We bought this gorgeous old school-looking cabinet that adds a layer of cool to the boys' loft (we also bought a cute bean bag chair but, well, that was too delicate for my tykes). I don't know if it would inspire you to breed, as Annie P. suggest (it didn't make me want to impregnate the wifey with #3 anytime soon). This store is amazing! I used to walk by it prior to having my little one, and would wander in and want to buy everything. Now that I have a little one, I do buy everything, and looooove it. The only thing that has kept me from going completely broke is we moved, so the store is no longer included on my daily walks. I love the staff. The prices are a little high, which is only an issue cuz of how fast kids grow out of this stuff. I stopped by here on before my last trip to Vegas. Reasons to for you to stop by too: 1. Great place to buy a gift for a child 2 & under OR a Mommy-to-be 2. You can get an original funky cool outfit for your own child (say for a trip to Vegas) 3. It's a great time killer because you can go in with a friend and oooo and ahhh over every single item in the store. (and proceed to hit up the rest of Retro Row) Basically, my son rocked Vegas as evident by his "Rock On" onesie with headphones. It's hard to find edgier baby clothes so I was extremely happy that this store is in Long Beach, close to home. It's the only one I've been able to find that isn't in LA! The only drawbacks are: 1. Parking- you have to parallel park the street or pay for meters (be prepared) 2. Price- (Being a new mom) You find out right away that just because the clothes are smaller, it doesn't mean the prices are too! I felt the prices are reasonable considering the uniqueness of the items and that it's the only place around carrying this type of merchandise. AT LEAST, stop by to check it out. read more

This place ROCKS! Even though it is a kids clothing store they have rad knick knacks you won't find elsewhere! It is Rockabilly, Punk, Reggae, Psychobilly inspired clothing, items but there's other items that definitely rock just as hard as their pieces. The owners are very cool down to earth people. They actually hold some of my company hair accessories & were very friendly in starting our business relationship. I come here for ALL baby gifts! So many of my friends are having babies right now, or have had them in the last two years, that I frequent Lil Devils! They have great band-onesies (e.g. Johnny Cash, Blondie, The Beatles, Bob Marley, Sex Pistols, Misfits, etc.) or old fashioned toys that maybe you remember playing with as a child. Adorable dresses for little ones and unique diaper bags. Whatever gift you desire, I highly recommend picking it up here! Not only will your gift be one-of-a-kind, but you will be sponsoring a small local business! The staff are always friendly and helpful. The only thing I wish is that they would start website so that I could send gifts to other states with a way for my friends to order more! Plus, it would be nice to buy a gift card for people I know, which would allow them to purchase online. This is a wonderful baby/children's boutique that carries unique gifts such as natural toys (Plan toys), punk/rock/hipster style onsies and clothes and products made locally, books and accessories. I love shopping here for baby shower gifts and can always find something in various price ranges. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. It is great to support such a great local store. My 11 month old son is often seen wearing something from lil devils and the toys he has from this store he plays with more often the toys that have too many "bells and whistles". The best baby/kiddie clothen store LB has to offer and its on 4th street (woohoo). Whenever i am in the area i make it a point to stop in and have a look around (i bought my nephew a onesie when he was first born from here). Im always greeted by a friendly employee. I dont ever feel pressured to hurry up and buy something. Its relaxing to just be able to look around. When i do have a question i always get an honest answer and some cool suggestions. I absolutely love this store. My wife and I went for a stroll on 4th Street and stumbled across the store. The toys they offer for the kids are of quality and often made out of real wood. They did remind me of the toys that I used to have when I was a child. Of course also a really nice change to what is out there. The prices are higher than Walmart or Target but so is the quality. I'm probably one of the only people who is not so smitten by this place, but truthfully, I just know you can get most of this stuff for much cheaper at places like Target or dare I say, even Wal-Mart...*cringing* I came here to buy some presents for my future nephew because I intend to spoil him, but found absolutely nothing. Everything was way too punk for my taste! I'm not overly preppy by any means, but I also don't want my little nephew to be walking around like an emo skater when he can't even walk yet! I also felt extremely out of place in the neighborhood because most people were dressed extremely casually, loitering, staring, cursing and smoking right outside the store! There was some guy at a nearby bus stop who kept staring at me creepily, even as I was parking; speaking of which, there is only street parking available. Forget the Laura Ashley pastels of our parents, this shop sells kids clothes that parents would actually want. My personal favorite, a white Elvis jumpsuit. Great. Old school toys, organic baby gear, and classic metal push carts, great items for parents of all "hip factors" I have friends that don't have any kids, yet they shop there to stock up on great pieces. Best place for hip gifts for friends' baby showers. Orginal owner had the greatest idea to open a store full of great baby gifts for the younger generation. Not everyone wants to dress their kids in teddy bears. This was his dream! He passed away years ago now and but his passing touched everyones hearts in the neighborhood. I shop his store because not only does it have great kids gifts but i feel it keeps his dream alive. Not to mention better taste and a sweet sale rack.
