After reading all the great reviews and the quote was lower than most auto shippers, I decided to go with Coastal Auto Shipping. It was my first time handling such a big move by myself and he helped me through the whole process even when questions I asked may have sounded repetitive. He was patient and a pleasant person to work with. To the day, I signed up and the day I dropped my car off at the port in Oakland. Coastal Auto Shipping was with me throughout the process. Car was shipped by Matson to Hawaii and arrived with no issues. Oh it also arrived earlier than it's ETA! I would highly recommend using Coastal Auto Shipping!

The only challenge I during this whole process was with the transport company themselves - they had agreed to a delivery period (after 8pm because my friend receiving my vehicle works full time) and the day before insisted my friend HAD to be available from 12-2pm to receive my car and they could not do any other time. They essentially forced my friend to take a day off - and on the day of delivery, the transport company kept running late and ended up delivering after 8pm anyway! That was really challenging for us working out receiving the car.

Not an easy ask when transporting from Oregon to Florida. I've worked with several transport brokers in the past with mostly good outcomes, but Bruce is now at the top of my list. The driver showed up within the 3 hour window for both pick up and delivery. He met us at a convenient location nearby where he could load and unload safely. They are not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. We went with a cheaper carrier for our first car when were shipping from the East coast to the West coast and it was a nightmare. But these guys made it easy. They did what they said they would do and the car showed up in perfect condition. (The previous company we used delivered my husband's car covered in dirt and dusted that took like 3 washes to get off.) So the bottom line is, if you want less stress and an undamaged and clean car, go with this company.

When there was no call for delivery, called and asked about it. At first the excuse was heavy traffice then when it wasn't delivered the next time, was told a car wasn't ready to be picked up and had to wait. Again, a date and time was given, no show. I was then told it would be 9am on 12/25. When called at 10am, as it was a no show, or even a call to change the time, was very nasty. Said was sleeping and was screaming, as it got to him. Lied about the time he said the day before. The last time it was 8 days until I got it. It is now 6 days and there has been no delivery.

If…read moreyou've ever needed to get your car shipped, you know that it can be a pretty terrifying experience simply because you don't know who will be taking care and who will be driving your car. After hours of doing our research and receiving tons of emails from dozens of brokers, we decided to work with Bill from Plymouth and we are so happy we did. If you're familiar with the car shipping industry, you'll know that brokers will often will tell you everything you want to hear in order to get your business. Bill on the other hand will tell you not just the good but he will be very honest with you in regards to what to expect. He's very thorough with explaining the process and doesn't make empty promises. One of the biggest advantages of choosing Bill is the personal service he offers. Unlike the bigger trucking companies, you can actually call him directly on his personal phone line and speak with him if ever you have any questions and that to me is a HUGE bonus. All this wouldn't matter if this wasnt necessary and you don't care about your car, but if you take pride in your car and want to put it in the best hands with a trustable company, then go with Bill because he actually delivers on everything he says he will do. He told me a quote and worked hard to honor it. He told me the car pick up window would be 1-5 days from the pick up date, and my car was picked up by day 3. He told me I could call him anytime for any questions, and he was always there. The one thing I appreciate the most about his company is the customer service and honesty. He definitely exceeded my all of my expectations. If you're like me and immediate trustable customer support is important to you, go with Bill. I can't thank him enough for everything he has done to make me feel comfortable with this entire process and for always being there whenever I had any questions. I will most definitely be returning to him to ship my car back to California when I return to the country. Bottom line, if you're reading this review, look no further and get in touch with Bill. I guarantee you that you will be happy that you did. You can request a quote on Yelp which is what I did and if you do, I bet you he will respond to you ASAP just as he does throughout the entire process! Thank you again for everything, Bill! :)
