Our company worked with Lightning Press to produce onsite print materials for our event - RoboBusiness 2013. Because of tight deadlines/turnaround times and not being able to wait for shipped items to arrive, a small and nimble local printer on the ground was really a must for us. Keith at Lighting Press was very responsive and helpful right from the beginning. He came back very quickly with pricing estimates, answered questions, and expressed a strong willingness to get the job done despite the quick turnaround. Everything came to us on time as promised and there were no issues with delivery. Since they run a small shop, Keith - who is one of the owners - delivered everything himself and spoke with me in person when he arrived. Even though we weren't given hard proofs because of time constraints, we were very happy with most of the materials when we received them. Of several items, there was only one that had an issue, and the guys at Lightning quickly reprinted the piece and delivered it to us the next morning free of charge. Our print runs were relatively short at about 500 per, but Lighting was very happy to do them for us - often using their digital press, which worked very nicely. I would say their pricing was a little higher compared to other printers we've worked with, but some of this probably has to do with the cost of running a small business in the greater San Francisco area versus other areas of the country (Dallas, Atlanta, Orlando. Pittsburgh) where operating expenses are probably a bit lower. That said, they worked with us on price and really went the extra mile on customer service. I would definitely recommend them and will strongly consider using them again in the future. read more

We requested a quote from Lightning Press for some flyers and a retractable banner - Keith gave a quick and really good quote, and we had a super quick timeline and he was done in like a day! We had a little issue with the banner being backwards in the stand, but Keith printed a whole new banner and delivered it to us within hours, no extra charge. Definitely would highly recommend them! After getting disappointing results in a kinko store, searched yelp for something better. Sent LP the pdf at 5PM and the following morning at 9AM 3 sample prints on different papers waited for me when I arrived to their shop. The service that we received at this shop was just amazing! Almost unbelievable, really. We were in desperate situation and needed new business cards in very short time. Luckily we found the Lightning Press and contacted them. Keith replied in few minutes, we discussed the details over the phone. Shortly after I came to their shop where Keith printed different samples of our business cards and I could compare and choose which design and paper I like the most! In couple days the cards were ready (Keith had to order special paper and it was offset printing). And to my surprise he gave me much more cards than I ordered!
