First off, if you are looking to ship a vehicle, you will find thousands of brokers online wanting to ship your vehicle. A fair amount of them are unscrupulous and make promises they cannot deliver on. I found David with "Get It Done Transportation Inc", and with the initial conversation with him, I felt that this was the company I would use. David seemed to be very honest, personable, and competitive pricing. Once I had my contract set up, my vehicle was picked up - on time - by a pleasant young man who took special care of my property with securing my vehicle. Although my car was delivered a day later than expected (due to unforeseen circumstances), everyone I dealt with was positive and professional! The driver that delivered my car was made aware that I had medicine packed in ice for the trip and actually STOPPED along the way to add ice and make sure that the contents stayed refrigerated. Both the carrier as well as "Get It Done Transportation Inc" was positive. David called to explain and apologize for the delay and even offered compensation - which I declined. Second car I've had transported by Get It Done Transportation. Did a great job both times. First car was a rust filled 62 Volkswagen notchback, the second car was a solid 62 Volkswagen Beetle. Took the care and were reliable as I expected. I was really down to the wire on the second transport when another company took too long to get the car, I cancelled with them and went with GIDT and they picked my car up the next day, and was delivered in 2 days from New Mexico to Virginia. If I ever need to get cars transported I will always go through GIDT. read more

I've been around the block more than enough to know that the way they handled my order was absolutely horrific. I spoke with Mark, seemed like a great guy until he kept important information from me. He hired another company to ship my car once it got to LA, California. I live 2 hrs from LA and an hour from where this company's last stop is. He didn't mention to me at all, that i would have to drive 1 hr to pick my vehicle up. Nor did the company he hired give me adequate time to know i would be driving an hour away. They called the day of, not the day before. And DEMANDED i find a location for THEIR TRUCK to pull into when I'm not familiar with the area. That is no ones responsibility but the truck drivers. Come to find out he told me he would be there a certain time, he was 2 hours late. Then he was another hr late. Didn't even pull into the HUGE parking lot i told him too pull into. Instead he found it a better idea to offload my vehicle on the side of a busy street 3 miles away. I called Mark and left an urgent message and he never returned my phone call. When running a business the least you can do is give a call back and explain what the hell happened. I understand that what the other company that took my car from LA to another city does is in no way his fault. But you guys need to know who the hell you're hiring and how they run their business. Scammers! BEWARE! They give you a lowball quote that none of the drivers will pick up for, and then give you the run around when you finally get someone to answer the phone. They also overcharged $50 when I scheduled the pick up. They said it would be corrected, but never was. Liars and scammers. They are a broker, not a carrier. They subcontract your car move to an independent trucking company. I booked my move a month in advance. I made it clear I needed my car in VA on 10/19. Joe called me and told me he would have my car picked up on 10/17, and it would only take 2-3 days to get it from AZ to VA. I asked him to move the pickup to 10/16 as other companies were telling me it would take 4-7 days. He told me other companies would tell me what I wanted to hear, then screw me at the last minute when there was nothing I could do. He should know. That's exactly what he did. I left my car with my son in law and we headed to VA on 10/15. On 10/17, my son in law called to tell me that the driver was not going to pick up our car until 10/19, the day we needed it in VA. I called Joe who had his driver pick up the car on 10/18. Now, Joe told me it would take 3-4 days to transport my car. When my car didn't show on 10/22, Joe told me it would take 5-6 days. My car finally arrived on 10/26, one week after I told Get It Done I needed it. The driver told me he told Joe from the beginning that he wouldn't be able to pick up my car until 10/18 and that it would take 7-8 days to get it to VA. Joe lied to get the bid, and then lied through the whole process. I had to add $352 for a rental car and $25 for an Uber. I filed a complaint with the BBB. The owner said I should have known it would take more than 2-3 days to move my car (translation, I should have known his employee was lying to me). Their reviews on Google and FB are fake. The reviews there can only be modified by the business owner. That's why the reviews there are all 5s. and the reviews here are mostly 1s. I had reached out to this company for a quote to transport a car from Fayetteville, NC to San Francisco, CA. David had called me on 7/2 and rushed me through the process of getting the credit card info for a deposit along with verifying if pick-up between 7/2 through 7/9 was ok, which it was. The deposit has been charged to my credit card and there still has not been a pick-up made. Now I have only one more business day to have this car picked up and have been put in a bind. I've made numerous calls and of the times David picked up, he would note that he'd call back. There's been no call-back at all. I've even sent in 2 emails and there has been no response. Unfortunately we are not having a good experience with this company. We are trying to get my son's car from CA to MA and got a quote from Dave. My wife spoke to him briefly on the phone to inquire about the process. He mentioned that he would try to get a carrier and get back to her. Since then we haven't been able to contact the company and Dave does not respond to calls or emails. So we made a contract with a different company only to find out that Get it Done has posted our vehicle for transport and the other company can't post it. David worked endlessly to help me get my Mercedes shipped with in a very short time frame. After that, the company never answered another call). Today is 8/16 my car isn't here and The company never reached out to me or emailed me back regarding finding a driver. I called them 3-4 times and I have plenty of emails reaching out to them regarding when my car will be shipped and I've heard NOTHING nor have I gotten my deposit back. Mercedes Benz has reached out to them, received nothing. The right thing to do was to list my car high enough to get a driver to take the job even if the company loses money because that's good customer service and for putting me out of convenience. Now I'm left with either taking a flight to Florida, taking off work, driving my car 16 hours back to Tennessee OR over paying another transportation company due to the inconsistencies and negligence from this company. I've attempted to contact him via email and voicemail for several days to no avail. Unreliable to say the least with unrealistic timelines. Well...I've quickly learned most of what I was told was not true. I never got the truck drivers number. That may have something to do with CFR transporting all their cars by rail. That's right. When I first asked CFR about the train I was told by customer service that they did not have the shipping info and I needed to check with my broker. When I asked sales the guy said "yea...we ship all our cars by rail." 24/7 service? Yea. I have a phone number I can call...but there is no one who picks up. September 2nd deliver? Well...it's September 6th and I have no idea where my car is. CFR customer service is a pain. They make you feel like you are bothering them. How dare I call and try and get an update on my car. They charged me a deposit of 190$ for a total of $1,090 towing from GA to TX a month before stating that I had to send them my card information and a deposit to save my spot. A month later they tried to take my car earlier the 12th of september when I had saved a spot for the 20th of september, then that same day I called and he said it was a confusion and I was still set for the 20th and he would just send me an email assuring me BUT HE ACTUALLY CHARGED 200$ UNAUTHORIZED and I texted him confused and his reason was that the new driver was a bit more expensive, yet Dave Pein only told me he was sending me another email and NEVER told me they were going to charge me more which was a RED FLAG. After that he sent me an email with a different total amount of $1,140 which was not the amount we agreed on and said it was a typo and it would be corrected . Then the 20th came and he did not call or let me know anything about my car was getting picked up so I had to call to receive updates, Dave Pein would say he would call in 30 minutes but hours would go by, I had to call multiple times but he would say he was still working on it, I called once more and he said he would call in a few minutes stating he was on his way to his office and did not even call back. I decided to cancel the services at the end of the day due to lack of communication and suspicious activity. I started looking at their 1 star ratings in different websites and many people had gone through the same that's when I knew it was a scam. They took $390 dollars from me with no transportation service done and when I tried to cancel they did not answer emails, texts, or phone call. I had to trick Dave Pein in answering me by going to the website and trying to get a quote with a different number and he answered saying he would give me the refund without an apology for not responding. The only reason he answered was because it was another number yet he answered right away when he couldn't even answer me. Your response was very reassuring. But to date no contact or no resolution. I have had numerous friends contact me for recommendations for a car carrier. I'm sorry to report, until this issue is resolved, I am telling them to stay away from your company. I'm glad your addressing carrier issues, but this does not resolve my problem. UPDATE: It's been almost a month and we still have yet to receive the $100 AMEX card that David said he would send to offset the cost of the rental car. Yet another example of how Get It Done, doesn't do what they say they will do. They just want to sweep this under the rug and hope that people will forget about it. David's response to my initial review was not true. Please see comments below. -- We did not speak every day and the only email communication we had was emailed receipts for payments. -- I asked to change the delivery location more than a week before the delivery date requested and BEFORE the vehicle was picked up. Ample time to find a different driver or contact me to let me know you couldn't get it there on time so that I could have found another company. And the initial pickup day was scheduled on a Sunday which the car did not get picked up until a Thursday. I understand that things happen. Update: Changed my review down to one star, it's clear from more recent reviews that Dave still hasn't learned any skills in customer service or even returning phone calls. I would urge everyone to pick a different company, even if it means paying more, it'll save you such a headache dealing with a man who refuses to see his faults. So I live in Iowa and my car broke down on a road trip to Oregon, the repairs weren't finished in time for me to drive the car home so I contacted Get It Done to transport my car home. After getting a quote it was a nightmare trying to get ahold of anyone to even set up the transportation. Once everything was finally scheduled I was told it would it would be on a truck by Monday the latest. The entire weekend I was unable to get a hold of Dave to find out where it was. That or he would answer, tell me he was on lunch and would call back within 15 minutes and I would not hear from him again. Cut to a week later, still have not heard from Dave, returning no voicemails or anything, I finally called the repair shop in Oregon only to find out it was still sitting there when I was expecting it home already. So I sent him a text telling him I no longer wished to work with him and, of course, I magically get a response where he promises it will be taken care of. At this point I was put in contact with the truck driver who was a saint and I give almost all credit to him for my car finally returning. I want to make it very clear here that my issue is entirely with his communication skills, which are pretty much nonexistent. He lied multiple times on when he would get ahold of me or return my calls. If you're planning on using this company...BEWARE. I used Get It Done Transportation (GIDT) to transport my mother's vehicle 2 years ago, and all went without a snag. HOWEVER...I was going to use their service this year, but what happened while I was setting up the service this week borders on fraudulence. Unbeknownst to me and without my authorization, GIDT saved my credit card from 2 years ago and never deleted it from their system. When David M. was taking down my information, he said I would need to pay a deposit, and I explained I would need to call back later with my mother's credit card number because the service was for her. GIDT decided to help themselves to my personal credit card that they had in their system from 2 years ago and processed the charge for the deposit and did not wait for me to call back with my mother's credit card number. Not only did they process a charge I hadn't authorized, they charged me $175 deposit when David had quoted me $150. After I spoke with David the first time, I received an email which I thought was a quote for the service. It said that the deposit was $170 so I emailed David asking him to confirm that the deposit amount to which he replied confirming it was $150. That same evening, I was checking my credit card account online for something unrelated and noticed a charge from GIDT for $175 which I found shocking since I hadn't provided them with a credit card number to set up the transport service. I immediately emailed David to dispute this charge and requested that GIDT void this charge. When I didn't receive a reply back, the next day I spoke with David, and he said they would process a refund and that they would confirm via email. I have not heard back at all from GIDT so now I've had to submit a dispute claim to my credit card company. Based on others' reviews on Yelp, it appears that Get It Done Transportation has a pattern of charging customers' credit cards without their authorization. I cannot do business with a company that is not trustworthy. We had never transported cars across the country so this was a good experience for us but also learning experience for us . We did not realise that the transportation trap couldn't come to the house to pick up the vehicle is in that we actually had to have on cars picked up at the mall and the other thing we didn't realise is that we needed to tell the driver also what day we need the cars to be at the destination and not just Dave. We did receive our cars in perfect condition and in a timely manner and the driver did stay in contact with us as he travelled across the country. This company is awful. I should have read the reviews. They were to transport my son's car from Arizona to NJ between 5/6 and 5/8, while I was in Arizona visiting my son for graduation. I stressed the importance of being able to transport the car in that time frame as my son was leaving Arizona. I must have called the company 2 dozen times, and NEVER once did they return my call. On the rare occasions they picked up, the owner said he would get back to me in 15 minutes and never did. He promised the the driver was "on his way" twice. Finally, after the last promised date went past (on May 10, after I had received the last promise that the vehicle was on his way and would pick up the car in the evening of May 9 or on the morning of May 10), I requested my deposit back. Well This was total bs. I listened to Joe (and then David) and the lies fall off their tongue so easily as they have done it so many times. You can almost smell apple pies baking in the background and hear baseball in the back of your mind talking to these "good ol boys". Well that is where it ends. This is some of the presale crap: You are helping a little girl get dance lessons, a little boy get his team jersey, a mom or dad put food on the table, a family pay a mortgage, or a student pay for college. They say "10 point inspection of your vehicle at pick up and the exact 10 point inspection at drop off to make sure it arrives in the exact condition." None was done on pick up. Driver told me he did not do one because the car was "flawless" He said the same to the previous owner. When I asked for one upon delivery(That wasn't even near where it was supposed to be, we had to drive mines from our house to find him and he unloaded my car on someones private property with out permission) he refused and said it was exactly the way it was when he picked it up(although was delivered a day later, left outside god knows were all night with no protection) When I pointed out a scratch all the way to the metal and strap burns on a fender he got in my face and started yelling at me. Also the previous owned told me the driver did not remove the two license plate screws and just tore the bracket off the bumper and the braket was destroyed and needed to be replaced as it was part of the car I bought.This is what they sent me before I paid:NO HIDDEN FEES, All inclusive, Door to door service, taxes, tolls, mileage, gas, insurance (up 150k, with NO deductible to you), So I call Joe and Dave and am told not to worry about it and I go and get an estimate at a reputable place and it is over $2200.00. I send it to Dave. At this point they refuse to answer my phone calls and emails. Dave tells me that they will no longer use that driver. Like what good does that do me? The driver and his boss will not talk to me. When I called them all they did was yell. I wish I never used these people. They promise the world and if everything goes smoothly I'd imagine they are fine. However if you need them as they promise the will be there for you. You get nothing. Do not use these liars. Spread the word. In fact google them, MANY sites about fraud and bad service, taking deposits and not even picking up the cars. I hired this transportation company. They hired the driver, not me. Now I have a Shelby show car with $2200.00 damage and there is no sight of compensation from these asses. read more
