I can't thank this company enough. We went through several that quoted us low and then gave us the run around and would say they had problems with the drivers. Then say they found a driver for double the original quote. These guys gave us a quote and stuck to it then found a driver quickly. The entire process they communicated with us, both the dispatch and the driver. Not to mention that the two men had great communication with one another. I try to do business with this company twice. Twice over promise and under deliver. Never answer their call, never came to pick up the car and never give back the deposit. I left a $75 deposit to have my car pick up. They said vehicle will be pick up Tuesday, but never did. I call them back about 20 times but they never answer. They never refund my deposit; I had to talk with the banker to get my money back. Worst company ever. Will never do business with them. Minivan was transported from Pembroke Pines, FL to Canton, MI. Jon Spencer initiated the order and was one of the few who could provide a driver quickly. I spoke with him on Wednesday, he had a driver who could pick up that Saturday with a drop off estimated for Monday!! (although the driver ended up arriving Tuesday morning). Jon was friendly, helpful and professional. The price was less than some of the online quotes I was getting but not as cheap as one a broker was promising. However, Jon was in constant contact and I believe he was correct that I was probably gonna get bumped up by the other guy. I was always able to reach him or Oscar whenever I needed an update (NOT TRUE for many other transport outfits). If the actual driver did not get back to me Oscar followed up and I got the information I needed. After getting overwhelmed by responses I am glad Jon Spencer contacted me and Oscar followed up on the shipper. The pickup and dropoff were quick, the price was reasonable, the communication was excellent (so important) and my car arrived safely without any damage. Highly recommend them! read more

I have never written a review for a company/item in my life. But I found it IMPERATIVE to write a review regarding this company. This company is the most unreliable group of professionals I have ever met...I can't even call them professionals. I should have looked at their reviews online a bit more carefully on Yelp before trying to book through them (anyone interested in this company, PLEASE go read their Yelp reviews first). I had talked with their representative Oscar, who had given me a good rate and assured me daily that my car would be picked up on X date. I literally contacted him daily to ensure this as it was absolutely essential that my car arrive in the designated state I was moving as I work in Health Care at the hospital and would have needed my car to get to and from work. On the day before pick up, I reached out to Oscar to establish pick up time and he ignored my phone calls and texts. On the day of pick up, the company GHOSTED me. I had tried to contact the owner "Jon" via the number provided, and instead it was an employee who answered pretending to be Jon (they had an accent and sounded completely different than the "Jon" in the voicemail). I mention this point because i had left many voicemails for "Jon" about why my car wasn't getting picked and why I hadn't heard anything, but he had not been returning my call. Instead, their employee impersonated "Jon" to make their claims more believable. Their claims - "the driver is not answering their phone call we do not know where they are". Total Crap. And then at 8 PM I get a phone call from Oscar with him saying how it was the drivers fault and that he was unreliable and they didn't know where he was but that they found him and he is getting my car the next day. First of all - you employed this driver, if he is unreliable that is a direct reflection of how your company is run. Second of all - do you think I would let your unreliable driver pick up my CAR after the crap your company put me through? I ended up going with a different company altogether when I NEVER heard back from Lighthouse Auto on THE DAY OF PICK-UP AND THE FOLLOWING DAY. Do not trust these people. Dealing with Lighthouse Auto Transport was very easy. The coordinator we worked with, Jon, was polite, capable and he laid out the process clearly. Jon coordinated a driver when other transport companies couldn't deliver. The driver with which we were connected was kind and courteous. The process from beginning to delivery was simple and stress free. I would have given 5 stars but the price was a little more than we wanted to spend. Unbelievably bad service from an untrustworthy company! Lighthouse Auto Transport will trash your car, deliver it months late, and then try to overcharge you on delivery. Charles Walker gave me a transport quote on 3/28/15 (quote #145709-ZD) and said it would ship the following week. I followed up with John Spencer early the following week, and he confirmed the schedule. It took Lighthouse almost two months to deliver a vehicle I urgently needed! When the car finally showed up (on 5/17/15), the windshield was smashed, and my EZ-pass was stolen from the vehicle. The antenna was also mangled, and the security screws had been ripped out of the front bumper where the front license plate was torn off. Then the driver demanded $105 more than I'd been quoted. When I wouldn't pay this additional bribe, he loaded my car back on the truck and left with it! After days of unanswered calls to Lighthouse, it wasn't until I threatened to file a stolen vehicle report to the police that my vehicle was returned (on 5/24/15), with the explanation that the driver had mistakenly been offered a higher amount than me, and a promise from Lighthouse to refund for the $105 difference I had to pay the driver. After dozens of calls (four to Danny on 5/21 and 5/22, and sixteen to John Spencer on 6/10, 6/15, 6/16, 6/17, 6/19, 6/22, 7/6, 7/14, 7/15, and 7/20), and numerous promises from both that the refund would just take another day or two, I still do not have my refund! To top it all off these crooks claim that their insurance doesn't cover a smashed windshield. (Sorry if all the detail is overkill, but I noticed they challenge all their negative review with "we've never heard of this person"/"that never happened"/etc.) read more

John Spencer is fake as hell and puts his best face forward when he needs your business but as soon as he takes your deposit he is nowhere to be found after multiple calls and text msgs. He charged my card a higher amount than what he stated the deposit would be. I've called multiple times and he only responded with a text msg saying "how can I help you". I told him he over charged my card and I would like a refund of the balance he took, he said he'd look into it but 3 days later I still haven't heard anything. I had to end up disputing that transaction with the bank. I've also been asking for a copy of the contract and he has yet to give it to me and my car is already in transport!! We shipped two different cars to two different states through this company and had a fantastic experience. Jon was able to get next day service for our car we couldn't move to our new duty station and transport the following week for my son's car he will be using for college. This was the only company that did not home the price up at every opportunity. As one who has shipped cars several times with project changes, I can tell you this company should be avoided at all costs. They supplied my driver with the wrong address and phone number so the driver could not contact me for the drop off. And so the driver kept the car and took it to a storage lot in another state (8 hours away). Lighthouse would not respond to email or phone calls! Charles neglected to inform me that I would need my car registration when I arrived at the Hilo dock, he also failed to inform me that I would need my insurance card. I had to find out this information on my own. In the end I decided to cancel my shipping and was promptly refunded my money from Matson but your company has failed to refund my $200.00. I contacted Charles by phone twice and by email once when I decided to cancel. He was very slow in responding and when he did he was unprofessional and rude with this response by email : "Wow lady calm down. All the information was given to you, if you were having a bad day don't take it down on us. I will inform the billing department. Good Bye" One month passed and I had yet to hear from or be contacted by the billing department. I called Charles again and left a message but have never received a return call or email. I have now disputed the charge with my credit card company. You are one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with and I am beginning my quest to provide, based on my experience, as many online reviews of your company and poor customer service. read more

John does not return calls. I left my first message on July 26th questioning why he told my friend she could pay the balance for the car transport owed by credit card when her car was delivered when she could not. When the driver brought her car, he demanded a cash payment. He said he would also accept a cashier's cheque or money order. It seems like this company is very quick to take your deposit but who cares what happens on the back end when they deliver your car? Will report to the Better Business Bureau. You provide a service here but you are clearly not concerned about building a relationship with your customers. It is purely transactional with no follow through. I called John three times and he never returned my calls even though his voicemail says he will get back as soon as possible. I would not recommend this company because of the lack of customer service/follow-up and deceptive practise of telling people what they want to hear on the front-end and not caring what happens on the back-end. read more
