I should also include some pertinents: no one else lived in the building except my mother who rented the floor below us. there are only two units. literally no one complained. also, when they couldn't get in touch with me because it was Friday night at 9pm, they began harassing my elderly mother (who again, rents a separate apartment and has nothing to do with my LEGAL medical marijuana. Lawyered up and they backed down like the unprofessional losers they are. we broke our lease early to get away from these incompetent morons. do yourself a favor, avoid at all costs. the lawyer was provided to me by a veterans organization free of charge. he looked into Brian Weinstein at rent prov and apparently he is WELL known in the legal community as a royal POS.

They are extremely unprofessional and rude in conversation, not something I would expect with a company that owns a significant portion of housing in Providence. Maintenance requests are delayed and not met. There is no inspection with someone physical upon move in/move out. And they will take your security deposit unless you take photographs. Even with them they will still try to make legal arguments about taking your money. Housing is already expensive as is, we don't need large companies making it more difficult to live. Your company needs to be retrained in how to deal with PEOPLE, not money. Because I can guarantee that your reputation becomes more and more tarnished every time you try to screw people over.

We continued to visit the property, on three separate occasions, took measurements, and began planning for our new home. Jillian was away at one point, and we spoke with her coworker, assuring him that we wanted this property, too. After not hearing from Jillian for 8 days, we reached back out to confirm our impending sale - and intent to sign a lease within the next couple of days. Jillian coldly let us know that the property had actually been rented to someone else. Despite our agreement to inform us that another renter was interested, instead of calling - as we agreed- Jillian just rented it! I spoke with her in person, and asked why she would go back on her word. Why my deposit meant nothing - not even the ability to have a phone call. I told her that I felt like the rug had been ripped right under us. Jillian, calmly said that this is how she conducts her business. That she had sent an email two days prior asking if we would pay $50 more a month. I told her no such email had been received, and that people who are interested in properties will always respond to their agents. In it was no mention of another renter - and the closing even said "I will call you if someone else rents!" Obviously she never intended to call, nor follow up- and as I said earlier- we didn't even get this email because the address was misspelled. She handed me back my useless deposit check.
