I have ever been to. The owner needs a real reality check. I called twice within the week to ask how much a pedicure was. He said $20 both times. I finally had time to go in and as I walked in I asked how much a pedicure was and he said $20. I sat in the chair, got my pedicure, which by the way was nothing special. She messed up twice. The nailpolish was dry, on and on and on with all the issues. Went to pay and had a 20% off coupon. Gave him the coupon, he said I couldn't use it because it was a month old. There's no expiration date on the coupon. After about 5 minutes of arguing back and forth he finally said ok $25. And After I told him it was 25$ to begin with he said no a pedicure was $28 dollars.
