Sent me a bill for services not preform on me and they are very expensive if your insurance is not helping out.

The doctor then started ripping on my weight. I had to bite my tongue the entire appointment. The doctor acted like he was God saying how he can fix all of my fiance's problems, but he won't even treat my fiance's leaking veins in his legs until he loses 100 pounds. I would not suggest this doctor to anyone. The person doing the ultrasound and the nurses were nice.

Instead of agreeing to help me and discussing a treatment plan, he chose to use more than half of the appointment to tell me about his experience losing 50lbs on a personally-modified Keto diet which entails the patient eat 80% fat daily. I did not come here for unsolicited diet advice, in fact, the last year of my life has been spent traveling back and forth to out of state doctors offices regarding my "fat". I am at the point where surgical removal is necessary. After trying just about every diet under the sun, doing my own extensive research and then losing 150lbs, I think I know a little more about my own body than this doctor......who wouldn't even ask me one detailed question about my food allergies, bloodwork or GI health before assuming that eating a diet consisting of 80% fat is all I'd need to fix everything. What about my leg vein? He won't even discuss his willingness to touch that, or any of the services in general this practice has to offer, until I jump through the hoop of being on this "diet" for 6 weeks. I also used the medically correct term "Lipedema" which he repeatedly switched to "Lymphedema" despite my numerous attempts to get him to stop. The ultrasound I had minutes before had JUST ruled out lymphedema. The 4th time, I think I raised my voice. I have to be pretty heavily provoked to do that. I'm a path of least resistance type person. I had a preference for getting the procedure done at this practice because they have 5 high-tech ways to kill a vein, where the previous place I went to had only one. He tried very hard to steer me back to the first place because "it was so much closer to my home." "So, that's it then? You're just here for a second opinion, right? What else could you possibly need from me? I was just supposed to check what the first place did." At my request, he filled out a referral form for me to be measured for compression garments. I've had a number of these written in the past year (figuring I'd go with the Rx written by the place that actually did the procedure) and the garments he chose for me (with no input from me) were so completely off the mark - if I need whole leg compression, why would he have ordered just over-the-knee? The website reads like they do compression fittings there, but just like everyone else, they DO NOT. All they do for that is send you to a medical supply house for the actual fitting. When I asked him if he would write in that I needed upper arm compression, he got visibly agitated and asked me 5 times in rapid succession why I would even want arm compression to begin with...each time I tried to be polite but again, by the 4th time he asked me the same question, all I could manage was "FOR COMFORT, SIR! DON'T I DESERVE COMFORT THROUGHOUT THE DAY?" To which his response was to shake his head, repeat(for a 5th time) "OK, but I just don't get why you would want any of that." he did write it on the form. The upper arm compression was the only part of that order that was even remotely correct. Total Vein Care - what does the "total" mean here, exactly? It's totally both hilarious and sad to see him carrying this 5lb wad of rubber fat around like it's his pet...but yet he refuses to discuss adipose tissue disease in general. The only humor to be found in this situation is my desire to dress that rubber pet fat glob up like a baby. In the end, whether or not I did this diet would make no difference, his parting words to me pretty much amounted to a decided unwillingness to do this (again, simple) procedure, on my fat thigh. Honey, even with the best keto my thighs are still going to be too fat for you to put your 99% success rate hands on. 35 years experience? K. Y U so afraid of fat people? Why couldn't you let me wipe the goo off and put my pants back on after that ultrasound b4 busting into my exam room without knocking? Because that was super comfortable, too. The office staff was very nice, the person who did my ultrasound was very personable, professional and informative. Since we have to give at least one star, they can have that one. If I could give them a separate rating it would be closer to a 4 or 5. Dr. Landis gets a zero. If you are signigicantly overweight and have been dismissed by this doctor or asked to follow an extremely unhealthy diet plan in order to prove that you deserve a simple procedure, you are not alone.

I had given up after 3 years of having legs like elephants and my foot was 18 inches around. I had seen 2 other vein doctors and was told sorry we can't help you. I said ok, lets do this because you are my last hope. almost 2 years later my legs are back to normal, Lymphedema is under controlled. After 6 years trying to get knee replacements (bone on bone and in a wheelchair because I can't walk the knees are so bad) I have had 7 procedures and with each procedure things got better. The left leg was a struggle and just didn't want to go as good as the right, but we never gave up. Last procedure was done on Dec. 11th, 2025 and my left leg is back to normal now. Lymphedema will never go away but you can control it. I tried everything before I went to Integrated Vascular, Physical therapy, massages, compression boots, exercises, you name it and I got no relief. I can't thank the doctor and staff for all they have done for me. They have changed my life.

I was extremely pleased with both Dr. Shuster and his entire staff. They treated me as if making my legs better was their life's goal. They could not have been any more professional but also had a great sense of humor which helps to alleviate some of the apprehension a patient might have. They explained every step of the procedure and made sure I was comfortable and informed during the entire procedure. I don't know that you could get any better treatment from anyone or anywhere. Some patients may mistake Dr. Shuster's attitude as harsh (it isn't)but it is just that he is more concerned with your treatment and end results than he is winning any personality prizes. If you treat him with respect he will treat YOU with respect! IT's as simple as that! I liked him and his staff very much and his sense of humor was very much appreciated , but make no mistake... he is NOT a joker! He knows EXACTLY what he is doing as does his entire staff! Thanks to Dr. Schuster and his entire staff! Please don't ever change your excellent care! Ron Hensley
