Wedding band

Caroline was incredible. She worked with my fiancé and me to design and create our engagement ring and both wedding bands. She is thoughtful about every detail and works with you to create the kind of ring you are imagining. She's helpful when you have questions but not pushy about anything, giving space for your creativity and vision but offering advice when asked. When I asked for a gold ring with a wood inlay, she rose to the challenge. Here is a picture of my ring:

Caroline is an exceptional person and business owner. I cannot day enough good things about Liloveve. Nestled in a beautiful space, this boutique shop really delivers. Caroline worked with my husband and I to create wedding bands we love. She designed a custom band to compliment my engagement ring and clearly loves her trade. Caroline, it has been such a pleasure being in your company. Thank you!!!!!

detail of exquisite "claws" on each side

I met Caroline this past Christmas at an art- jewelry- accessory show at her wonderfully friendly Brooklyn shop. It was the first time I ventured into that area of Williamsburg and was so happily surprised by the size, light, spacious room of her store, and the ease of viewing her exquisite jewelry pieces in lovely, clean display cases. Caroline offered to show us her teaching area downstairs and what an organized and thoughtfully arranged place to teach the art of jewelry making. I would definitely take a class here just for the students working area, light, and equipment alone. We went back upstairs and I looked at the many pieces and styles she designs and makes by hand. These pieces were top of the line quality in fine white gold, platinum, yellow and rose gold. Fine, fine workmanship. Each tiny detail was done to perfection and we could tell that was her mission-- to create a piece for that person with their personalty and her expertise in suggesting ways to make it happen. For several years, i wanted to have someone make me that special statement piece from a stone my life partner gave me in a ring. It ocured to me there, that Caroline had to be that person. I roughly sketched out the idea, and she took it from there knowing what the metal can do and what stone placement would best suit weight, balance and wow factors. I picked up this piece last week, and she presented it to me in tissue paper. I unwrapped it carefully and as I got to the last unfolding, I was taken off my bench with the sheer genius and quality of this statement piece. I had no idea it could ever look this way. It was Caroline's perfect sense of getting to know my personality just over several lunch meetings, where sketches were shown. Then the unveiling was breath taking. Way more than I ever expected. An heirloom piece that is totally me which I've worn it every day since. It has an ingenious clasp she derived from an antique piece she made for the store. I was so taken with the idea, that I had to have one made up. It proudly sits on every sweater and coat I wear. So if a jeweler is on your horizon that carefully considers who YOU are, and can translate a concept into magic-- with an expert hand in stone work and settings, Liloveve and Caroline Glemann is your person- You really will thank the Yelp gods, you read this.

Great Ring making course. The work space is in the basement of the gallery. We had Brent as an instructor and he explained every step and was very patient. Overall the course was fun but there were some difficult and time consuming steps in making the ring. But I'm very happy with the ring I made.

My finished rings from the 4-hour ring making intensive with Kate as my instructor.

I took the four hour ring making intensive with Kate as the instructor. I found it to be a very informative, challenging, fun, and rewarding experience. I found that the class size was a little large, considering that it is a very small studio and only one instructor for the class. I feel that the class could have been more productive if a reference guide or outline of the steps involved had been provided for each student, so that the instructor wouldn't be overwhelmed by questions from every student. Other than that, I really enjoyed the course, and look forward to taking more classes in the future.

Engagement rings resizes and refinished to match in white gold plating.

Amazing service! carolyn's such a talented jewler. My fiance and I both brought our rings for resizing. Not only were they done super fast (24 hr turn around) but they looked even better than when we dropped them off. They were nicely polished and refinished so that you couldnt even tell there was any adjustment. I will go back again when it's time to buy the wedding rings. My only regret is not finding out about this place when we were looking for engagement rings. Having a one on one experience with someone is so much better than buying something online and wishing for the best.

My gorgeous custom engagement ring!

The art classes are great but the teachers are not friendly at all. They don't greet parents,…read more never say hi or bye to students when they enter or leave. Every time you go pick up your child nobody makes eye contact our tries to acknowledge you are there. The first day of class no teacher introduced herself to me, so I have no idea about who is the leader, what are their names... It's just a really weird vibe. The fact that the art classes are good is not enough reason for me to recommend this place; the teachers need some training regarding their social skills and manners. It seems as if somebody told them to ignore parents completely when they come in. Also, they should learn to smile a little. No signing up for next semester or ever again.

The way the classes are structured is extremely smart - building from fun materials that they can play with to the art projects that are related to those very same materials. The vibe in the studio is perfect - the kids are free to explore at their own pace but it still feels like a mellow, controlled environment. I also LOVE being able to expose the kids to projects where they are encouraged to get messy ... and then not have to deal with the clean up at home! It's a great place run brilliantly by Kristin -- who turns every day household objects into tools of creativity and wonder.

Perfect school for me. Located in Gantry section of LIC so safe and easy to get to. Been attending…read moreclasses for two years and I've developed a real appreciation for the teachers and methods used to improve how I draw and paint. Great school if you want to build solid foundations of skills from the tradition of the old masters. Adult evening classes are well attended but not too crowded. Have not worked with all the teachers yet but so far I've felt really supported and nurtured, but not pampered. Really have to leave your ego at the door and come ready to work and absorb. Shout out to teacher Leo K for his patience, great skill, dry sense of humor. Varvara super as well. Heard good things about the other teachers but those mentioned were the ones I could coordinate with my work schedule. Now, the reason for this review. Bridgeview has a summer "Art Camp" in France each year and I was lucky enough to attend- 7 days of painting, touring, eating (Did I mention it is in France?) and good vibes, on the Brittany coast. I'm still high from it. School founders Lena and John acted as hosts and instructors - they've been doing it for 10 years all around France (And also Virginia USA which I may try next spring) and they know what they're doing. A completely joyful and rich experience that I have to Yelp about.. Down side, classes and trips can stress out your pocketbook. All I can say is the attention I've gotten in my artistic "journey" made it worth saving my pennies and investing in a Bridgeview education.
