They started a job, left it unfinished, had me wait 5 days, never came back, and then wanted to charge me $150 to put back the thing they'd taken apart. It was a total scam and a rip-off. My car key was stuck in the ignition so I called Malden Locksmith to fix it. The technician came to my house with his friend 2.5 hours late (6PM on a Thursday) and told me 2 hours after he had started the work, disassembled my steering wheel, AND broken my key off of the transponder that he couldn't finish it because he was missing a special tool. I kept on asking him to explain to me what was wrong and he wouldn't tell me what the problem was OR what the name of the tool was that he needed. He said that his company ordered it just now and it'll be ready only on Sunday evening, so he'll come back early Monday morning 10am at the latest. On Monday I start calling the company at 11AM to find out where the technician is. Long story short, I called probably 10 times over the course of 6 hours - got a different person on the line each time, was transferred to 3 different dispatchers, and each time they told me somebody was on their way and would be there within an hour. I wasted my entire work-day waiting for them to come and finish the job. Each time I asked to be called back or to have the phone number of the technician and they never gave it to me. Eventually, some incredibly rude person at the office tells me at 3PM that the technician will NOT be coming at all because there is a problem with my alcohol blower and he can't fix it - but if I want them to put the steering wheel back on, that will be $150. WHAT ALCOHOL BLOWER??!! I don't have an alcohol blower in my car.... I was furious. They left my car with the steering wheel disassembled and my key stuck in the ignition. To start my car again, I had to put part of the ignition back on and use a wrench while also holding the transponder near it. BEST PART, on Monday I got into my car, sprayed some WD-40 on the key, waited 5 minutes, and LITERALLY PULLED IT OUT WITH MY FINGERS. WTF. How were they unable to do THAT? I have no idea. Eventually, I found a different locksmith at the Watertown Mall next to the RMV and he fixed everything for me, cut me a new key AND cut me a spare for $300 LESS than what Malden Locksmith quoted me for just the one key. I highly recommend them - they're called Finest Locksmith and they are incredible.

Finally it was time to do something. I was sitting at a car dealership waiting for my car to be serviced and I had Yelp find me a locksmith. Within a just a few minutes I had responses from two locksmiths. Star Locksmiths, Bulent, was reasonably priced and at my home the next morning. The install was quick and he rekeyed the lock to match our existing keys.
