Stopped by this place for lunch and selected a safe pick, the barbeque chicken pizza and a soft drink. The ordering was pretty easy and the process was quick without much confusion. The wait time was 10 minutes for the pizza and it came out well, nothing spectacular but decent and tasty. So the slices are gigantic, they tell you that everywhere but I was still not prepared for how huge. 5 free toppings with each slice, price is very reasonable given the amount of food. I got an all meat pizza, meats were delicious, sauce was tangy and sweet, crust was soft if a bit flavorless. Each slice comes with a dipping sauce they make, the staff called it a creamy Thai Ranch sauce. I didn't try it but my wife loved it! We also got their pizza fries, which were fries with pizza seasonings and a marinara dipping sauce. This was amazing but there wasn't nearly enough sauce to go around. Overall it definitely deserved the 5 stars and I will be back soon I'm sure. read more

I travel a LOT for my job and when I get to a new place I always try to check out the local independent pizza scene. And I use Yelp! a lot to help guide my decisions. This review is going to be short and sweet because I don't need many words. Lighthouse is pretty hard to beat! I ordered two different slices, which was great in itself, because normally one is stuck with having to order a whole pie. I finally had an opportunity to really get what I wanted!! I asked the very friendly guy on the phone if they could deliver my order at a specific time convenient for me. I figured this would never happen because NOBODY ever gets it right. But I was pleasantly surprised when I heard the knock on my hotel room door at precisely the time requested- and the stuff was still smokin hot with that crazy stringy cheese we all love! I know that this may not happen very often but the point was that they tried and succeeded!! The dough was tender and tasty with a little crispness to the crust. Quality toppings and generous amounts of them. I'll definitely be back even if I'm not close to Omaha again; I might have to plan a detour!!!! Nice job guys. Still amazing to this day. I like the selection that I can get with my pizza. Try the Thai chicken - I usually get jalapenos and BBQ sauce.. weird combo but soooo good. oh the love-hate relationship i have with lighthouse pizza.......i love it because it's a phenomenal thinner crusted pizza that comes in a huge slice, and i hate it because it's so good and so tempting. I used to live 3 blocks away, and i frequented their drive through. The few time I've gone in, the inside was pleasant, hasn't seemed too packed. The staff and service is what it is - they help you and aren't ruuude persay but they're not putting on a happy face for anyone lol. overall, i've gone countless times and very rarely do they mess up and when they do i am always compensated. OMG! A restaurant that serves pizza and specialty French fry dishes (like nachos) can't go wrong. We each ordered a slice and the Outlaw French fry dish, made with pulled pork, cheddar cheese sauce, coleslaw and then covered in tasty BBQ sauce. The pulled pork tasted like brisket and the Outlaw was delicious. The French fries tasted homemade, too. The size and of the pizza slices covered a whole 9 " plate and are made like New York style, which is my favorite! I ordered a slice of spinach, onion and mushroom pizza was pretty good but they did skimp on the mushrooms. The crust was very good, which is important to me: Toppings of pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese are free. The prices are quite reasonable and the ambiance is good. I don't like pizza, but lighthouse pizza is something that you kind of have to like. Right? They have an array of sauces that you can dress your pizza with, HUGE slices of pizza, and I've never had a slice that wasn't fresh. There's a peanut sauce that's to die for and even the original cheese slice is amazing. It's local, inexpensive for how much you get, and the loaded fries are a great side. This place is wicked unique! Open till 3am Friday and Saturday, this food Haven is a beacon of light for all those late night hunger pains and stumbling cravings. I throughly enjoyed a recommendation of Tiger Fries. Beautiful blend of blue cheese, Buffalo sauce, feta on fries with some sort of secret method. My friends and I all enjoyed 3 different 9" pizza slices. That's right, 9" slices. Trust me when I say that a "slice" as they call it is incredibly filling! BBQ chicken and macaroni with Alfredo and chicken was too die for. There number one most interesting pizza was the Spark. Cream cheese with sausage, Buffalo sauce and pepperoni. Third visit to light house. I do like this pizza joint as it has a decent Menu and prices aren't to bad. As a dad though what I like most is there kids menu options. I mean what kid doesn't like a huge slice of pizza fries or applesauce. I always go with the Thai pizza which is amazing and let be honest a "slice" is a quarter large pizza. On my last visit we also tried the specialty fries. The brisket and bleu option was amazing with such a filling delicious sauce. You truly don't leave here hungry. read more

I've given them a few chances because the pizza is pretty good but EVERY SINGLE TIME they screw up your order. They never give you the correct sauce. I've gotten entirely different pizzas than I've ordered. If you go inside it's the dumbest high school kids screwing around not taking anything seriously. I will never go back. Lighthouse has quickly become one of our favorite places for pizza. They're usually busy, but are quick to clean off tables. We've also gotten our slices to go and taken them over to elmwood park to eat. They do make the slices fresh, so don't go in expecting to grab a piece and go. For a low price, you can choose from a variety of toppings to make your own pizza, or they have several house-sections ready to go. As other reviewers will probably say, a "slice" is a 1/4 of an 18" pizza. The slices are so big, that we are usually able to take part of it home to eat the next day. They also have an option between a honey-wheat crust (our favorite) or a regular crust, and you can choose to use sauce or leave your slice baked. Their fries are also super yummy. We like the outlaw fries-pulled pork, bbq sauce, coleslaw, and nacho cheese. Mmmmmm. We like their veggie pizza and often build our own Hawaiian slice as well. The only reason I'm not giving them five stars is that their pizza is somewhat inconsistent. Sometimes the pizza comes out doughy in a pool of grease, sometimes it's burnt, and other times it's perfectly crispy all around. When it's doughy, we ask them to bake it a little longer, and it usually comes back at the perfect temp. read more

They are so chill there. I'm not trying to sound hipster they are actually so chill. It's nice getting to control what ingredients you want instead of having to pick off stuff. Their crust is pretty good and the ingredients seem pretty fresh. Get a punch card here it's worth it. Everyone can find a 5 dollar bill in their wallet and a few quarters right? Well there's lunch and a snack for later. Normal you would think it would be like 10-15 bucks for that huge slice but it's so affordable and you literally get exactly what you wish for on it. This place used to be great. I gave them the benefit of the doubt last time thinking that it was just an off day. Now I see that this is how food quality and service is with them. My standard is the parmesan/garlic fries and a slice of Bar-B-Que chicken pizza. The last time the crust was dry and burnt as were all of the toppings. The fries were cold, soggy, and greasy. I thought this might have been because we got the food to go and had to drive 5 minutes to get home. I decided to give them another try. When I walked in I had to wait for the worker behind the counter to finish texting or messing around on his phone. No hello, may I help you, or any acknowledgement. I just stated ordering. I decided to eat in today. Perhaps this would make a difference in the quality of the food. Nope. The crust was dry, burnt, stale, and had the consistency of cardboard. It was the wheat crust. It tasted like they made it two days ago and just stuck some toppings on it today and reheated it the oven. The fries were warm today not hot. But they were ok. Best pie in Omaha! Whenever I'm craving a 9in slice of pizza made to order I come here. Drive thru is usually open till 2am. They also have some of the best specialty fries in Omaha. You can customize your pizza with either honey wheat or white dough and then either red sauce or no sauce and finally 5 toppings out of about 40 that they have. This time I ordered a honey wheat Crust with red sauce and 5 toppings which included chicken, spicy chicken, carrots, spinach and buffalo drizzle. A pizza slice also comes with a special sauce which is a mix of honey mustard and ranch id say. I also ordered outlaw fries which had pork coleslaw and cheese! Never disappointed when I come to lighthouse. If you want a great quality pizza slice that can fill two people up come here. read more

On a trip back to Omaha, I stopped by Lighthouse having heard from friends how good it was... and it did not disappoint. The pizza was GREAT -- and in my opinion the best in Omaha. My wife got the Thai Chicken and I got the 'Sparky' -- both were delicious. My son had the kid's meal with Cheese Pizza and fries and he loved it. Lighthouse is the best of the best! Food is fantastic and the sauce is to die for! However, the service is soooo slow. If you go through the drive-thru it typically takes anywhere from 10-20 minutes for your food and inside it's about 15. Don't let the wait put you off though, the workers are extremely nice and the food is 100% worth the wait! If you are new to Omaha or just visiting, check it out! It is definitely an Omaha staple. We discovered this place when we first moved to Omaha last summer while out just driving around randomly. We stopped in and really enjoyed it. We've only been back a couple of times because we usually avoid this entire area of town like the plague but we definitely are fans of Lighthouse. As everyone has said, the slices are huge. It's five bucks and change for a slice but it's easily the size of two slices anywhere else and the price is more than fair. We've had cheese, pepperoni, the standards, and they are always good. I had the Thai chicken pizza slice the last time we stopped by and it was good. My favorite is the buffalo chicken slice. Give it a shot! I don't love how thick the end crust typically is but they do give you some sort of dipping sauce for the crust, if you are into that kind of thing. I enjoy it. In reading some of the reviews, I see some comments on apathetic service but we haven't encountered that. It's always been pretty good for us. Do they act like they want to be our best friends? No, but they do their jobs just fine. At least that's been our experience. As a general rule, I have been very disappointed with the pizza by the slice options in Omaha. I know it's not the east coast but every place we've tried has been pretty disappointing outside of Lighthouse. So, if you want a giant slice of pizza, stop on by and give them a shot. I'm always surprised when people have never heard or even experienced Lighthouse Pizza when I overhear someone asking for pizza recommendations. It's basically the only pizza place I have told people to go to while being in college for the past few years. The way they cook their pizza is way more delicious than any other place I have ever had and the prices for the 9" slice is great too. If I don't get pizza there I lean towards the tiger fries which are also amazing. I think what keeps me coming back is their sauce though. It is just too good that I always have to order extra. The employees are also super friendly and seem fun to work with. And the delivery drivers are also kind and get your order to you at a decent time, it does take a bit, but it's worth the wait. I never thought I'd find a pizza place that could rival Zio's in terms of thin crust pizza, but I did! Lighthouse Pizza has a fantastic thin crust (two, actually - original and honey wheat) that is sturdy enough to support 5 toppings, yet still has a great, light crispiness. I'm not sure which pizza to recommend, as I have enjoyed all that I've tried! The service is great, too. The pizzas are usually ready in just a few minutes, but if you want to start with some fries beforehand, they can hold off on the pizza slices for a short bit. Speaking of fries, I know which if those to recommend: garlic parmesan. Hands down. The poutine wasn't the best, the BBQ ones were okay, but my whole family enjoys the garlic parmesan. Excellent food -- terrible customer service. :( Both employees seemed to be put out by my presence vs happy to have customers (during lunch hours during the week -- not say, at closing time, when this would be understandable). I told the one guy that this was my first time there and he walked away rather than give me some suggestions (or even say "well, welcome!"). Seriously, dude. Half of my order was filled and the other half was lost / never made so I sat there waiting (obviously waiting...and looking at them / the kitchen every couple of minutes) for my own meal while my child ate hers (not totally unheard of for a restaurant to serve a young child before their parents as to keep them happy so I didn't think too much of it when they delivered hers and not mine as the number was still at our table indicating they would be bringing more food to us). After a half hour+ went by and watching people that I knew for certain had arrived well after we did getting their slices, I asked about mine and they again seemed put out that they had to DO something (anything. specifically this time, it was to ask the cook about the missing slice and have it made). I got zero sympathy for having to wait so long (we did have somewhere to be at a certain time) and by the time I finally got my slice, we had to leave moments later and which point I got a super insincere half-apology about "the wait". I will say that the food was delicious (my daughter's and mine) -- but the service was truly the WORST I've experienced in a long long time. I have a customer service and food service background and that is not how you keep customers and keep your doors open. You have to treat people well and like you appreciate them choosing to spend their money with you as there are plenty of other places they could be doing so. When mistakes are made, you need to own them and apologize and make it right. You don't act like the customer is somehow at fault or annoying you by bringing up the fact that they never received their (lost) order. Food service folks have the opportunity to make or break peoples' days. A kind employee can turn a crappy day around during a lunch break! Conversely, apathetic, rude cashiers / servers can turn an otherwise great day sour. Owners should hire and reward folks who bring in business and keep their clients happy. And if you're hungover, or disgruntled, or otherwise hating your job -- go work somewhere that doesn't require interactions with other humans. :( meh. read more

We have been coming to lighthouse for years. Never have we encountered bad customer services until tonight. During ordering through the drive thru I asked for regular fries but tried to change my order to garlic Parmesan fries but the guy wasn't answering. So we pulled up and I told him right away I didn't want regular fries and wanted garlic Parmesan fries with two extra light house sauces. He closes the window and comes back and told me "sorry they are already made" and I asked him if they could make us garlic Parmesan fries. So he shuts the window and goes and talks to everyone standing there. About a couple minutes later someone else comes to the window and takes my card and hands me our food. We pull away and see that they infact gave us regular fries when we told them we did not want them. They also did not include the extra sauces. We went inside and the same lady that handed us our food was standing at there(she said she was the manager?). We told her what happened and she gave us our money back for the fries. Then I get Home and my custom pizza has no red sauce on it. Definitely sounds like this place is starting to go down hill. read more

Some places sell pizza by the slice and I always have to get 2 cause 1 just doesn't quite cut it. The Lighthouse folks have got it right, though. A slice is actually 1/4 of a large pizza and comes in its own box with a side of their sweet dipping sauce. It's a thin crust pizza with a thick outer crust that I would ****(I'm writing this review in the drive through and the pizza was done by the time I got to this point) **** compare to Zio's but cheaper, faster and with better service. Pretty decent pizzas, although a little on the oily side compared to other places I've been in the Omaha area (eg. Orsi's or Via Farina), so I would suggest takin a towel and dabbing it a little.
