I thought about fixing it myself but decided to hire a pro. Finding a place which restores old lamps which also had good reviews required some research but with the assistance of Yelp. I finally zeroed in on Lightworks. They did an excellent job of restoring my lamp. In addition to replacing the switch they also replaced the cord. They even found a plug which is appropriate to the era (see picture). They are not easy to find. They are located at the back of a rather large building with several tenants. Go north on 14 th Street from East Hennepin about 3 blocks until you reach Winter Street. Keep going straight across Winter on 14 th. It dead ends after about a block and Lightworks is on the left. In addition to repairs they have a nice selection of light fixtures which are restored originals or replicate vintage fixtures. Great if you have an older home. I highly recommend.

We were able to build a "wish list" with an associate, where every item that piqued our interested was populated under her new account. After doing some research online, I discovered Fan Man Lighting in Apple Valley Minnesota. I called and spoke with a representative describing the symptoms of the fan stopping and when the Inteli-Switch was depressed the blades moved an inch then stopped abruptly. I was advised that the circuit board had apparently failed after over 25 years. Since the circuit boards are virtually nonexistent, Fan Man Lighting has begun manufacturing their own however, a replacement switch had to also be installed to operate the new circuit board. I placed an order at the recommendation of the representative and both parts were were shipped. I received the replacement circuit board and switch within five days. A QR code located in the instruction sheet, which was very clear linked to a video on how to install which took less than 45 minutes. Once installed, I still had the same issue. I called Fan Man Lighting for further assistance. The family business owner Jason offered to FaceTime me to watch what was happening with the fan. He immediately noticed that the fan flywheel was to low and had apparently dropped which impaired the fan blade rotation. Jason spent 35 minutes with me on FaceTime walking me through how to raise the flywheel and then tighten in against the shaft flat indent with a 3mm Allen Wrench. Successful operation was achieved! Jason stated I could certainly return the parts via UPS in the provided box for a full refund. My wife and I are so grateful for the assistance from Jason and his employees Jack, technical support and Alex, in sales. Though it took time to receive the parts, enabling further diagnosis and eliminate other issues, ultimately the Fan Man Lighting owner Jason took the time at no cost to us to be sure we were satisfied with a working gem of a Casablanca Ceiling Fan. We highly recommend this business for any ceiling fan repairs or replacements nationwide. It's great to know that they have the parts, knowledge, experience, and professionalism to service their customers.

All they could do is confirm that the two beds were not fixable. Uh, yes, your delivery assembly team told you that already. I thought they were coming out with new parts to fix the two beds. Nope. Next they promised to send new beds the following week. Following week, the King replacement worked, but the new Queen bed that was delivered was also unable to be assembled. I told the rep on the phone that I wanted all of it returned and my money refunded because I'm concerned about how long this furniture will last if it can't even get delivered without being broken. He offered a small refund of a portion of our bill and promised to assemble the next bed ahead of time to ensure no issues. The following week, the bed was once again not working, and had obvioisly not been assembled before delivery as promised. This time my husband who is an aviation engineer and DIY handyman around the house helped troubleshoot the assembly and managed to get the drawers installed and working (for now). We had guests coming the next day so weren't able to restart the furniture search. I'm just grateful my husband was able to troubleshoot the furniture. We will not ever shop at Bob's again. The 2 stars is because their delivery teams, their repair person, their salesperson at the store and their customer service teams were all extremely nice. Bob's just doesn't make good furniture. That's a problem. Three Queen deliveries and 3 were unrepairable or needing to be repaired. Unacceptable.
