I dealt with Joe Pein and he lied to me every step of the way. I was forced to file a claim with my bank against this company. Joe lied about the deposit being fully refundable all the way until same day of transport - which got me to book the deposit. He lied about the deposit being $600 and then i was charged $820. I wound up reading the fine print on the website which specified very different terms (Deposit must be sacrificed if not cancelled with 72 hours of transport and $75 being non-refundable). So I made sure to cancel as soon as I knew I didn't need the transport. I have called 3 times to cancel transport and all three times there has been some excuse or lie to push the time out. Luckily I could tell something was off and sent a timestamped e-mail that I can provide to Bank of America for the dispute. I called on Friday December 19th and was told I would be called back on Monday 22nd because he wasn't in the office. No call received, I called again the 22nd was told they would cancel and send me confirmation. Never got confirmation. So I called back again on the 28th because I was getting texts from the driver asking where to finalize the pickup which should have been cancelled. Was told they don't know what happened but I would get called back Monday the 29th. It's now Tuesday the 30th and Joe still hasn't followed up. So I've open a claim with my bank and they will take care of it. Thankfully I have Bank of America and they deal with these things properly. Moral of the story is I was lied to every step of the way. They also aren't a transportation company, they are just brokers, which Joe was very misleading about. Stay far away from these guys. Luckily Bank of America will deal with this. I don't write many reviews and I have never written a negative review, that should tell you something about how much Joe lied to me through this process. I first went to one of those online websites where you put in your information and what you need shipped, and you get contacted by all kinds of different shipping brokers. How it works is you decide on a broker, then the broker finds the person to ship it. I did contact several of those brokers back, one being Joe Pein and Ed Pein with Get It Done Transportation. After doing my research I decided to give them my business. Were they the cheapest? No. Were they the most expensive? No. But Joe and Ed are the owners. The other brokers I contacted were just employees working for the broker. You get what you pay for. The transporter Ed got me was great. He was based out of Nashville that has been transporting vehicles for over 30 years. He texted me pictures and called with updates all along the way. I booked my car shipment with Get It Done Transportation Inc. after they gave me a quote and quickly pushed me to make the payment. Once I paid, we scheduled the pickup for Saturday. By Friday, no one had contacted me, so I asked for the driver's phone number to confirm pickup details. They kept making excuses and refused to give it to me. When I called David, he said he would "send it right away," but nothing came. I called again--same answer, still nothing. By Saturday, he stopped answering my calls completely. As expected, no driver ever showed up. I waited the entire day for nothing. On Monday, they told me the driver's truck "broke down," but later another broker told me Get It Done never even assigned a driver in the first place. He farmed out the shipping to someone who barely spoke English, and wanted to pick the car up at 9 o'clock at niget. She got pissed and said I'm passing on this job. Then it took two more days to pick it up. Then the car disappeared for over a week. I called and texted. He said he'd call me right back. Didn't happen. I can't stress enough how STRESSED I was to have this task assigned to me. Transporting a car from Michigan to Texas in a crazy weather storm. I called about 10 different companies, some lying, and some telling the truth (at least I think they were). Overall, I contacted Joe at "Get It Done Transportation" and his knowledge and explanation of the whole process was not only greatly appreciated but he was completely transparent with possible issues and the entire process from the time my call was made to the delivery. The driver connected with me on pick-up and drop-off. Both the Driver and Joe were extremely respectful and kept me in the loop while transporting. I would say my only issue was that the payment was not all upfront. I was able to pay 1/3 via credit card and the other 2/3 upon arrival. Which I understand that they want to ensure that my jeep would arrive safely, but I did have to use Zelle, a cashier's check or cash for the remaining balance. Luckily it wasn't an issue, but I did think, what if I didn't have that cash all up front? Otherwise, I feel like the process was very smooth. In 2022, I left an honest review about how trash they are and their lack of communication. They begged me to take it down, and I honestly felt sorry for them; however, this time the review is staying up. I just completed a cross-country move; I decided to utilize a company that I was familiar with to transport my vehicle. I spoke with David Pein on 08/10 to book my transport and pay the necessary deposit. He gave me my pick-up date, which was supposed to be 08/29, and assured me my vehicle will be delivered before the day that I needed it. I called David Pein again on 08/22 to confirm all the details and make sure I am getting a rental vehicle for the amount of days I would be without my vehicle. David stated everything was fine and confirmed my vehicle will get picked up on 08/29 after work like we planned and it would be delivered on 09/04 the latest. On 08/28, I get contacted by Ed Pein saying that they are having a hard time booking my transport, and this new company wants $400 more on delivery, due to me being the only one that's moving from the west coast to the east coast during that timeframe. Why did David tell me everything was fine and gave me fake details when I spoke to him on 08/22, and now the other brother is saying it was never booked? I told Ed Pein I need my vehicle picked up on 08/29 like we originally planned, and he says okay and still books this transport with the company that is charging $400 more. 08/29 comes around, and I have to call both brothers a total of 6 times to get them to answer the phone. Ed sounded so annoyed like I'm actually inconveniencing him. I told him that the transport company canned me earlier to tell me they can no longer pick up my vehicle on 08/29; the transport company literally stated "09/01 is a holiday, so we will come 09/02". Ed assured me he would get the shipment rebooked because, as I stated, I needed it picked up by 08/29. 4 hours later, I contacted Ed for any update, and he's like "oh, the carrier didn't call you? They are delayed, so the company will pick up your vehicle on 09/01 now". Ed has no care or regard for his clients' needs. I paid my deposit because I thought we agreed on a set delivery schedule. I contacted Ed to tell him I don't like the way this is being handled. If this was such a difficult job, then my deposit should've been refunded to me. I honestly believe he told me he will get my shipment rebooked just to get me off the phone. I tell Ed how his brother lied to me on 08/22, and how this has been one big runaround, and Ed immediately puts me in a group chat with his brother with the goal of what I can only assume was to intimidate me. Fast forward to today, 09/05. I contacted both brothers to let them know when I booked. I explicitly stated I needed my vehicle by 09/04 because I have to travel about 300 miles north for work. Once again, they provide no resolution. They state the carrier can leave the car in my driveway, but I will have to Zelle them. I tell them that I was paying in cash, and their answer to that is Zelle them. I am not made of money, and my bank doesn't allow same-day deposits for the amount of money I had to take out to pay for this shipment. I contact the shipping company and they state "the driver has 6 more stops in Georgia before you". I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE SHIPPING A CAR TO GEORGIA ED!? Get It Done refunded the amount from my deposit back to me so I could pay the driver and keep the overall price as quoted. * I was almost always able to contact the company by phone. * Vehicle arrived safe and sound. The Not So Good * Pickup was 2 days later than promised * Delivery was 3 days later than promised * No responses to emails or texts...always had to call them. * No tracking of shipment was provided...after many daily requests. I finally called the actual shipping company to find out when the truck would be arriving (Get It Done are brokers...they hire out the shipping). Otherwise I had no visibility as to when the vehicle would be arriving. * I never received any acknowledgement of the order after I paid the deposit, or a confirmation of the COD amount. Thankfully the person who shipped the vehicle texted me a copy of the bill of lading from the shipper. Otherwise I would have never known the COD amount was higher than quoted. This review I am extremely displeased with my service with Get it Done transportation. I received a quote from the for transport of my vehicle from Massachusetts to California for $1690. I confirmed I was told the deposit would be $190. I was instructed by to give my information over the phone as it would be easier. 2 days later I am charged $290. I texted joe about this which he explained that since he is so expensive they have to give a higher deposit but it would be the same total. I am guaranteed pickup +/- 2 days of my selected day which was June 23. I had to call Joe to be told that my my car could not be picked up June 23 and again June 24 and guaranteed it would be June 27. Come Monday I am told there is nothing and someone can pick it up Wednesday June 29 for $1840. I communicated my displeasure with Joe and Dave (company boss) and he said he would comp $75 so my total amount paid would be $1765 which I agreed with. My car was picked up June 29 and upon arrival to California The truck driver communicated that the price for shipment was $1650 per Get it Done transportation. I called Joe and Dave with no answer. Ultimately paid the driver 1650 to get the process over with. I then called both Joe and Dave with delayed responsive and repeatedly told they would look into it. 1.5 weeks later no response. At the end of this service I have spent $290 + $1650 = $1940. I feel conned through this process and hope no others have to go through a similar. I used Get It Done Transportation to transport a classic car from a dealership in Los Angeles to Northern California. I had a VERY positive experience with Joe and his amazing, patient driver. Get it Done was able to pick up my car the very next day, and deliver within 24 hours of pick up. Where they stand out is how they handled the dealership where my car was being picked up from. Dealership did not have the car ready(they had been given 3 weeks notice), and expected the driver to wait for 3 hours!! As I "went postal" on the dealership, Joe and the driver remained calm and we were able to pick the car up without issue, eventually. The car was transported in an open container trailer with a new model 1 ton Dodge Cummins Diesel. The driver was very professional, on time and handled a classic car brilliantly. I was in constant communication with Joe who always updated me on ETA's on both ends. Price was very fair. Dealership where car was purchased quoted me $200- higher than Joe. I should have gone with a larger company. Get It Done seems to be only a transportation broker, and has limited knowledge of who is actually driving the truck with your car, or if they are reliable. I want to have a smaller business during this challenging economic time, but it didn't pay. The car arrived in fine condition -- a day late, at 1am -- but the people at Get It Done never knew where it was, who the driver was, or when he would arrive. If I could give this company a zero, I would. We're a military family that moved across the country so we decided to ship our cars instead of driving cross country. We were expecting our cars to be picked up on a Monday and due to a "fender bender" with the driver they were unable to pick up our cars until the wee hours of Saturday morning. This was after days of empty promising that they would be picked up. One of the employees insisted that he was helping us out by "eating the cost" of using a different carrier, as if we played a role in the inconvenience. In the meantime I had already left the state due to a purchased airline ticket and had to rent a car. We finally received our cars a week and change after the scheduled date. Joe made it clear that he would not prorate the cost of the delivery even though I had spent over $500 in rental cars while I waited for our cars to arrive. His rationale was that I could have cancelled at anytime during the process and he would have refunded. However, if it weren't for the empty promises of the cars being "picked up the next day", every time we spoke, I would have. Despite my efforts to confirm the timeline on May 3rd, I received no response. On May 5th, I spoke directly to David Pein who promised a call the next day with details--he never called back. On the day of the move, starting from 10:34 AM, I desperately tried to obtain an ETA for the driver as my entire military move hinged on this schedule. David kept making empty promises about heading to the office or contacting the driver, yet I received nothing but silence. Their incompetence has caused me a significant delay. If zero stars were an option, that would be my rating. The customer service and communication are utterly deplorable. A+ rating we wish we had went with Get It Done from the beginning. Kind of a long story but definitely a happy ending thanks to this company. The original company may have baited me with a low price, they lacked providing personal connections and details about options. We were asked if the car was running and given the quote. Suddenly Several other businesses began contacting us with similar or lower quotes via text, phone and email. This was all new to me. I could write a novel about how it felt like the 1st company misled me and a week later when the driver went to pick up the car and how he couldn't start it - or didnt know how to start a vintage VW I was told too bad so sad - driver wasn't prepared for a car that didn't run. (The car started and ran fine the day before - ) hmmm.....then I am told I have to start at step one and wait to see IF they can get a different driver with a winch to agree to pick the car up. Long story, longer - I felt uneasy about it all because well I knew the car would start. Get It Done was one of the other companies who contacted us after we hired the 1st one. The representative was very helpful and offered to assist in the future if we still needed the car moved and wanted to GET IT DONE. When I contacted the 1st company asking for reassurance about when we could expect to get the car moved, it felt like I was given the run around because they were not always responsive and when they were it was usually with "we are trying" type of replies. When I asked what my other options were in case I wanted to cancel, I was told I would lose my entire deposit of $145. I was not happy about this since I now have quotes from other companies with better accommodations for the same or less price. I decided to make the decision to cancel and hire a much more reliable company to GET IT DONE. Did they ever! Dennis went to work and was prepared and got a truck for us the next day that had a winch (in the event it wouldn't start) Whatta ya know, the car started up and we had it picked up yesterday and delivered first thing this morning. Dennis the representative was in contact every step of the way. Even the truck driver, who reassured us the car was in good hands and provides a map pic of his ETA. They are really good at making you think they are a quality service but they are not even involved in any transportation they only sell your contract to the lowest cost and fastest bidder they are snakes when things go wrong. DO NOT HIRE THEM!!!!! You will be without communication and without recourse as they stop returning your communication once they get their deposit clear from your bank!!!! Snakes in the grass with great story's to tell you about why they are actually honest! There was no constant contact, I was told pick up on 2/29, then the contract went to a carrier that wanted to pick it up 2 days early so I pushed the dealer to prep the bike and get it ready to ship and they accommodated the request then the driver was a day late. Foreword to 2/29 I have attempted to call and text the driver asking for a delivery window and he never replies. Now I am in the middle of moving my home and have details left unanswered. I reached out to Get it Done and no response from them. In the middle of my moving day I get a call from the driver he is at my house. The new one with no arrangements made I drop what I am doing tell the movers to go home drive an hour to meet a man that could not unload the bike he took by himself. I had to unload this motorcycle from a car carrier then go home 6 houses without a tag because the driver could not navigate or turn around. Then I am at the new home without water to use and the bike is covered in diesel fuel debris. I contacted the company and he offered to help after I posted the review he hadn't seen then he never responded to me again he has no interest in making this work. He is doing damage control and now rates me on my reviews. Most don't comment on things unless they go badly or amazing and amazing is not so frequent in life. I wouldn't be bought for a few hundred dollars, the bike has lots of scars from the tie down straps vibrating in the wind. I was told the bike would be transported behind the cab sideways out of the wind! That's the first lie and the rest is just lack of communication for 36 hrs I tried to find out when is delivery and no one cared my bike was in a truck I couldn't track. Never again. If I could rate this -5 stars I would. Charged my card for a deposit, tried to up charge me an additional $50, changed the date multiple times for delivery, lied to me refunding my credit card. They never delivered the motorcycle. Transportation companies as a whole are pretty misleading to begin with but I would avoid this one like a plague. read more

UPDATE: Sooooo I had to add more recent photos/screenshots of ED since he sent that lengthy response to MY review. Funny, I've heard from Get it Done more now since my review than when I was trying to get my vehicle shipped. ED, one of the owners referred to me as bitter and then stated no one ignored my attempts to reach out to him so I sent screenshots of each of my attempts as proof (with the exception of my phone calls) then he said that person was fired. I'm not bitter- look for a better descriptor pal (how do you not see your male bias). Perhaps if less time was spent responding to reviews and more time coordinating with the shipping companies things would be better organized! My experience was a 1 and that was my truth. If personnel changes took place during the middle of my transport the onus was on Get it Done to ensure the customers didn't suffer. NO ONE reached out to me and my pick up was first 2 days early and then 3 days late. I was asked to do things that Were not initially discussed (leave my keys in the car overnight, drive to a location instead of door to door) and i got the run around from the shipping company and i had to be the one going back and forth with them NOT Get it Done-so I'm confused why they are confused. It would be nice to see them take some responsibility instead of putting the onus on me, the customer-but hey I won't resort to name calling as ED has, my experience speaks for itself. The 1 was and continues to be well earned. Here are my top 3 issues with this company: 1) they guaranteed a price in the beginning; I even reached out via text to ensure the cost wouldn't later increase because i know how some of these companies can be. Despite my efforts and the "guarantee" they still called me less than two weeks prior to my shipping date to get more money out of me. Initially they asked for $150 but I only ended up giving them $75 more because I needed my car to ship and With such a short turnaround time I knew I'd be paying even more to find a new company and driver-and I believe they knew that too which is why they waited until the last minute to change the price. Additionally, he kept telling me that he was doing me a favor and I had to remind him that HE guaranteed one price and was now asking ME for more money so he wasn't doing me a solid. 2) they gave the shipping company the wrong date so they arrived on Friday May 3rd to pick up my car. Then I was told someone would be there on Monday and every day I was told a new time then a new day- but what sucked is when the driver didn't make the scheduled time no one EVER called me to tell me anything. I instead was sitting around looking silly and calling around trying to get word from someone. The driver didn't arrive until Wednesday which meant I had to pay more money to change my flight because i was originally scheduled to fly out Tuesday. While I recognize this is NOT Get it Done's fault, they stopped responding to any of my emails, texts and phone calls and Ed promised to personally monitor the details of my shipping but he went ghost. Additionally, I felt since they hired this company I couldn't understand why they weren't trying to resolve these issues. There was a major lack of transparency as they didn't follow through with their promise to be there throughout the process-per their website. 3) the trucking company they hired was terrible from start to finish-arriving 3 days early then 3 days late and when they dropped my car off it wreaked if cigarettes and my adapter was missing (which they replaced)-Thanks Donna. But they were terrible and one of their dispatchers was extremely condescending which I'll address when I do their review! Overall, I don't recommend this company for single women. This company run totally by men behave as typical males In our society do-speaking to me as I don't know what they're talking about or that I was being dramatic when commitments that were made weren't being honored. They clearly abide by the "old boys club" rules so if you're male then you should be good using this company! This was my second time doing a cross country auto shipping and they were unbelievably unprofessional. read more

Think about this and read others. my deposit was $190 they charged me $290 then two days later charged me another $100 without my permission or even contacting me. Mistake? I think not.
