LightRx texted a one-day $9/unit Botox special yesterday for today 12/3. l've redeemed this same $9 special here before as a non-member, so I know it's something they've honored in the past. I called ahead to confirm the price again, was told it applied to non-members, and booked an appointment. After driving 30 minutes in bad weather, I was told the price was actually $12/unit and the $9 rate was for members only-which is their everyday price, not a special. Even after I showed the text, they denied the promotion and tried to sell me a membership instead. They also deducted my Alle rewards despite providing no treatment, and I had to get the points reversed through Allē directly. Luckily I used my Amex and will be reporting them for a chargeback and fraudulent charge if it isn't handled this week. I stopped going to LightRx for treatments and they expect me to continue paying for 10 treatments. I asked for a cancelation and was refused. Now they want me to pay 3500 for the treatments I did receive. I even had a agent call me after my review and berate me for it. Not a good company. They just want your money. read more

These guys are crooks ! In 2017 , they browbeat my deceased wife into taking the program for 10 treatments instead of the one laser treatment she wanted. Of course , she was also suffering from dementia at the time and struggled to make it there one time nevertheless 10 . Furthermore , they refused to offer her either a full or partial refund. The masnager at the time was also very rude and condescending . I understand they have since closed the Okemos office . Great ! I have been having hair removal done on my face that was thick and coarse and so embarrassing. I have PCOS and the hair would regrow so fast. Since receiving the treatments you can barely see the hair any longer and I will be having other areas done in the future. My initial four visits for hair removal of my upper lip area were great, but I was burned during my fifth visit. I told the staff person I felt burning, and she said she was going to do a couple more. I told her no. My upper lip area has black burn marks and I have a blister on my lip. I called and reported it, and was told to email pictures and include a summary of what happened, which I did. A staff person called me back to confirm my experience and said the manager would contact me. So far I have not heard from her. Today is Friday. I came here for laser hair removal and it was extremely inconsistent. Every appointment I would get less and less coverage and when I spoke up about it, I got a rude response back. For this reason, I feel like my laser didn't work as well as it should have. Certain areas got exposure once and then never again. I did although have one appointment that went well and gave me the coverage I believe I payed for. Sadly never got to see that lady again. I recently purchased a laser hair removal from Groupon. First let me start by saying Im someone who tans at the salon year round due to seasonal depression. I have the same skin color year round. I was happy with my first two visits as I was noticing my hair getting minimally thinner. During my 3rd session I told the consultant that she could bump up the laser setting was told 'no because I was too tan.' Which made no sense to me, since I've had the same skin tone during my previous visits and during my last session the lady bumped up the setting to one that made an actual difference in my unwanted hair. I was a little disappointed but hoped it would still do what it needed to. She then proceeded to try to sell me an additional package for $400+. I was a little astonished that she would try to sell me something when I'm already paying for this service and have only seen minimal results after the first two visits. So, when today I went in for my appointment, I was asked by the consultant if I am noticing a difference. I explained how I was not very satisfied with my previous visit and have not noticed a difference since then. Again, the lady told me that the laser would not recognize my tanned skin and she would bump down the laser setting today if I were to get it done. She suggested I not tan the area I'm needing the laser hair removal done and come back in November. So I said I would call them and left without getting my treatment. I'm now sitting in my car after driving 35 minutes for an appt that I scheduled 4 weeks ago. To anyone considering going to this establishment, I'd advise against this place as they are a money hungry business that over promises and under delivers. They'll try to sell you more than what you need just to get you to come back to spend more money. read more

I actually live out of state and make it point to come here when I am in town to get my treatments! The staff is extremely nice and knowledgeable. They help answer any questions you may have and you can tell they have the proper education. Not only is the staff amazing, but the treatments are fantastic. I get laser hair removal (all over haha) and have started with the IPL Photo Facials. I have really noticed a huge difference starting the facials. I am soon to be 30 and want to look like I am 25 ( haha). This treatment has helped smooth out my skin as well as lift a few dark spots I have gotten over the years from acne.
