They first…read moresit down to thoroughly understand your specific buying or selling situation and potential challenges are identified/discussed upfront. With an excellent understanding of market dynamics and strategic positioning of my home, SMG developed a unique strategy to drive a very positive outcome when we went to market. The team went above and beyond for me to ensure a streamlined and successful process and exceeded my goals as a seller yet again! I am a repeat client having worked with Steve on two sales: the first was sale of a lower Manhattan condo just before COVID which sold at the highest dollar per square foot in the building for some time. This year in 2024, we recently closed on the sale of my residence in the Edgewood area of Cranston, RI - which again ended up being the highest price sold in Edgewood - ever- for single-family home that wasn't a waterfront or direct water-view property. Steve really did an unparalleled job of marketing the home through drone video and professional photos showcasing my home's unique features and took a multi-faceted approach to reach the target buying audience both local and afar. The home went under contract within one week of listing as a result. Steve and his team communicated with all parties throughout the process and quickly dealt with any issues that arose. They stayed on top of all aspects of the sales/closing process to ensure it was fully managed from start to finish. I couldn't be happier with the overall service and constant communication provided. The Steven Miller Group has my highest recommendation!

Lauren Grilli of RE/MAX Professionals sold us a property in which she misrepresented the boundaries…read moreof the property. She stated directly to us and our real estate agent, that the north boundary was a paved driveway. In fact, the driveway is on a perpetual easement 55 feet from the actual line. Ms. Grilli had reason to be fully aware of the boundary, as she represented the seller when he, Scott Oatley, purchased the property just five months before our purchase of the property. When we attempted to contact Ms. Grilli, she refused to talk to us -- suggesting that she knew there was a problem. The seller's agent for the sale to Scott Oatley stated unequivocally that she conveyed the Declaration of Joint and Perpetual Easements to the buyer and his agent. The original easement language was then removed from the property's deed. The disclosure document required by law asks if the seller has documentation of an easement. Oatley responded "No". If Ms. Grilli was unaware of the easement, one might wonder about her competence as a real estate agent since she was the buyer's agent in the April sale. We would not have purchased this property if we had known of the easement. This is not an easement that is easy to ignore and significantly reduces the value of the property. Buyers Beware!

More like Remax Unprofessionals…read more.. Rented a beautiful apartment and the landlord was very considerate when I fell under hard times. Everything was perfect until I had to take one of their creepy maintenance men to court for being more inappropriate than I can even say on this site and should NOT be allowed in the homes of women!!!!! They were very unprofessional when dealing with the situation, the maintenance man had no repercussions from them. I called and said how uneasy I was with him working on the apartment next to me with what he had done, and their response was asking me if I could stay somewhere else for a couple days so he could work on the apartment next door...Me..staying somewhere else...while paying for an apartment...so their awful employee could finish a job. Still disgusted and at this point, more with these business owners who cared more about getting their apartment fixed next door by a perv than the safety of a woman in the building.

I was curious about what others' opinions were about this company since I'd already done business…read morewith them last year. Imagine my surprise when there were glowing reviews of the woman and company with whom I have vowed never to do business again. Bettina Voldemort Monaco was the listing agent for a house we purchased in Cranston last year. Okay, I know -- we bought the house. Job well done. I should mention that we bought the house DESPITE her, not because of her. The transaction nearly fell through on numerous occasions because of this woman. She was rude, abrasive, dishonest, unappreciative, and overall completely incompetent. We fell in love with our house the moment we saw it. After negotiating an acceptable price, I signed the Purchase & Sale documents and sent a check for earnest money as Bettina requested. No sooner was that check mailed on Friday did my agent receive a call from her saying that she had a change of heart and would proceed with a planned Open House the following day. If we wanted her to cancel, we would have to go to her office the following morning with a check for the FULL DOWN PAYMENT. She outright lied, and was certainly in legal gray area for switch-pitching us. We should have walked away, but we wanted this house. Full steam ahead. So, we called our banks, moved mountains to get a cashiers check ready and brought our full deposit as she requested. Did we get a thank you for accommodating her request? Of course not. Was she ready with the documents when we arrived? No. She was put off by the fact that we brought our infant daughter to the signing. I'm not sure if the words "thank you" are part of her vocabulary. The closing was another matter entirely, where she appeared with an unknown colleague to sit in on the document signing. The two women spoke openly in front of my wife and me how "ridiculous" we were. For a person whose career requires a certain degree of affability, she is woefully deficient, not to mention dishonest. I question any organization that employs an individual like this!

Bettina Monaco, who is an agent here was assigned to us though our relocation program. ...all I can say is "WHATTTT?!?!" She's awesome and totally took care of all the small details throughout the whole time... and had the sale go through without a hitch! I have other co workers who I get to hear all these harrowing stories about how crappy of a time they are having with their agents.. and the whole time I'm thinking to myself "this woman took me to my house for our first showing, it's like she could read my mind!" Bettina is amazing, and I would suggest her to anyone who is looking to buy in the East Greenwich area.
