Super happy with Light House Dental. Being I haven't been to the dentist in some years my teeth "were" pretty messed up but today I had my appt for my upper right teeth to be cleaned and filled and I must say the Dr. And specially Janelle did a crazy good job, looks like I have all new teeth just from the filling job she did! I can't wait to be back next wednesday for my 2nd appt with her to do my upper left side of my teeth! No more hiding my smile or avoid smiling! Bottom line - you want a good, honest and sincere dentist, then here is the place. I came here after botched and embarrassing work that I figured I would have to live with. Not only did this man make me feel good about myself and his ability, but after the first procedure, which was just temporary work I looked 100% better and burst into tears. There are people who go into business to make money and those than have a gift and want to make others better, I don't have to tell you what his calling was. I only wish I had found him years ago before all the money and drama that ruined my mouth. As a parent and grandmother I recommend him for all ages, and it goes without saying when the doctor is of this caliber, his staff follows suit. read more

This was the WORST experience I have ever had at a dental office. I came in just for a cleaning and the hygienists were really rough and inattentive. They made me gag twice (and I have never had a gag reflex from a cleaning before in 33 years of regular dental visits) and my teeth felt horrible after - it was the most pathetic excuse for a cleaning I can imagine. When the Dr. came to talk to me I wondered if he just graduated yesterday. He seemed really unsure of himself and like he didn't really know what he was talking about. He came and looked at the X-rays and talked to me for less than a minute and then started to leave before he said "oh yeah, I need to take a look at your teeth". He almost forgot to look in my mouth even once!!! Do NOT go here for any reason! Much less important than the quality of the dental care but still a big part of my experience, there was country music blaring really loud the whole time (including what felt like a 10 minute live version of "Friends in Low Places") and the whole office smelled funny and felt dingy. I still can't believe I stayed for my appointment. read more

I am new to the area and arrived 15 min late for a cleaning - drove from 30 minutes away in North Boulder, and missed the exit due to construction. The receptionist knew I was traveling from Boulder. Was told the doctor left early for lunch (11 a.m.). No call, no notification. I guess they do not need business, and\or don't care about wasting people's time. Traffic was heavy and I was driving in an unfamiliar area or I would have called. But regardless, nobody called to let me know my appointment had been canceled. The receptionist said the dentist was not answering her call and she would have to reschedule my appointment. Taking my business elsewhere. Was also told on the phone that separate appointments have to be made after getting X-Rays for a cleaning. Just an FYI for people who don't have that much time to spend on getting a simple cleaning done. read more

I originally wrote a good review when I had only a cleaning done. I went back a month later to have cavities filled (June) since then I have been in pain which just kept getting worse (October now). I went to a new dentist who said that one of the teeth they filled in necrotic and the nerve is infected. It will be a whopping $3000 to fix as I no longer have dental insurance like I did when I went to lighthouse dental. I hate to write bad reviews but this should not have happened and now I have to pay out of pocket to repair the damage caused by poor dental work. Maybe the dentist should do all cavity work from now on and not let hygentis do it (I see on Google reviews others have had similar experiences at this dentist). read more

This dental office is awesome. The staff is friendly and they can get you in quickly, sometimes the same day. I chipped my front tooth and she fixed it and the other two teeth with ceramic filler. They look like lumineers! They don't even look like the same teeth! I'm able to smile again without being embarrased. read more

My Husband loves this place. He needed emergency care, and after being referred by another Dental Office, he felt that was the best call he made. They worked with us for payments and always took care of us in a timely manner, never waiting more then 10 min after arriving, and always treating my family with kindness. His wife had great energy and conversated with my kids and I the whole time making us both feel as if we we were a part of their beautiful family. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE. Front office is completely incompetent. On 3 separate occurrences, this Dentist's office failed to do what they told me. The last time I left there I confirmed what they were SUPPOSED to do to file my request for dental work through Medicaid. The clueless girl at the front confirmed for me 3 times, and I even said to her "I hope I don't have to call back in 2 months to find out you didn't do it." Guess what? They didn't. I dunno if it's because I am on Medicaid (Though I suspect that it has more to do with my HIV status). When I called to complain that they had failed to do what they were supposed to do, the girl who answers the phone on the 13th ring and then puts on hold for 10 minutes told the Dentist I was rude to her, for which, he CHASTISED Me. Never apologized for their error. And then, though I have never had pain from local numbing injections before, when he put it in and I cringed, he pushed harder. THIS IS NOT THE DENTIST YOU WANT. And shock of all shocks, for the 3rd time, they failed to file the claims I confirmed they would. AVOID AVOID AVOID. read more

Terrible customer service from the office manager. Beyond rude and insulting. No apologies from anyone but Jenelle, who shouldn't have had to apologize in the first place for the office manager's rude behavior. Will not return. Also I had a front tooth replaced and it was one of the most traumatic experiences of my life. I have never even had a cavity and went in to get my front tooth fixed as it was hit several years ago and was turning greyish. Instead of letting me know what they were going to do, they started drilling away at my front tooth and soon I felt no tooth there and freaked out and started crying. I had no idea that's how you fix a tooth, I thought a cover would be put on the old one. Anyways, I go to the special lab to get my new tooth and the ladies machine isn't working so she matches the color with little samples in a dark room.... I get the new tooth in and it is greyer than my natural tooth. So I have to pay to have it done again, and it still is dark. Avoid this place at all costs. Absolutely terrible. read more

They were really nice my first appointment but when I still had a ton of pain weeks later and felt like there was something wrong with the filling they did I went back to have them look at it. The dentist (to be fair not Sefcik the other one) was completely rude. I told him chewing and flossing hurt as well as all temperature liquids. He said it was fine. I told him when I used mouth wash I was in extreme pain like there was a cavity there. He tried to tell me what kind of pain and where I was having it and that it was normal. I told him specifically which teeth and he didnt listen. He said he doesn't like alcohol mouth wash anyways. It was alcohol free which I informed him and he brushed it off. He did lower the filling so my bite wasn't so high and I left. Literally days later the whole filling fell out! So I went back in again and they refilled it. Now again a few weeks later I am still in pain!! I didn't even have pain before my first visit and I've been in pain since April!! The filling feels weird just like before and I'm sure it's about to fall out again! The tooth next to it feels like it was filed down too far and it feels sharp and weak now. I can't drink anything or eat anything without pain. I'm terrified to go back and have them fix it again, not to mention the receptionist I called about this all sounded like I was a burden to her or something. It wasn't polite. Not outwardly rude but maybe "stuck up." So I made an appointment and ended up re-thinking it and cancelling. So dissapointed!! read more

I give this no Star, worst dentist ever, please do not go to place. First appointment they said they think I have a bunch of cavity, they think? I said no thanks, then months later went for a checkup and they said I need to have my crown re-done because my tooth is rotting under it. I should have said no! Now I may have to find another dentist to fix my tooth after what they did to it. It took them 6 or more months to get my crown first one they put in had a hole in it, and Dentist actually told me that it was fractured and that it would be fine to leave it that way! I had them make a new one and the second one took four weeks like the first one, every time I had to call them and ask them if my tooth was done and they never knew where it was? They never knew what was going on, and I have major tooth pain now. I called them and asked what to do about pain they told me to take Tylenol and wait for my appointment and I was in extreme pain, I said is that your best advice and they said yes. Now the second crown has a gap collecting food and is causing problems and pain, one of the fillings they did has fallen out. WARNING DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. I wish I could give lower. This place needs to be reviewed by the board of Dentistry- horrible horrible place. I went there due to my insurance situation - ( Medicaid at the time) this was also an emergency. I had a bad infection , went in - they took ex-rays and Dr " Greg" ( or as I refer to him( Dentist of dome) barley examined my teeth- gave me a prescription for an antibiotic and told me time for bottom dentures. I was getting married the next day. In shock my fiancé and I filled the prescription, I took the pills began to feel better and had a wonderful wedding. Went back to Dr Doom ( although I was so very hesitant) 5 days later and seeing me for all of five minutes - tells me it's time for a full set of dentures - wants to pull all teeth ( top and bottom) now let me tell you, my top teeth are fine, no problems and all veneered ( WTF) my husband and I walked out and he said I know you are fearful of dentists, but this makes NO SENSE. I had to agree, I was in shock to say the least. Plus they were going to do all this - pull every tooth in my mouth, fit me with dentures and tell me I would be fine to go on my Honeymoon trip in 4 weeks ( again this place is scandalous). Long story short , went to my Husbands long time Dentist, who instantly made me so so comfortable, knowing my fear and telling me, why in the world would anyone tell you to pull all your teeth. After nearly 3 years, I have all of my teeth, but a top back molar, that really needed to be removed, I have all of my teeth and my smile looks fantastic. This so called dental office is only after the insurance money - and I suspect taking advantage of those on Medicaid ( and making lots of money off of it). I have read reviews where people are actually having (omg) their natural teeth removed for full dentures - WAKE UP- PLEASE GET A SECOND OPION. These dentists are not thinking about you ( any REAL dentist with a soul - wants to save your natural teeth). It's all about the insurance money. They should be out of business. They prey on people who can't afford better, and I tell you - PLEASE THERE ARE BETTER WAYS AND ADMIRAL AND HONEST DENTISTS WHO REALLY CARE AND WILL WORK WITH YOU !
