He was actually able to negotiate way below the asking price for us. For the selling part, he was also great. Compared to many of the realtors in the Providence area, Josh takes amazing photos. We almost wanted to move back in after we saw them. He took great care to present our house in the best possible light at the proper time. We ended up getting an above asking price offer within 2 days of listing. Whether buying or selling, I completely recommend Josh as you won't find a hard working or more knowledgeable realtor in Rhode Island.

You want to buy + sell without feeling like you might be taken' for a ride?…read more Well here you go. When you walk into this business you are greeted with a smile + immediately feel like you are at ease. The office is a beautiful boutique on south main. I met with Nelson Taylor-- of Taylor & Company-- who is incredibly responsive + professional. He came highly recommended from 5 different people that I know. He even had me meet his entire staff who were just lovely. I feel like they are going to work with me, not at me or for themselves. Talk about professional. So far--a fantastic first impression from this group of professionals somewhat new to Rhode Island. How refreshing to have the boutique feel of a real-estate agency with the reach of a corporation -- outside of Rhode Island's borders. Exactly what I'm looking for. I 'm not even sure what that other review is on here with 1 star + NOTHING written. What is coming soon? Don't pay attention to that... Parking is a little tough on South Main-- all metered so bring your quahtahs! If you want to look forward to dealing with real-estate-- this is your kinda place.

We ended up working with Raveis by accident, and a happy accident it was!…read more My husband and I went to an open house where we met Sam Glicksman, who was attending in place of the seller's realtor from the same company. We were taken by his wry sense of humor and his no pressure but responsive style. (We had attended multiple open houses where the realtors were pushy, pesky, and/or ignorant, sometimes all of the above.) When it came time for us to pick a realtor, we decided to go with Sam. He was incredibly helpful, communicative, and so timely in responding to our various questions. And now that we've moved, he's also just sent us some paperwork that will help us save on our property taxes. How awesome!

Horrible experience where we were misled, entered into a "VIP Buyer agreement" that was ANYTHING but "VIP", worked with a lender who was recommended and kind but also pushy, we informed everyone from the start we had some taxes to file for my husband's business, and were informed only after we were under contract that we did not meet eligibility requirements to qualify for the RI first time down payment assistance loan in time for our closing due to our IRS payment plan timeline! (FYI- their preferred lender might not explain to you until its TOO LATE that you need 3mos of IRS payments to qualify for this down payment assistance!) Received a verbal extension from seller to extend closing for a week, which we took and decided to eat it on our down payment assistance loan just to get into this property. Turns out no one kept up communication from the seller, who flew in for closing, and they never actually signed the extension. We signed a termination to protect our deposit at 9:30am on a Thursday. Asked for and received NO updates until a text message at nearly THREE AM the following Sunday informing us that the seller had indeed backed out, and signed their own termination of contract?! On the same Thursday we signed ours, at 3:30 PM?! And they had had "no updates" for us for DAYS?! Selling AND buying agents are colleagues at this same agency, yet communication was abhorrent. Complete lack of understanding the urgency of such matters. Thank god we got our deposit and our "VIP" buyer payment for a total of 4k back- that was the ONLY positive to come out of this experience. Never again!!

Sharing our experience in hopes it may help someone else…read more We met with a realtor from the Nathan Clark team to discuss selling our home. The meeting had a very "timeshare-like" feel (highly showy, PowerPoint-driven, and with noticeable pressure to get a yes before leaving). We were told we would be lucky to sell our home for $499,000, and when we shared that we were hoping for a higher price, our expectations were dismissed in a way that felt discouraging and unprofessional. Feeling unsure, we decided to get a second opinion. Long story short, with a different realtor our home was listed for two weeks and sold for over $50,000 more than the price we were quoted by the Nathan Clark team. Afterward, we did more research into the company, which further reassured us that getting a second opinion was the right choice. I would strongly encourage anyone selling their home to explore multiple perspectives before committing.

Zero stars for the unreliable, untrustworthy, and and insensitive Jillian Siqueland. We have worked with Kevin for a few years - and have been nothing but pleased. Jillian, couldn't be more opposite if she tried. After viewing her apartment, we knew we wanted it. We filled out the appropriate background checks, and placed a security deposit. While we could not sign the lease right away, we needed to wait a few weeks for the closing of our home we just sold, we did tell her that we wanted this property. We requested that she call us as soon as another potential renter entered the equation. We continued to visit the property, on three separate occasions, took measurements, and began planning for our new home. Jillian was away at one point, and we spoke with her coworker, assuring him that we wanted this property, too. After not hearing from Jillian for 8 days, we reached back out to confirm our impending sale - and intent to sign a lease within the next couple of days. Jillian coldly let us know that the property had actually been rented to someone else. Despite our agreement to inform us that another renter was interested, instead of calling - as we agreed- Jillian just rented it! I spoke with her in person, and asked why she would go back on her word. Why my deposit meant nothing - not even the ability to have a phone call. I told her that I felt like the rug had been ripped right under us. Jillian, calmly said that this is how she conducts her business. That she had sent an email two days prior asking if we would pay $50 more a month. I told her no such email had been received, and that people who are interested in properties will always respond to their agents. I told her we were going to sign the lease if anyone else even thought about renting it. There had been no doubt in our minds. Come to find out - Jillian sent the email - to an incorrect email address. I found this out through the manager, Ed hardy, who read the email to me. In it was no mention of another renter - and the closing even said "I will call you if someone else rents!" Obviously she never intended to call, nor follow up- and as I said earlier- we didn't even get this email because the address was misspelled. She handed me back my useless deposit check. Jillian said that she was sorry - because this must be "a big pain in the ass." Yes Jillian - it is. And now, it's yours. Never, ever, ever ever work with this wretchedly cold, and useless woman.

Our realtor both times was Ellen Kasle, and she was professional, friendly, honest helpful and kind in every respect. She priced our house properly and it sold immediately, which made the entire process so incredibly easy -- we only had to have one open house and a few additional showings over the course of a single weekend, so getting back to normal life (aka not living in a staged house) was quick and easy. Being first-time buyers and sellers, I felt Ellen was always working in our best interest and made transparence a priority. She helped us prepare the house for selling, gently and honestly told us what needed doing and what not to worry about, and helped us through what was both emotional and exciting with grace and kindness. I wouldn't hesitate to work with Residential Properties of Ellen again -- they're so well-educated, very responsive and total professionals.
